This is a scam.. after the lawsuit against Equitable Acceptance, my student loan "account" was transferred to TitanPrep without my permission. I was dumb and didn't realize I could consolidate my loans on my own for free. Without the lawsuit, I would still be on the hook for $1.5K in service fees I didn't need.. I still lost hundreds of dollars I can't get back. These people are crooks. They prey on people who are too desperate, impatient, or dumb like I was to do some research first before signing your money away. They are seriously the lowest of scum. Don't get discouraged, there is free help to set up the repayment plan that works best for your current income. Don't add an unnecessary monthly payment to the debt you already have. They do consolidate your loans but you have to pay $50 a month in interest on top of the thousand something for their services. It's total bullshit. I just got this in an email "You may have faced challenges with your previous company. Fortunately, your case file 327***** has been transferred to a highly rated company by the Better Business Bureau who can help you reach your desired outcome." I asked what a "recertification" entails and in very poor English this girl went in circles talking about "benefits" but could not specify exactly what they were. I have been a customer since 2015 and I'm very happy with the service Titan Prep provides. They have always been transparent around their service being something I can do myself for free. However I do not want to do applications related to student loan repayment plans, and all of the extra monitoring that needs to be done every time the government changes regulations around repayment, especially during this pandemic. I appreciate having this service to take care of all the leg work, in the same way I appreciate having a laundry to drop my clothes to be washed or a meal prep service so I can follow a keto plan without cooking every single day of the week. My case manager always responds to my calls, texts or emails quickly. And everyone is always very nice when I've called. If you don't want to do all of the leg work around your student loan repayment, you should consider this company to do it for you. read more

What a scam. I talk to Michael today and told him I was tired of paying them for a service that I could do myself for free. Michael went on about programs the DOE. I told him that I would not pay any more money. He then asked me why? Like I had not all ready told him. I continued to explain I was not going to renew and I would not them another cent. Michael kept talking in circles about programs that available at DOE but those programs are free for people to apply themselves. I hung up on him. I then receive a text and email saying I need to submit a cancellation form. I called back twice to get someone to send me the form but they insisted I had to talk to Michael again. I hung both times. I filed a complaint with the BBB. I did my own re-cert IDF and PSLF for free on the student aid website while I was on the phone with Michael. This company is a scam and they try to coerce people into they unnecessary and expensive services. read more

Be very cautious when working with this company. I've received harassing phone calls for months now stating they need additional information an signatures from me in order for my things to process. Not exactly sure what could be missing since they have no trouble charging my account every month. Or when they are making hard inquiries on my credit. They claim to be so helpful, but I have yet to speak with anyone who has been helpful. I strongly advise to stay away. read more

This is not a good place. I first experienced them when I got out of college and needed loan consolidation. I was told I would pay my student loans to them in which I paid $400 to them and found out later it was not taking any money off my loans from school. It is because they were not directly associated with myfedloan as I was told by them they were. I spoke to someone from myfedloan and they confirmed this. I filed a complaint on BBB and they started blowing up my phone demanding payments. I was recently sought after again through different phone numbers, email, text and they even left a voicemail after calling me twice in the same hour. I have received paper mail as well. The voicemail sounded scripted and the person appeared to be from a different country. He stated I was out of compliance with my loans which is not true because they have been on Covid relief through myfedloan since the forebearance was issued by the govt. This is a scam do not talk to these people. I have been lied to, had money taken from me that wasn't given back, and told they did nothing wrong. read more

Recently needed some help resolving an old student loan that had fallen into default. Not because I refused to pay it but more so that I couldn't afford it! Did some searching and located TitanPrep.
