    Well, let me tell you the whole story. I bought a used car and took the car to a Tireplus branch in Gainesville for a technical inspection before buying. They charged me $ 30 and gave me a report on the condition of the car. The report clearly states that the battery status is good and therefore, I did not replace the battery. About two weeks later, when I was out of town, the car suddenly shut down off while driving 60 mph and the whole car stopped, you know the cars almost don't do anything without battery power. There was nothing I could do. After 2.5 hours trying, I was able to find someone to tow the car to my house, which cost me $ 204. I tow the car to the nearest mechanic the next day, and after checking, they found that the car's battery was almost dead. The battery was for 2016, and contrary to the Tireplus's report, it was completely DEAD. I changed the battery and the car works well. I have tried to call Tireplus Customer service, the first time I called, the operator apologized to me and promised that someone would call to see what was wrong with the report. The manager of the branch where I took the car for inspection called, and without taking responsibility for their incompetency and incorrect information report that they have charged me for, he just offered me a free battery inspection !! on a new battery! After an unsuccessful discussion with the store manager, I called the customer service four more times, 1 week apart, and each time the operator apologized, promised that within two days, someone with a higher management degree would contact me. But now, after about 1.5 months, no one has called. I am tired of calling, but please don't go to this store if you care about the health of yourself and the car. I am sure no one even took a look at the car. they are way much incompetent that you might ever imagine. There are lots of other auto care centers with much better services and better prices.

    It took 3x the time promised and was more than 2x the price. $48 for a tire patch?? Absolutely ridiculous. Don't come here.

    Spent over $300 to have the same issue a few months later. Definitely won't be coming back. Save your time and money.

    Cannot repair a tire with an inner tube. If they cannot make it a big ticket item then they do not want your business

We told them again we would be in late that same week for the truck. Jan 16, Friday, we called to pay for the repair by phone, so we could pickup our truck Saturday . We were told they had not even started our repair yet! I scrambled to call around to find a rental car for the weekend. I finally found one available at Budget-it cost $300! We drove there first thing Monday, only to find they had just pulled our truck into the shop then proceeded told us that they had no idea when they would finish the job that it could take a few more days! I was very upset and told him how he cost us money and he did not care. He admitted he lost the keys and waited 5 days before calling us to tell us! He also admitted he failed to get our truck into the shop in over 3 weeks time, knowing we were coming back to no vehicle and he then admitted not having anyone let us know it was still not completed or why. No follow up, no customer service. NO APOLOGIES AT ALL. JUST AN OBSTINTANT and ARROGANT ATTITUDE. ONLY INCOMPETANCE FROM THE START. I would not trust this place, as they have proven to be unreliable and incompetent when you need them most!

    We just had a horrible experience with Advanced Tire Service on Main Street in Gainesville,…read moreFlorida. In May of last year, a little more than 12 months ago, we purchased Goodyear Assurance All Season tires for our car. We paid for the tires, an alignment, and a "lifetime balance and rotation" package. Yesterday we went back to Advanced for an oil change and a tire rotation. After performing this work, Advanced also did several system checks and inspected the tires. "Mark", one of the employees in the office, told me my tire treads for wearing thin on three of the tires and one was in the "just okay" range. He mentioned that I should probably get new tires on my next oil change in 5000 miles. I was appalled. You see, the car has only been driven 12,000 miles in 12 months. The Goodyear warranty on tires is 65,000 miles, given normal wear and tear. When "Mark" looked at the invoice from 12 months ago, he thought that the mechanic, a newer hire, probably made a mistake on the tire tread depth gauge. Another mechanic went out to the car to double check the reading, and confirmed that the tire treads had indeed been worn beyond what one would expect after only 12,000 miles of driving. "Mark" mentioned he would speak with his supervisor/manager (Mike Mullins), and get back to me. He didn't. So my wife and I visited the shop this morning. The mechanics put the car up on the lift, and determined that the alignment from 12 months ago was done improperly. This was their mistake. They mentioned that the excessive tire wear was due to an improper alignment. They performed another alignment while we waited. They assured us that the tire wear henceforth would be closer to normal, although the tires already have significant wear. Not a good feeling when you are driving on the interstate or in town. But here's the best part. While we were getting ready to get in our car and leave, they informed us we owe them for today's tire alignment. Now that's incredibly nervy. Worse, the cost of an alignment this year is 20% higher than last year's cost. $120 versus $100. That's a whopping 20% increase. Of course, we will never go back to Advanced Tire Service. My opinion is that they were trying to "take us for a ride", even though they admitted that the issue was due to their less than stellar workmanship. There are many auto repair places in Gainesville take your vehicles for maintenance, including car dealers. That's where we will take our car in the future. They may charge a little more for their services but at least I think they are more honest and trustworthy.

This review is only neutral, because the attitude of the guys who deal with customers isn't great. The first time that I brought my vehicle in for an oil change, they didn't have the correct oil filter in stock, so that was a completely wasted trip. Part availability could have been confirmed over the phone, without waiting for me to drive out there. After the tire puncture was repaired, no one called to let me know my vehicle was ready. The guy at the desk knew my phone number. I'd given it to him twice, in person. If I had to choose, I'd pick workmanship over customer service, but it would be nice if I didn't have to choose one or the other.

Her regular mechanic was closed but she needed her car fixed. She called this Firestone, told them what was going on with her car, and they told her they would look at it asap. She got it towed to Firestone. She got a call the next day on Sunday and was told that the technician that was working was not experienced enough to do any type of thorough inspection and that they needed to wait until Monday morning when the more experienced mechanic was back at work and that her car would be the first in line for inspection. As Monday morning came and went, she never received a phone call, so she finally called them, just for them to say that they can't do anything and she should just take her car to her regular mechanic. She then had to call another tow service to have her car towed again to her regular mechanic, once the tow truck showed up, This FIRESTONE called my daughter and said that they would not release her keys until she paid for their diagnostic. She told them that nobody did any work and they only informed her of the same information she just told them 2 days prior. In my opinion this is EXTREMELY SHADY BUSINESS, I would advise people to avoid this place.
