Daniel and his Green Team are excellent to work with. We wanted to put a paver pad on the side of our front lawn to put the travel trailer we were buying on. We got an estimate for the pad along with an additional estimate for the walkway from our driveway to the front door and along the front of the house to connect to the pad. They were able to start almost right away. These guys work like a well oiled machine. The whole job took less than 3 days from bulldozing up the lawn to the final sand placement. When we realized we couldn't open the wrought iron gate into the back yard, they immediately fixed it. They'd left a pallet of unused pavers on the lawn next to our driveway to pick up later. When it wasn't picked up by the following week we called. They thought it had been picked up. But as long as it was still there we asked for an estimate to do the driveway. (Everything they did looked so good our asphalt driveway looked awful in comparison). Daniel gave us a good estimate for that work and they came out early on a Saturday and were done by early afternoon. This time everything was picked up neat and tidy. Artificial Turf job, 550SF. Daniel was quick to respond and provided a good feeling going into the project, said it would take 2 maybe 3 days to complete (seemed reasonable), it was priced a bit higher than expected from other inputs I received but I had some complicated cuts due to odd shaped stone work, so I accepted his bid. However on the first day of the job they were expected to arrive at 8am (per Daniel) and they didn't show up until after 9. Second day no one showed up before 9:30, third day no one before 10:50 am, fourth day 6:45am, fifth day, 7am. I raised a few requests during the week to Daniel, his lead Steven and his worker Jesus....after raising the same request to all three at different times, the issues were not addressed until on the last day I highlighted that no one on the crew was aware of my requests, poor/no communication. NO ONE on the working team except Jesus spoke English and he was only on-site about 30-60 minutes each day, Steven showed up for maybe 15-30 minutes but I didn't see him each time, so when I wanted to raise any questions to the crew, no one had any clue to what I was asking....I don't blame the crew for this, they clearly had no oversight or good direction, it was clearly the poor management of the crew, poor communication and inability for me to communicate to the crew to address any customer concerns that lead me to a three star rating...This was a textbook case of being too small of a project for the contractor, it isn't/ shouldn't be the customers fault if you accepted the financial terms, of which were generous for this size project, the customer should expect what the contractor told him...2-3 day job, not 4 1/2 days.....not to mention a few flaws in the end. Overall they did a good job and it looks good, but I was very frustrated with the management/communication during the project. read more

Beware! Our simple job turned into a nightmare of deceit and bad communication. After talking to Ron on the phone he sent his brother Daniel out for an estimate and my husband hired him. This should have been a 3 day job that turned into over a week of stress, no-shows, and sub-par work. Now that we are done, here is what happened: 1st red flag: tried to talk us into pavers a week after we signed up for a concrete patio-we learned on the job Daniel did NOT have expertise in concrete, he forgot colorant and we had to run to Home Depot to get it. 2nd red flag: never provided requested proof of liability insurance and worker's comp. 3rd red flag: No website-despite "decades in the construction business." Now we know why. Crew arrived on a Monday for a cement pad and to plaster a wall. The job was supposed to last 3 days. The first day they announce they "took another job in Oxnard so they would not be back till Friday." We said OK, trying to be flexible. Friday came and we waited ALL day and they did not show till 4:00 pm to haul away the mound of debris they had left in our driveway for 3 days (rendering it unusable). We had to beg for days for them to remove the debris. Daniel claimed it was the subcontractor's responsibility and he claimed it was Daniel's. The next Tuesday morning I hear my pup barking at workers in the yard at 7:30 am: No notice, no text, no phone call, not even a doorbell ring-they just "had a window of time of 3 hours" so they showed up. The frustration and poor communication was compounded when the owner, Daniel did not even show up day 3 & 4 of the job to check on his sub contractors, he texted us to "give the subcontractors the check when they finished." He never checked his subcontractors work-never cared about the quality of the job, never came to see the final product. Daniel lied to my husband and myself repeatedly about costs and kept changing the contracted prices. We finally paid him more than we should have, more than we agreed to just to be done with it. We were very flexible when they changed agreed work days and treated the crew on day one with coffee and donuts and hot pizza the second day. We paid a deposit and the 2 other payments as well. Bottom line: Very unprofessional, horrible communication, deceitful. read more

I originally hired Green Team Construction to build dividing walls between my house and our neighbors on each side. We then decided to get a little wild and did our driveway and walkway to our door and doorstep with gray pavers. I also had new cedar gates installed, and Green Team also rebuilt a sagging planter wall and another small dividing wall. Lastly, I found a mailbox online that I really liked and Green Team used similar color large stones to build a housing for the mailbox. This team did very good job to my back yard pavement. They are very focused when the job is started, promised to complete in a week's time frame. Their work quality is good, overall pavement looks beautiful, fitting the original environment with pool, rose garden, and some trees. We are very happy that they built a nice circle around one of my tree, looks like small job but taking their more time than expected, they did it without extra charge. They are a good team which are easy to communicate. I must be frankly speaking that we indicated some problem in the conjunction area with my pool where the pavement is not very well connected with the pool's edge, where potential hazard may happen. However they sent the crew to fix it. Another problem is we found broken sprinkler pipe causing the area flooding, but as an emergency, we called them, their boss is very responsible to send the crew the second day and fixed it with the warranty.
