A few tips: Be sure to wear lots of layers and thick socks! I wore all-weather Sperry rain boots since I'm not usually in snow, but my right foot got cold pretty quickly. We ended up warming up with lattes from the ski lodge café, which was a nice break. Also, be prepared for a lot of walking, even just to reach the conveyor belt that takes you up the slope. Overall, it was a fun experience, and I'd definitely recommend it! Just come dressed for the weather and ready for a bit of a workout.

In the water "parking lot" there was a dead duck floating , the boat had pretzels strewn about and smashed, and the seats had clearly not been cleaned or wiped down. Between customers there is no sanitation or cleaning happening. There was also a loose screw at the front of the boat that I put back in twice to no avail. The anchor was too short of a line to actually hit the bottom of the bay anywhere we went. It was still a good place to grab a boat. Gas for 3.5 hours cost us about $15 on top of the reservation, which was really reasonable! Overall, a 4-hour rental for less than $250 is a good deal and we were happy to see Sturgeon Bay that way.

They have a couple of kid areas with all the bells and whistles and even have a small lazy river for relaxing on a tube. It is not the largest pool in the area but with so many things to do the place never feels too crowded even on a holiday like July 4th. They have a small "cafe" with standard options and clearly state that no "carry ins" are allowed but we saw a number of people with their own food there and not once did I see anyone get hassled about. Be smart though and don't flaunt it. Prices are great, for all they have. Only $4.00 per adult and $3.00 per kid. This is so worth it and even though we have a couple of good pools in Fond du Lac, we find it well worth the 20-25 minute drive.
