Do not do business with a business that thrives on customers that need personal loans. Look first to reliable and trustworthy lending banking or credit union institutions; not companies like this. If you feel you have no other options, be sure and read the fine print. The interest rates are exorbitant and how they do not fit within the definition of usury is beyond me. I am stunned that BBB and Chambers of Commerce allow companies with these kind of business practices to do business within their community. It is somewhat akin to loan-sharking . If you wish to pay off the loan, be prepared for one hurdle after another. They need cashier's checks. They will also accept debit cards but there is no privacy shield on the machine as you enter in the number. Remember there are cameras on the premises too. If you do use a debit card, do not expect to receive your title or 'paid in full' statement for three business days. Three! Debit transactions clear banks much faster than that. Forget picking it up on the way to work; they open at 11am. The printouts they give you do not show current balance owing; only the amount paid. In other words, it is not worth the hassle or stress. These people will be extra nice when you are first getting the loan. Then after you have the loan it's another story! If you are ever late on your payment then watch out because these people will harass, lie to you, they will be rude, they will threaten you, they will say horrible things to you. They will call your references and give out your information to them. I ended up having to threaten them that I would get a lawyer and sue them because they were saying that I had to make two payments at once, which is illegal, and was not in their contract. They have caused me so much stress. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!! GO ELSEWHERE LIKE TN TITLE LOANS THEY ARE NOT AS STRICT ABOUT YOU BEING LATE A COUPLE TIMES. TITLEMAX WILL TRY TO TAKE YOUR CAR WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS OF BEING LATE AND ITS POINT LESS TO CALL AND WORK SOMETHING OUT IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE THEY WILL GIVE YOU 3 OPTIONS, HAND OVER YOUR KEYS, PAY NOW, OR HAVE YOUR CAR REPOED.
