I've been going the entire time I've been a student at UD, almost 2 years now…read more I mostly use the weight room, track, indoor/outdoor basketball courts, and spa but they have much more including racquetball courts, indoor/sand volleyball courts, indoor/outdoor soccer fields, pool, instructional classes, even recreational and competitive intramural sports. You must be a UD student/staff in order to buy a pass or you can be affiliated with student/staff for a slightly more expensive pass. But all around great gym. Does get a bit crowded around certain times but I've never had a problem in the morning.

Being a student, they were no help when I graduated and was moving. In addition, half the gym space is not even used most of the time. The free weights are all cluttered together. Heaven forbid there are more than two people working on the same muscle group as you, because you will all be on top if eachother, while an entire section of the gym is not available to regular users. Unless you have low expectations and are planning on staying at that gym for years, I advise to seek another gym.

I found Club51 through my insurance. The location has it all…read moresans a pool. I've not seen a Whirlpool. There is a squat rack, power rack, deadlift platform and all the free weights + all the machines you could ever want IMO. There are yoga & Fitness classes with an attitude of "just do your best," no pressure to keep up when you can't. The yoga instructors are kind and helpful esp Melissa. If you're looking for free weights for the big compound movements or to just get moving with treadmills etc and weight machines I think you will find Club51 a haven. Staff is knowledgeable & courteous. Paid personal training is available I'm pretty sure but don't take my word, go check them out!
