Though I suppose the science museum is alright, for a one-time visit. Overall, it's an extremely depressing shopping experience, as the crowds are thin and many storefronts are closed. The only reason we come here when in Carbondale is to allow our son to play on the 50-cent rides during the winter months, when there's nothing better to do and he can't play outside.
