She's very thorough and takes her time. We ended up making multiple appointments because she was trying to out weigh the diagnosis for his cough. The second appointment which was only two days after the first one she sent us for an x-day because it was just to concerning and rushed it just in case. An hour later she called and said he had pneumonia. She wanted to keep a close eye and squeezed us in for another appointment to make sure he starts cleaning up. We're new to the area and found Dr. Peterson through our insurance network. We love Dr. Peterson, and we love her assistant, Justine. For the most part the front desk seems efficient enough - my only interaction being checking in and out, and they always seem slammed so really not too much to go on at this point. I show up today with my daughter in tow for scheduled shots. Long story short, the doctor who was supposed to sign off on these shots got called away on an emergency. Of course, I understand that; things happen. However, I was not notified of this and had not only made the twenty-minute trek to the office on time but had also rearranged my schedule last week when making this appointment, only to be told of the emergency in that moment and "could we reschedule?", as if I had a choice. Life is hectic, this I know, and is always full of little interruptions and changes. The front desk of any medical office is always buzzing, but it's really poor form to overlook giving scheduled patients a head's up on changes to their appointments. It's making me nervous that we've just recently established ourselves with this group and are already having to deal with something like this. I guess I'll have to set a reminder to call before our appointment to ensure that someone will be available as scheduled. But then, wouldn't that mean that I'm actually doing their work for them? Like I said, I really want to like this group...

They prescribed antibiotics, and my son is already feeling much better. But what prompted me to write this review is that a good Samaritan found my credit card on the ground outside the office, and the office held onto it for me until I could come pick it up. I had a clinician in my home within 4 hours of calling, and she was also thorough, kind, and candid in her assessment. I loved that a technician traveled with her so she didn't have to chart, and she could focus on putting my strange symptoms together, make an accurate diagnosis, and arrange a series of medications to be called in directly to my pharmacy. The best part? The visit was more affordable than urgent care under my insurance plan, and I got to be treated in my home. I considered not posting this review, because I don't want too many people to know about Doctoroo, but my experience was too great to stay quiet. I will definitely be reaching out again in the future (but, hopefully, I won't have to too soon.)
