Bought tires there in November 2025. This past Saturday had a tire failure on the Maine Turnpike at 70 miles an hour in the rain. No nails. No reason for a flat. Get home and blow up the tire trying to figure out what went wrong. Literally bulging bubbles on the side wall! Tire failure! Tire Warehouse would NOT do the right thing insisting that because I didn't buy road hazard insurance they couldn't replace it for free. I've been a customer of this business for a number of years, but that's over now. Things have been waning considerably for awhile, but my last visit was just ridiculous. Appointments made via their online scheduler are a joke and mean nothing. When you arrive you are greeted by an empty, soulless lobby. No way of signaling to anyone that you're there - you just wait until an overstaffed mechanic comes to the front by chance. Maybe you'll be brave and just walk through the back door to the shop... when you'll then realize you've crossed into the Twilight Zone. read more

I called Tire Warehouse about a slow leak. in my tire they Said bring it right in .I had previously taken my car to a dealership and they could not find any leak. The nice technician at Tire Warehouse found a nail with no head. He quickly patched the tire and re-inflated all of the tires to the specs. Good service and I was out the door in 30 minutes. well, I stopped in on Monday looking for tires for my truck. the guy in front was helpful, showed me the tires he had in stock, we talked about wear and road noise, and he gave me a price... I told him I didn't have time on Monday and would be in at noon on wednesday. well, Wednesday came, I showed up, and right from the start the guy ( different one) was rude, telling me I must have gone to the riverside store, said he had no idea what I wanted or a price, kept telling me I was at the wrong store, and was not willing or able to assist me... They were open today on Labor Day. The guys were nice and very helpful. Got a screw stuck in my Tesla Tire. They said they'd do it if I had a the pucks to jack it up. I didn't. I went to Tire Warehouse 126 North Boyd St. Portland just as they opened, as I had ran over a long screw and been calling around to other tire shops for about a week. All of them were booked till the 18th to after Xmas. So I crossed my fingers in hopes if I went in person and told them all's I wanted was a plug and patch that I would leave just the tire there as I had a spare already on my Jeep. I would come back when ever they had time to fix it. I met Nick the manager at the door and explained my situation and that I had already taken the tire off. He told me he had time and to bring it in so I did. Nick then looked where the screw entered the tire and said he couldn't fix it do to being to close to the sidewall. My heart sunk, then he said he could hook me up with a new tire at a discounted price and could mount it on my rim within 15 minutes. Of course I said "YES" as I didn't want to be driving around in the winter, just in case we get a Nor'easter on a dummy tire. About 15 minutes later I had a new tire on my rim I paid him, thanked him and went straight home and put the tire on myself. I highly recommend Tire warehouse, for Nick's understanding of my situation, his professionalism, empathy and kindness!! They will have all my future business. As for the bad reviews I read, just nonsense most likely some spoiled leftist!! My experience was 5 star worthy!! read more

Absolutely the worse customer service we've experienced in Maine. Anywhere. We had made a prior appointment online and arrived properly for it only to be (not) greeted by the person at the desk who quickly barked at us and told us he didn't honor those appointments. No apology. No ownership of his company's mistake or whatever is wrong (or not wrong) with his online system. If the system is broke, FIX IT. If you can't fix it, then get rid of it on your website. We had an online appointment to get our tire replaced after we had a flat in a snow storm. We arrived on time and were told us online appointments weren't aligned with their system in the garage. Therefore, despite an email confirmation, they couldn't and wouldn't honor our appointment. The person we spoke to said, "We tell people to complain to corporate, but the problem doesn't get solved." I would recommend finding a more reputable tire company, there are numerous alternatives. Tire Warehouse offers neither discount pricing or high end service, instead it has full retail prices with mediocre service. Case in point recently purchased 4 Kelly A/S Performance tires, one failed after ten weeks of normal use. I'm having it replaced by another chain with better reputation. PS I forgot to add that when I bought these tires from Tire Warehouse, I was only given two options, the Kellys and a set of higher-cost Michelins. I made a hasty decision and did not shop around, will not make that mistake again. read more

On line is not a thing. Had no interest in helping me out and didn't care for my business. Fine - he'll never have it. I get you're short staffed, but at least treat people with respect. I've never left a bad review before to a single company, but I had my limit today. Recently applied for the Drive card, which they advertise to and link on their site, and received the card number instantly, so I went to buy a new set of tires today and use the card with the special 0% financing that they promote on their website. The rep seemed annoyed that I was using the card in the first place and had to go ask how to do it in the system. Then it turns out you need a pin (which is on the physical card). I called customer support, was talking to a rep within 4 minutes, and she proposed a solution that she just had to verify w/ a rep at Tire Warehouse for proof of identity, and then she'd give them the PIN so I could pay for the tires. The idea of calling to help me out really seemed to put the rep off, and after about 60 seconds of impatiently pressing numbers slammed the phone down, said he couldn't get a rep, and that was that. I told him I would call them again since I easily reached a rep moments earlier and made the call. I had a rep on the phone 2 minutes later and we were ready to verify the store's identity and submit my payment. However, apparently he the rep decided that he was NOT going to spend another minute helping me pay using the card they promote and he went and had them put the original tires back on my car!!!!! I waited with a rep on the phone for 10 minutes so she could talk to a Tire Warehouse employee and submit my payment, but nobody came back out to the desk to talk to me until a tech came in the front door and gave me my keys back w/ the old tires on it. The manager came out to talk to me, but seemed like he was already sick of the story and not really going to listen anyway, and proclaimed they are too busy to deal with talking to the Drive reps. So, in 3 minutes I had a rep on the phone to verify the store. I would have been paid and it would have been over. But instead, they take 15 minutes to take the new tires off my car and put the old ones back on. And when I mentioned their reps attitude with me, the manager scolded ME for talking bad about his employees and kicked me out. Nobody there was willing to spend 5 minutes of their time trying to help me by talking to a rep at Drive... that's all it woudl have taken. Instead, they spent 4 times that amount of time throwing a fit and removing the new tires. INCREDIBLE. read more

Going here was a mistake. I went in to have a slow leak in my tire fixed on Wednesday. I was told it was the seal between the tire and rim, and was probably fixed but if anything wasn't right to come back and they'd take care of it. I wasn't feeling very confident and the tech made a mess of my tire. Sure enough, two days later my tire is still leaking, so I go back in. The head tech tells me he is going to do it himself because the other guy is still training. They find a nail in it, and proceed to try and charge me a second time for a job that was never done in the first place. The representative was extremely rude and aggressive and basically just tried to bully me into paying them a second time. I know he was being dishonest, and just trying to pull a fast one on me over a $28 bill. I will never go here again, and I strongly encourage other people to look elsewhere. Tire Warehouse definitely has the right person in Josh. I needed new tires and Josh had several options for me very quickly. I appreciate it when professionals know their craft. I was given a really great price. Josh even made sure the tires I wanted were transferred from Yarmouth to his store on a Saturday so I could be driving on them the same day. Had my snow tires mounted last week. Not a single employee in the shop wore a mask. They had a plexiglass barrier at the counter, but no other precautions were evident. I get that they might not want to wear a mask while in the garage, but when they're customer-facing they should. The guy who drove my car into and out of the garage had no mask on; airborne particles can be present for quite some time; if that young man were infected but asymptomatic, his breathing in my car could have passed on the virus. read more

The new tire was put on quickly within 20 mins while we waited in the air conditioned lobby with wifi and it was cheaper than the other places we'd stopped on the way that had a day wait. Made an appointment on their website to have snow tires removed. Arrived for my appointment and was told that they didn't have me on the schedule. When I showed them their confirmation email, was told that "the on-line system doesn't always 'coincide' with when we actually have availability." Had good service here in the past but never again. I had a good day today thanks to these guys. As a woman, I'm wary about doing anything car related. To compensate for feeling like I'm going to get ripped off or that I'm not respected, I do a ton of research before I do anything with my car. I also sometimes purposely test places to see if they're being honest. Either way, I compared specs, brands, prices with different retailers. Consulted car loving friends for their opinions. Then I continued to call around for quotes on installation. This location not only beat the installation fees, price matched my online retailer but actually sold me better wheels for the price I was gonna spend on my selected wheels. If you're flexible on the brand, they're really trying to help you get the best deal. What really impressed me though was how knowledgeable and straight forward the gentleman helping me was; I wish I got his name. I knew from our conversation on the phone that he knew his stuff. No other sales rep at the other tire centers I called helped me this efficiently. I was in the same day and out within less than an hour. If I'm going to spend money, I want to spend it somewhere I think deserves it. They deserve it. I also appreciate them not taking advantage of me. We all work hard for our money. They also are extremely busy yet, efficient. That's a good sign. P.S. The tires ride great, did I do some donuts to test it out? Maybe....? read more

These hard working mechanics do their best. I am clueless and did not get my tires rotated every 5000 miles as you should with any tire(I learned). I was very suspicious of the manager when he said this to me after my tires went bald at 25000 mls. I gave him a hard time but he was very patient. When I called around and realized the mistake I had made I went back and had him replace the four and apologized and he discounted the tires heavily. It was very generous since it was entirely my fault for not maintaining the car. They work so hard in all weather and all of them are friendly. Whatever they are getting paid is not enough because they are the best and cheapest around. read more

Tire warehouse: I've been to the bayside TW on three occasions now, and always found them to be exceptionally friendly, helpful, and remarkably affordable. Yesterday my truck threw a tire pressure light. By the time I got to TW to have them investigate it was nearly closing time. Bought a new set of tires for $180 per tire installed...they came with a 60,000 mile "warranty." After not even two years and just 25,000 miles and regular tire rotations, all four tires have next to no tread left on them. Worked with the manager to pursue replacing the tires under the "warranty" and was offered a laughable $32 discount per tire on a new set of tires. The "warranty" is a complete scam. I was driving home after work this past weekend and realized I unfortunately had a flat tire. I was in need of some tires, and stat! As I drive an AWD car, and my tires were close to their expiration date anyhow, I ended up needing to buy four new tires for my Forester. So, on the hunt I went for not only a place that was open at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, but one that was also close and where I could get the tires I needed for my car. I called this location around 3pm on a Saturday afternoon hoping to get a full tire change before they closed at 6 because mama's a busy gal and can't live without her car! After getting my donut tire put on I made my way here to see what they could do for me. I arrived here at 3:20pm, and left at 4pm one happy girl with 4 brand new tires. The guys here are complete professionals, they are efficient and thorough. They have a waiting room with two oversized leather couches along with a vending machine and a television to watch while you're waiting. The atmosphere here is comfortable yet professional. I went back yesterday to get my lug nuts tightened (yes, I actually said that), and it literally took 2 minutes to do, and they were happy to do it! I will come back to this location should I ever have any tire needs in the future! read more

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. This shop destroyed a stud and lug nut on my vehicle and then lied to the insurance company in order to avoid a claim on their end. They caused $400+ worth of damage to my car and refused to fix or compensate me for the repair. DON'T USE THIS SHOP. read more

This review is specific to the North Boyd Street location. I scheduled an appointment for tire replacement, left the vehicle for the appointment, and when my husband went to pick it up, the work hadn't been completed. The guy told us they didn't have a "slip on it" which I am assuming meant a work order, even though I gave details when I scheduled the appointment and left a note with the keys. Then when I asked when they could do it, Phil said to leave it the next day, and they could do it then. My husband then went into to grab the keys and confirm the next day's appointment, and Andrew said they couldn't do it the next day. So, Phil said they could and Andrew said they couldn't, and when I called and spoke with Andrew, he was unapologetic and rude, and he treated me like I was the jerk for expecting them to honor not one, but two, promised appointments. I cannot say enough nice and amazing things about this Tire Warehouse location. We were on the side of a very busy highway with a flatter than flat tire (rental car with no spare) while traveling. We had a AAA towtruck pick us and the car up, but we needed to tell him where to take us & the car. I called so many tire places that told me they were "too busy and/or "too booked " to take a look at our tire. Several told me it would be 1-2 days before they would even be able to take a look at it. I was at my wits end. When I called this tire warehouse location, they didn't hesitate for a second and simply said "have the tow truck bring you here, we will take a look". I am not going to lie, I teared up a bit. When we arrived at the store, they immediately took a look at our tire and when he came in from the shop, I assumed he was going to tell me how long it would take, when he could fit us in, etc. Nope. He had just finished fixing our tire. Seriously. We were in shock. These days, it feels rare to meet folks who are just good people. We met 2 gentlemen today who are just that. Their kindness will not soon be forgotten. I wish I lived in this area so I could make them my go to tire place. Actually, she had none, having been duly impressed by the operation's celerity and modest pricing, and by Phil's summary of next steps and prospective sources. He even pointed out the damaged area, explaining what might or might not go wrong later.
