DANGER! PLEASE READ!! I went to Tire Choice for a wiggle in my steering wheel. They told me I needed a new intermediate steering shaft and it would cost me $770, which I paid and waited over a month for at that time. The mechanic mentioned he was waiting on AutoZone for the part, so I called to confirm and was told by autozone that they were indeed waiting on my part even though I couldn't order it as a layman. The wiggle was NOT fixed when this 'new' part was installed so I was promised a new clock spring to attempt to fix it. This took another month. After which it was STILL not fixed. This entire time I was repeatedly assured that my car was SAFE TO DRIVE. My wheel shook, but what did I know? It made me nervous to drive highway so I was topping a hill on a back road going about 45mph when my tire blew. The drive home was...interesting. Even with the donut on-my wheel wasn't shaking! I went to Tire Choice to tell them this and they sold me tires and sent me on my way. The next day, I was reversing and straightening out to leave a friend's house when my steering wheel KLUNKED and I lost the ability to control the tires. As my new mechanic put it, the part DISINTEGRATED while I was driving it!! My new mechanic informed me that the intermediate steering shaft for my car could ONLY be ordered through a dealership! He also fixed the wiggly wheel for $25, btw. Tire Choice is part of Monro Corporate and they are only covering the repairs by the new mechanic and they have taken a week to review the case (never once reaching out to me), and are telling me to it will be another week before the check is even MAILED! I am still in the hole for the $770 charge for the unnecessary parts they installed that caused TWO NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES IN A ROW. This has been a massive strain on my finances and a drain on my mental health for what should have been a simple fix. I have also never received even a simple apology at any point. They do not seem to care about their customers' safety in the slightest. Thank you for taking the time to read this whole thing. It's been a nightmare. read more

i Had my brakes done on the car. Got home hear this medal rubbing noise. brought it back and they fixed the bent dust place they bent. then i was driving and hearing this noise, and the tires didnt feel right. so I bought it to MIDAS. They had put the wrong lug nets on my car, plus the back brake on passenger side was on BACKWARDS!! , not to mention cheap parts!!. Now am having to get it fixed right!! Went there because I was having a problem with my brakes. This place diagnosed the issue incorrectly AND quoted me double that another business quoted and this place did BOTH brakes. My wife has been there 3 times for oil changes and tire rotations. One time they said that they had changed the air filter, which they didn't, but charged her for it. I called and bitched at them. They refunded the charge and promised a free oil change, which they never honored. Another time she went and said her wipers needed changed, they only changed one. Third time when they rotated the tires, they over torqued all lug nuts breaking one and cross threading one. I replaced 3 lug studs and nuts because of their unprofessional services. I told my wife she'd be ahead going to Walmart up the road. read more

I have visited this Monroe Muffler location 5-6 times. Generally speaking, my appointments were for an oil change and free tire rotation. In all cases, I was entirely satisfied with their workmanship and the service at the front desk. During my time sitting in the waiting area, I have never seen an unsatisfied customer but that is not to mean to suggest that does not happen. In fact, if you look at automotive repair businesses on Yelp, they tend to be burdened with many negative reviews. Specifically, the front desk style at this Monroe Muffler location is refreshing. All my experience has been with Scott. After the work has been completed on my car, Scott has always gone over the work completed and any other repair items that might be recommended based on wear or mileage. I have never felt the typical "hard sell" that sometimes is used in automotive repair businesses but those items that reasonably require attention have been explained in a professional manner. Monroe often has sale items and bundles services where substantial savings are available. I have a 3 year old car with 61,000 miles that will soon need brakes, tires & etc. I am confident that the Alliance Monroe Muffler can provide these services at a competitive cost and that I can depend on their quality. To be fair, I have had to return twice after an oil change to get the correct tire pressure in all four tires. I have 225/45-18 tires that require 35 psi. There have been two times that all 4 tires were at 32 psi. My guess is 32 psi is common to many tire brands and sizes and was just an oversight by the service technician. In both cases, when I returned to the store, the technician came out immediately and put in the correct pressure. This in no way reflects on the otherwise excellent service that I have experienced here in the past 2 years. read more

We desperately needed an oil change for my husband's car. They were open on a Sunday and were able to get us in. Service was great and they inspected everything! We needed tires as well, so we had them give us a quote. We were expecting about $200-300 higher than what they quoted us--a pleasant surprise! We just returned with our new KELLY 55,000 mile tires. Everyone has their own story but for me this store is excellent. I made an appointment online and waited less than 5 minutes. They took my keys and did only the service I asked for. The office staff also answers the phone, works on cars, and deals with customers. I like bringing my car here and I have been coming for 9 years and have no reason to change that. They checked on the 3 of us in the waiting room to see if we needed anything. Very satisfied and highly recommend. read more

They charged me $600 for a thermostat and housing replacement that at any other shop would have been $200. Called the manager and corporate and they refused a refund. Finally called my credit card company and filed a dispute. NEVER GO HERE! read more

I wish there were more stars! We were viisting from out of state when my exhaust system blew on a Saturday evening as I was passing through Alliance from visiting my dad. Part of the exhaust was dragging and I needed immediate help. I pulled into an auto parts store for advice, and they sent me straight to Monro Muffler. I was disheartened to see they were closed when I arrived, but Bill (the manager) was still behind the counter finishing up the day. I tapped on the glass and he immediately let me in, did a quick assessment of the damage, and took the time to make a few phone calls to try and get parts for the next morning. By the time my husband came to get me, Bill had a plan. Although we didn't have an appointment, he was able to repair our car the next day. Two days later we drove 7 hours, arriving home without any issues. Thank you Bill and crew at Monro Muffler! You really saved me from distress on Saturday night, and got us home safe and sound!
