Matt and the Titan Builders team did a great job repairing our driveway and putting in new living room stairs for us. Both jobs were done quickly and with care and the results were terrific. The original driveway had a faulty septic system underneath, which had turned it into a mess. The driveway had to be re-graded and totally redone, complete with replacing all the brick-pavers. It looks great now - better than when it was originally put in - and we still get compliments on it from our neighbors. For the stairs project, we asked for a number of modifications during the process. Matt and his team were always flexible and accommodating; the message was consistently for us to be happy with the final product no matter what it took to get there. We were referred to Titan Builders by a friend who had just completed a project with them. We purchased a 100 year old home in an HPOZ neighborhood and needed to do a lot of renovations, all of which had to be approved by the HPOZ board. Matt and his team did an amazing job with the work, but also really helped us through the permit process and ensured that our project was done to code, which is what we wanted. We renovated two bathrooms, broke down multiple walls to open up our kitchen, and put in new wood floors in the kitchen, which were very difficult to match to the wood floors throughout the rest of the house- the Titan team did this seamlessly! We also had to redo our 1960s swimming pool with all new plaster, coping, tiles and piping and pool equipment, which turned out absolutely beautiful. We did new hardscape outside and an entirely new outdoor kitchen with barbecue, hibachi grill, sink and beverage fridge, as well. This team literally can do it all. We planned to renovate an existing garage and turn it into a guest space, but when we opened up the walls we found black mold that was missed during inspection. Again, living in an HPOZ neighborhood, this was a big challenge because we needed to essentially tear down the existing structure and rebuild it from the ground up, but we did not want to lose our grandfathered footprint (built all the way to the property line on two sides.) It was tough process but Matt and his team really came through here, taking extra time in helping us navigate the permitting process and allowing us to keep our square footage! The result was a guest house that was more beautiful than our main house. Our main takeaway from working on this project with Titan is that it truly felt like Matt and his crew cared about us and about the work they were doing. Titan Builders do not care about reputation and quality work. The day I met "TOM" the sales guy, he showed me his company's sample product book to review and to select the color and paver style I wanted. I CLEARLY requested the style I liked and CIRCLED the color "CHARCOAL GRAY" but nooooooo, "TOM" the sales guy thought "Moss gray" would look better and persisted I should select it. Again, I insisted I just wanted the CHARCOAL GRAY. An hour later, just to play it safe, I asked him to bring me a sample of both colors. The next day, TOM the sales guy brings me only the "Moss Gray" sample. I noticed the Moss style paver had a slightly "greenish" color to it. But since I couldn't compare both pavers side by side to make a final decision I insisted he find a sample. Later that night he calls me over the phone and said he couldn't find a sample and would have to order an entire palette which would take over a week to get. He gave me the impression he didnt want to show me the Charcoal gray paver and was pushing the Moss Gray on me. Since I had already seen the charcoal gray in other homes I told him let's just make the deal and repeated to him I wanted the dam CHARCOAL GRAY pavers. He agreed. The day his workers came to my house to begin work I looked at their truck bed full of knocked over pavers and couldn't determine if they fell down off the pallet or careless tossed into the truck bed and therefore unable to see if they all came off one color style pallet. Just to make a long story short, when the job was complete I noticed SOME of the pavers were slightly "greenish" just like the sample he had previously shown me and what seemed to have been mixed with charcoal gray pavers I wanted. Also, and probably worse of all, huge BROWN SPOTS were visible. I asked the workers what color it is and they both insisted the greenish colored pavers and brown spots were just dirt stains. The over all job looks decent but you can clearly see the Moss type paver have been mixed into the Charcoal gray and the brown spots is difficult to remove. They also did not clean after themselves and left construction sand and broken concrete bits from the old walkway spread flat all over and around the work area with the intent to hide it. I was not 100% satisfied and complained. They gave me a measly $250 discount and then disapeared. Now in retrospect it's clear they gave me all their scrap leftovers from other previous jobs. read more

I got in touch with Titan Builders after my husband drove his car into the garage one night and completely destroyed the frame of our garage. When Tony from Titan Builders came out, he mentioned that we can save money by just replacing the garage door and fixing up a part of the frame. His honesty about saving us money, instead of being pushy and trying to get more money out of us, was something that we didn't expect. He immediately got our trust and we ended up not only fixing up the garage, but I also felt good about Tony's vibes, I let him in the house so he can take a look at our kitchen which I had been wanting to remodel. I brought in 2 other contracts and Tony wasn't the cheapest. To be fair, his pricing was in the middle of all 3 contractors I brought over. But sometimes in life, it's not all about the money. I felt like I got more than what I paid for. Titan Builders communication, design, worth ethics, and cleanliness was what I expected, was what I was promised, and definitely what I got. The job was estimated to take about 2 months to complete. It began early October 2017, and was completed towards the end of December 2017. Titan Builders, all I have to say is your reputation precedes you! Safe to say that getting any outdoor patio construction is no easy task, daunting to say the least. At the insistence of my husband, we finally decided to get working on our custom backyard / outdoor patio renovation. We worked with Ethan - he was our main point of contact through the entire process and the assigned project manager. Ethan went above and beyond to keep us happy, keep our patio on a budget, and the promised turnaround completion time. Extremely patient and very helpful, never had a problem with answering our questions or providing thorough explanations. We contracted with Titan Builders for a pool replaster, outdoor patio deck, pavers throughout, couple retaining walls, alumawood patio cover, full outdoor kitchen, outdoor fireplace and major landscaping. Ethan came prepared with some great examples of similar projects, many of which actually gave us some wonderful ideas and interesting patio and backyard designs. We took a lot of Ethan's suggestions which really helped utilize the space which we hadn't given much thought to prior to our meeting. We also met with the 3D designer within days of signing the contract who was able to bring our vision to life - it was perfection! I just hire them, I am so far disappointed, I can't described how I feel one star is enough will update in a week. Update: one that's all i can give and it's only for continuously answer my questions, although it's only to continue excusing themselves. My project has been on hold until 2days ago. It took them 8 weeks to restart my project, the whole project so far is beyond frustration, its horrible... If you can hire other company do so this on is from bad to worse. Update: it's December 2017, a project that was supposed to be 6 weeks is way off the planned time, this is 9 months later, 9 months!!! Nothing had happened, finally the office got involved and I was able to settle things down but not done. Lots of people told me to open a law suit but I am not going to do that, just don't hire them if you don't have all the cash to pay for what you need to be done. I don't doubt the job will be done right as they do have some good workman to do a nice job. read more

Just finished a major remodel of our new home in Calabasas and I have Tony and Titan Builders to Thank! We all know how difficult home remodeling projects can be that's why I am happy to report we survived with no casualties LOL Tony was our guardian angel and the reason why I am so pleased with my new floors, kitchen countertops, new cabinetry & island, bar, new shower, tub install & gorgeous paint throughout! Titan was the second to lowest bid we received, having brought this up to Tony he was able to share with us why their pricing structure sits where it does and we were okay with it because we were set on working with Tony. Typical sham company. Scheduled an appointment for them to come out and give a quote on a small bathroom remodel. Once they found out that my wife had already left for the day, they tried to pressure me into rescheduling when she was there. I told them that they either deal with me or we simply wont be using them. She said that was okay reluctantly but then 10 minutes before the appointment time (after already taking the morning off of work to wait for them) they call to say their person coming out for the quote had to meet with the building inspector and again tried to reschedule the appointment. I told them I'm not going to waste anymore time with them and that I had other contractors coming and didn't have time to reschedule. Any company that tries to pressure into having your spouse there for a quote is simply going to try a high pressure sales technique to get you to sign on the spot without doing your due diligence with other contractors. We went through this before during our re-roofing and unfortunately came across too many of these companies trying to do this. We learned if they try and only come out if you are both there, you are going to get this high pressure sales. This company, as you can see by the other reviews, does this exact same thing, so I would recommend staying far away from them or any other company that tries to do this. read more

We hired Titan to install pavers in the front and backyard. We were quoted a 1 month project. We are now entering our fourth month, and not only are they not finished, but they said they are not coming back. We have discovered they broke sprinklers then paved over the top of them. They recklessly broke the sheer descent water feature for my pool, and, though they promised to replace it, they have done nothing. They left the debris from the job all over the backyard, so bad we had to replace the grass, broken stucco on the house from their demolition and oil stains from their work trucks on the driveway where they just put pavers. In my opinion, the whole Titan group of contractors are unprofessional, dishonest and unreliable. Only after we filed a complaint with the Contractors State License board did one of the owners call to see "if we could end this amicably". 12/21/16 Update. Although it took some time, Titan did return and resolve the issues to our satisfaction. read more

Stay away from this company! If I could give negative stars I would. We signed the contract back in January for THREE walls to turn a carport into a storage addition. We're getting close to Christmas and still not close to being completed. Eli showed up at our place to give us an estimate and did not leave until he made sure we signed the contract, my bad for letting him swindle us. Since then we have not seen or heard from Eli, he never returned calls. The only way you get them to work on your place is if you stay on top of their asses and seriously nobody has time for that. Sam came out to tell us he was heading the job, although he was nice, we never saw him again. The only time they're punctual is when they're collecting payments. After payment collection they send 1 guy to do work for 1 day and it takes another 1-2 weeks for another guy to come out and do work for a day. They also don't clean up after themselves and got stucco all over our windows and personal items. Super messy and unprofessional. I feel like these other "great" reviews are fake. Saw the magazine advertisement that said, THE BACKYARD PROS and after contracting with Titan Builders for my new pool construction and backyard enclosed patio, now I know why! Titan certainly lives up to their good reputation. We spoke with a few backyard pool contractors and ended up going with Titan mainly because of how well our meeting with Matt went. He's really passionate about delivering flawless quality pool and patio design ideas. Matt was nothing short of a GEM throughout our entire project ! Here is more or less the criteria as to why we are such highly satisfied customers and 100% happy with the execution of our backyard renovation and new pool construction: 1) Design - Matt set us up an appointment with the in-house 3D designer and from there our project took off and fast. It's really nice to work with a patio design company that doesn't sub-contract out any of the work. They also have an entire office staff dedicated to making sure things are running smoothly. Constantly following up and checking in to see that all plans are coming into fruition. 2) Budget - we received about 4 or 5 bids. Titan was mid-tier compared to the pricing we were quoted from the other contractors. It was thorough and we really felt like we could trust Matt. He has impeccable taste and stayed within our budget, never tried to nickel and dime me, to the contrary, all of his suggestions one way or another actually saved us money! 3) Communication - Matt is by far the best pool and patio contractor made us feel like we were his only client when in fact that simply wasn't the case. Made himself available despite the day or time, always felt like he was easily reachable and extremely persistent - not any bit of procrastination. 4) Timeliness - Titan's crew is amazing, always showed up to the house 7am sharp everyday. Very professional, courteous, respectful and most importantly did a great job of keeping things clean as much as possible. Job was completed right on time exactly to the day that was written on our initial contract which is a first in any of my outdoor remodeling projects! We did not have a project that went as easily as planned. The small backyard patio project that my husband and I designed was simple enough, so we thought, and we began with high hopes and expectations. Those expectations quickly went south. Our initial meetings were very upbeat and encouraging, with great enthusiasm from Titan about what was possible and how things would be handled. However, on the day work was to begin the sub-contractor "workers" arrived with no supervisor on-site and no plans. We tried over and over to have a set schedule laid out and someone to supervise, but it did not happen except bit-by-bit with a lot of texts and phone calls. The main problem was that the workers assigned to the project weren't a good fit for the job. They struggled to do the work and worked very slowly, sometimes only for an hour or so a couple days a week. We were very upset! To their credit, Titan was always willing to hear our concerns, review the progress to date, and try to amend the situation. They stopped using the incompetent contractors and hired new contractors who were FANTASTIC (we only wish we'd had those workers from the beginning -- but a personal medical issue had prevented it). Titan also went the extra mile to try to make up for things that weren't finished as planned -- bringing in contractors to do extra work as needed to make sure we were satisfied and happy clients. If you go with Titan, be prepared to communicate with them and make sure your project is on track. BUt Titan is capable of high-quality work at a very reasonable price. Now that the project's done . . . we LOVE our backyard and look forward to years and years of time spent enjoying it. read more

Our driveway and back patio were a huge, ugly mess. Yuck. I can't even remember what it looked like before. We met with Eli and we instantly loved his passion and energy. He gave us some ideas and drew up a 3D plan and we were sold. We also met with Matt who was also easy to work with. There were some hang ups here and there, but nothing worth complaining about. These guys have a great salesman who came out, made promises, and then sent some laborers out who didn't know what they were doing and cut corners everywhere. I should have sued them for incompetence. The project took way longer than promised and I'm disappointed with the final results. The whole process was a major headache. Started out good and friendly, but overall I would have to say they are very unorganized. They prefer to text instead of call. The problem with that was that they would text last minute to tell us that they either were or were not going to show up to work the next day. This is after we would re-arrange our entire schedule, take time off of work, etc. Worst of all, the job we had them do was a very small job which should have taken a week, maybe a week and a half at most. Instead, it took over a MONTH! The product came out fine, nothing spectacular but not a poor job either. Just fine, but the headache and time it took was a pain. Just did a paver install in our backyard did a great job . Would highly recommend them .great price and excellent job.

CONSUMER BEWARE! We hired this contractor to completely remodel our bathroom. It took them eight months to complete. Here is a list of SOME of the complaints we had with them. At the initial signing of the contract, they requested more money for the deposit than is allowed by state law which is 10% of the contract or $1,000 whichever is lower. Once we reminded them of the state law, they said the $1,000 would be acceptable. There were three installment payments in the contract. The project manager wanted this money up front. When we advised them again this went against state law, they agreed. The only thing Titan is punctual with is picking up money. There were never any plans drawn up for this remodel and no job schedule even after requesting from Matt, who oversees the project managers. When questioned the contract allows for one year to complete, the project manager advised this is just standard in their contract and would never take them that long to complete. Workers - The majority of the workers did not speak or understand English. There was usually one employee who had a minimal command of the language and never a translator present. Neither was there EVER a job superintendent or project manager on the job site. The workers never knew what they were here to do. Wanted the homeowner to tell them and assume the responsibility. They argued if it wasn't what they thought should be done. The workers weren't qualified to do the job; i.e., electricians, plumbers, carpenters. It required numerous times to have the work completed properly. Had the homeowner not been familiar with construction, Titan would have covered up their mistakes. Some of their work included mistakes which would have jeopardized the structural integrity. ELECTRICAL - 8 times finally bringing in a licensed subcontractor to do the work. PLUMBING - 7 times DEMOLITION - 4 times CARPENTERS - 10 times including repairing the wall in our bedroom which was damaged in numerous places from their work on the bathroom side. On average, this company works 1 to 2 hours a day, 1 to 2 days a week. After receiving an installment payment, they never came back for a week. The only way to get them to work is to stay on top of them with constant messages/phone calls. Both of the project managers displayed no construction knowledge or experience. They could do the estimate for the job and write the contract but that is all. We demanded they replace the first project manager and his replacement was no better in addition to being rude and condescending to women. Calls to Matt were for the most part ignored. If we could give then a "-10" rating, we would do so!! read more

Matt came out for the initial appointment and provided us with pricing on several different cobble paving options and took the time to actually discuss them all. We ended up going with an interlocking paving stone driveway and it has really made all the difference! We were also interested in realistic artificial turf installation which turns out is completely tax deductible and will save us over $3,000 less in yearly water bills - they work with this finance company that offers incentives for laying artificial grass and other energy efficient projects. A year ago I had a contractor working on building my dream backyard and it turned out to be a nightmare when guys all the suddenly stopped showing and did things totally wrong from what originally was spoken. We finally got our new home and we were looking for a company to build our pool and do the whole backyard remodeling. We called Titan Builders since we had them remodeled our older house and again we weren't wrong. For the second time Matt and his crew did an awesome work, From the 3-D design that Joy present to us all the way to the final touches everything looks amazing we actually got even a better price than other that we check with since we are existing customers we got an extra discount that was really nice of them to do.
