I am extremely disappointed by my experience at this Walmart…read more I purchased Mexican Velveeta cheese on Sunday 2/15. When I went to cook dinner on 2/17, I checked the date and discovered it was expired by nine months (April 2025, and it's now February 2026). I returned to the store after an 8-hour workday and going out of my way, only to be met with indifference at customer service--no apology, just an attempt to refund $7. When I checked the shelf for a replacement, every single box was expired, most dating back to April 2024. I removed the products myself and brought them to customer service. I waited 30-40 minutes for management. The grocery team lead, Joseph, initially walked away stating he was still on lunch. When he finally addressed the issue, he admitted quality control wasn't being done. He then disappeared again while I waited. The general manager, Anthony, eventually came over, reviewed the expiration dates, and simply said "okay." No apology. No concern. No accountability. I was told the only resolution was a $7 refund--after all that time and inconvenience. I have professional HR and retail experience, and this reflects serious leadership and quality-control failures. This is a long-standing, high-traffic store, and selling severely expired food is unacceptable. This location does not need a scripted apology--it needs immediate corrective action. Corporate should take this seriously before it becomes a larger issue.

I should've known. This Marshalls in on Roosevelt Blvd, in a renovated strip mall, in a hit or miss…read moresection of the boulevard. It looks SO nice on the outside, so I decided to give it a look, despite what I knew to be true about the area. Wrong. Ugh. I actually get upset when my negative preconceptions are proven to be absolutely true. Upon parking, I walk up to the entrance and have to navigate around 2 men having an aggressive conversation at an above normal decibel level. I walk in, and not 2 seconds later, some young, scraggly dude walks past me and belches so loudly the employee unloading boxes gasps in disgust. I'm 10 seconds into my experience, and already I'm ready to turn around. The next knock is that the inside is CRAZY crowded. Merchandise is just on top of other merchandise. Again, the outside of this store is completely redone, and it looks like it belongs in Marlton or some other uppity New Jersey suburb, but inside, it is super cramped. The last straw was listening to the employees argue and yell at each other about when they were getting off, and what they WEREN'T going to do, etc, etc. I looked at the like 4 small racks of mens clothes and decided it wasn't worth it. I headed back to Jersey to do my shopping. I love Marshalls, but I don't see a reason to come back to this one any time soon. It's a bit out of the way, and about 100 times less impressive than the one in my own town.

However almost every single time I'm there it is woefully understaffed. I understand it being busy, especially as more people are getting vaccinated and things start to return to normal. Busy is not what I'm describing. I just counted as I stood there and tried to decide whether I was going to wait in line or just get in my car and drive somewhere else, and there were 36 shopping carts ahead of mine in line already. Not 36 people, 36 shopping carts. There were easily 75+ people, mostly families with small children. And only two people working registers. There were also two employees living their best lives talking and laughing a few feet away at the front door but not helping at all. The one girl at the register looked like she was about to cry as she was getting yelled at by two women and a few customers behind them, as if it were her fault. I was really excited about the stuff in my cart but I had more errands to run tonight and I couldn't wait that long although I have done so before. I counted and I left behind a cart with about $200 worth of stuff in it tonight. About 2 weeks ago I left behind easily $300. I have been to this Burlington at different times in the and days of the week and it seems that this is just how this store is run, which is a shame.
