Got a full set of acrylic nails, they're not great by any means. They wouldn't do the nail shape I had requested. I got burnt on the tip of my thumb from the efile, and at the end of the service, the dog "Lucky" bit me. They didn't apologize or offer me any kind of refund. Love the NEW OWNERS, Jimmy and Stephanie are awesome. Very friendly and theycare about what they are doing for you. They both took the extra time to make sure we were happy with our service. I have been getting my nails done for a least 15 years now and I have to say I think this was the best place I have been(and I have been to a lot of places). I got the solar nails and it was amazaing how nice they look. I have never had them in the past, always had gel but after what I saw Jimmy could do I tried it and love it. DO NOT GO HERE. They used to be ok before they got new owners. Me and my sister went today for a basic manicure. They used the same tools on both of us. My sister said something and all the manicurist did was pour rubbing alcohol on the tools. The file and buffer were used on both of us and were definitely not brand new. Yeah I would give this place zero stars if I could... My friend and I, locals, who don't get acrylics often decided to be spontaneous and get our nails done. Stopped at the new place on main st, Littleton Nails or something, and they were so busy they couldn't accept walk-ins. We went here instead, we pulled into the parking lot and it was a ghost town pretty much. Big surprise. This place is over priced for the shoddy service you get, not to mention the male manager/employee was EXTREMELY rude to me and to top it off my natural nails have never been more WRECKED from acrylics. I was with the younger girl who spoke not a word of english while my friend was with the guy who could communicate. It's pretty clear that this place is NOT USED to doing anything other than just plain square nails with french tips because this girl had NO CLUE what I was asking her. Maybe service would be better if you could actually communicate with your customer. I asked for what amounted to medium length almond shaped nails, nude polish, with glitter brushed on the tips. Not very complicated. She was really confused and had no idea what I was asking her, it took her three times to try and shape my nails the way I wanted, totally round at the top (no), then to extremely sharp claws (NO), then to extremely sharp but then filed down flat at the top (??????) but I just wanted ALMOND. It probably took 20 minutes of me trying to explain it to her and each time the guy stopped working on my friend to get up and awkwardly hover over us while I tried to explain to 2 people working at a nail salon what almond nails are. Eventually he says to me when I find a photo example, "She already do that! You ask her, she do it, that's what you want the first time! Maybe it just you! Maybe you too picky! Make up your mind, lady." I kid you not that's what he said to me. I was so taken off guard I just said nothing while they talked to each other in taiwanese. She removed the botched nail and when she was done they switched working on me cause it was just that hard I guess. The guy shaped my nails horribly and uneven, shoved his thumbnails so harshly into some of my cuticles I actually got a couple little scabs later on. The girl painted my nails when she was done she couldn't figure out what I was asking her YET AGAIN. Not french tips. Not a solid strip of color across the top. Just glitter brushed from the tip like a slight little shower of glitter, aka gradient but there was no use trying to say that. As a nail salon you should be able to understand customers' request OTHER than just "square tips, french tips." What I was asking for was not a complicated masterpiece. FINALLY was able to get out of there, but I thought for a second maybe I really was being difficult, so I left a $10 tip, $5 for each. Yeah well within 20 minutes I REGRETTED that, thinking back on how rudely I was spoken to and how they made it seem like I was asking for the most exotic and foreign manicure they've ever seen and I was being just sooo difficult for them. Thinking back on it I WASN'T, I got sh*tty service, couldn't communicate at all, and my manicure wasn't even worth all that trouble. It was uneven, thick, bubbly, and tips were crooked and asymmetrical. No payoff. Just $55 down the drain for being talked down to. Neither of us liked how our nails turned out. My friend's nails were so unusually thick relative to how short they were, and she said she felt awkward the whole time while they were having so much trouble over me. She sat for another 20 minutes while I tried to get MY nails done the way I wanted-- that's how it works when you spend $45, you tell them what you want and they do it. They don't argue and call you difficult for asking for something a little different. Not to mention our nail beds KILLED for several days after. This happened like a month or 2 ago and finally these awful things are coming off, and I'm discovering my real nails are basically shredded. It happens with acrylics but I've never had my nails screwed so badly by a salon before. They're so horribly peeled down several layers and some of my nails have even RIPPED straight across but while still attached to my nail bed. Can't wait to deal with that when it catches on something. I haven't gone to this place in like 5 years and now I'm remembering why. Also worth mentioning that not a single other customer came in the entire time we were there, which was a while. Just one woman coming in as we were leaving. Meanwhile the place on main st. has all the business, we even wanted to go there in the first place. So the point is CALL AHEAD and schedule a time with the main st salon and do not waste your time, money, and energy trying to deal with what I dealt with. Maybe that guy isn't as rude to everyone but he certainly was a rude a** to me.
