I received a phone call from the business that I also needed 2 new calipers which were found to be seizing one in the front and one in the rear. I was told that calipers have a 2yr warranty and pads and rotors had no warranty. I approved and paid the total bill $1,151.89 before picking up my vehicle. I picked up the vehicle, it was muddy, my seat was moved in every different direction, my steering wheel was moved, and my rear view mirror was hanging loose like someone pulled to hard to move it and just left it. I felt like a bear and climbed through my car. When I looked at the brakes wasn't sure about clips hanging out of the calipers, and it had 2 different color calipers installed. I called the store and sent pictures of what I saw. They said it was fine. A few days later Saturday took the car on the highway and was having trouble stopping at 60mph. I called the Lindenhurst, IL corporate location for help as I was closer to them at that time. I sent them pictures of my concern and they called the Kenosha location. While I was driving the Kenosha, WI location called me, I explained my trouble stopping and they told me to come in to them, and I did. It was found that they incorrectly installed the front brakes. I left my car with the owner Tim to correct. My vehicle was done the next business day on Monday no charge. When I went to pick it up again I felt something was wrong so I told them I was taking it to the dealer to give a 2nd opinion. When I got home the left rear brakes smelled bad. At the dealership it was found that the rear brake pads were installed upside down, and brake fluid had to be topped off as it was not at Great American Tire. I paid the dealer to correct. I called Great American Tire, brought back the rear brake pads and rotors they installed, and was refunded $500. The work order stated no warranty on the rear brakes. The caliper wasn't touched and this refund was less than the total I paid for the rear service. I have been calling and emailing the owner for weeks, I only received a call back when I stated that I would be filing complaints. BRAKES INSTALLED INCORRECTLY TWICE. *** LAST TIME CUSTOMER***

Called Robin and he got me in the same day, and got me back up in running the next morning in time for me to take it to work in the evening. Robin is super nice and gave me a way better price than I was expecting. He went through the diagnostic process with me and sent me photos of the repairs as he was doing them, definitely one of the best experiences I've ever had getting my car worked on. For what's basically a one man shop I was very grateful he was able to get me in fast and was so diligent about keeping me informed about everything.

I made the call to request a tow to State Farm and was told "McDevitt's" would arrive in an hour. The tow came about 15 minutes later. Besides being so quick to respond, the driver, Carlos, jumped my car using his cables and big truck battery. My car would not turn over so Carlos quickly got my car on its way to service. When I looked up McDevitt's to share this review I was reminded that McDevitt's also does auto repair. I almost called McDevitt's to ask him take my car there. If I'm not happy with the estimate to repair my vehicle from another local service center I will take it to McDevitt's. It's so important to share the positive about people who do their job with polish, pride and people skills. The professionalism of Carlos just put a shine on McDevitt's and reminded me to support local business as well. There are a lot of good people in the world and they can make all the difference.
