Why Wait Roofing is an awesome roofing company for multiple reasons. A few years ago we contacted…read morethem to give us an estimate for a new roof. We knew we would need to replace the roof back then due to the age (approaching 20 years). We received an estimate but it was mentioned they thought we had pock marks indicating hail damage. Even though we had had a hail adjuster look at the roof a year or two prior, they recommended we contact the insurance company again. And yes - this time when the adjuster looked we had hail damage and qualified for a new roof. Roof replacement took place during one of the heavier outbreaks of COVID-19. Why Wait Roofing was patient with the supply chain issues, our insurance company, and the entire process as we balanced out the roof replacement time schedule to be the least disruptive to the hectic essential worker schedules of multiple family members. Two years later when we needed to change to a new home owner's insurance policy, Why Wait Roofing provided us with copies of the roofing invoices for the new insurance company. Just recently with the wet spring weather, we called and they came to look at our shed (next to the house) to make sure there weren't any shed roofing issues that were possibly the root cause of some puddling in our basement. And did I mention this business is woman-owned? I've definitely referred Why Wait Roofing to my friends and co-workers! it's an awesome roofing company!

The new Trex Transcend composite in Spiced Rum with Westbury railing looks absolutely beautiful and completely elevated the front of my home. Project manager Brad Bowers was exceptional to work with--knowledgeable, patient, always quick to respond, and incredibly accommodating in coordinating the project around my schedule. He made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The entire crew was outstanding and deserves recognition: Jason - Lead Carpenter Luke - Carpenter Garret - Carpenter Josh - Carpenter They were consistently on time, reliable, very friendly, and left the job site spotless at the end of each day. Their craftsmanship is seamless, clean, and truly high quality. I mention Iron River to everyone and recommend them every chance I get. I'm already hoping to work with them again in the future for some indoor remodel projects!

All of the roofing companies were quite busy due to recent storm damage. Some didn't return calls, and we even had a couple no-show on scheduled estimates. Matt K, in contrast, was extremely responsive and reliable. We left a message on a weekend, and he called back that same weekend, and scheduled a time for an estimate within a few days. He came for the estimate at the appointed time, and promptly emailed us a detailed, thorough, and competitive bid. He then answered all of our questions thoroughly and knowledgeably about the proposed work and process. Matt was easy to talk with, explained about roofing in terms that we could readily understand, did not up-sell, and provided honest evaluations and recommendations from his decades of roofing experience. Shortly after that, while we were still evaluating our options, we had a leak concern. In response, Matt was able to juggle schedules to fit our replacement in quickly. His crew (led by Brendan), was efficient and careful, and were able to complete the tear-off and replacement in a day, even though winds reached up to 20 mph some of the time. They also left our property neat and tidy. Someone who saw them work told me that he would without reservation "heavily suggest using them again!!!" (His three exclamation marks, not mine). As a bonus, Matt also has a good eye for color. We went with his color recommendation, and really finds that it looks nice against the colors we have. Responsive, reliable, efficient, honest, and great prices. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend everyone stay away from TCR. TL;DR several roofing installation mistakes made,…read moresevere lack of communication from TCR throughout the entire process, and I was asked to write a review before work even began - red flag. After getting roof replacement quotes from 5 different companies, I decided to go with the second to cheapest option - which was Twin City Roofing. And of course, I got what I paid for. The problems began after I signed the quote and handed over the deposit check. I live next to a day care and young children play outside all of the time. Paul, the project manager that was working with me, suggested they perform all of the work on the 4th of July week since kids likely wouldn't be at the day care then. I arranged with my neighbor to not have kids there that week. A few weeks go by and I didn't hear from Paul or anyone else at TCR. The Friday before the 4th of July week, I reached out to Paul to find out when they would be coming and he said "Next week I believe". Then on Monday when no one arrived, I reached out to Paul again. He responded by saying he was on vacation and that Robert P. in the production office could help. I reached out to Robert and he said "I can tell you it won't be this week." Obviously I was unhappy that the roof wasn't going to be replaced that week but I was more upset with the lack of communication throughout the process. It should not be on the client to have to contact the company multiple times to try to get answers. Nonetheless, when the roofers came to replace the roof on my house, garage and shed, they came unannounced. The concerning issues came from work on the roofs. The shingles on the ridge of my shed transitioned from shingles that are meant to be put on ridges to what look like starter shingles. It is very obvious this is not correct. And on my garage, there is a full 15" of a starter shingle that is literally just hanging from the edge of my roof. How did this get missed?? And the biggest issue is with the flat roofs on my house. I asked all of the appropriate questions to Paul from the outset to make sure that there would be grading on the flat roofs such that all of the water would flow to the spout and drain. Alas, a few days after the work was complete, we got our first rain storm and I saw water pooling along the edges of the flat roof and heavy pooling in one corner. I contacted TCR on July 14th and sent pictures of all of these issues. I didn't get a response so I sent a second email on 7/20. I finally got a response from Tyler and he asked me when would be a good time the following day for him to check out my issues. I responded with a time in the morning. I then didn't hear back from him and he did not show up the next day. I was later contacted by Robert and he said he was working on a game plan on getting my issues addressed. Five days later (7/26), he sent another email saying he would have a game plan the following day and he would let me know. As you can imagine, I did not hear from him on 7/27. I emailed Robert again on 7/28 with no response. Finally on 8/9, Tyler came out to my house to take pictures of my concerns. He agreed that all of them need to be addressed. He said he would let me know soon what the next steps would be. I have not heard from him since. I emailed Robert on 8/16 telling him Tyler came out to my house and that I was looking for more information when the fixes can occur. I have not heard from TCR since - at all. I should have known from the get go something was off because after I gave Paul the deposit check, he asked me to write a good review of his efforts to boost the company. I was certainly not going to write a review for services that had not yet begun. If you do go with TCR, make sure to pay as little as possible up front so they have to come back and fix issues before they get their full payment.

The crews showed up without warning three times, which is dangerous and disruptive for my tenants. They attached my gutters to rotten wood that was supposed to be replaced and left the gutter guards with space so debris can get in. I have never felt so helpless and trapped in a contract with a company that does not communicate about what is to come, what has happened, and what will be. I am not certain or confident that the work has been finished and finished well. They really broke my trust. The stress, anger, and fear that I have felt for the past six months cold never be worth the price.
