The routes planned by Cornish Cycle Tours were spectacularly beautiful with scenery changing every 1/2 day so we were never bored. The proprietor, Lanyon, was super accommodating to our desires for a slightly shorter trip than the standard web offerings. The bikes for hire were of good quality for going up the hills and dales of Cornwall. Plenty of places to stop and tour or just grab some fuel to push onward. Luggage always successfully transferred. Having been on Backroads and Butterfield and Robinson trips before, the Cornish routes were the equal if not superior at far less the price (that said, the hotels are adequate-to-good). This was a long…read moreanticipated family trip for my two children (ages 22 and 19), my husband and myself, and our first time to Cornwall. The countryside is beautiful, though a bit hillier than expected. Lanyon outfitted us with hybrid bicycles adjusted to our sizes, helmets and paniers with tools. He also gave us written directions and map. Even though Cornish Cycle Tours is a small outfit, Lanyon took good care of us. He worked with us to adjust our tour after we discovered how difficult the terrain is. We're fairly fit, and it took us 6-7 hours to cycle 25 miles. We were expecting that it would take us more like 3-4 hours. Once we explained our desire to do more on our vacation than just ride our bicycles, Lanyon was very accommodating. He picked us up with the luggage in the morning, and dropped us midway to ride. We also chose to hike some days rather than ride. You should be familiar with the area and/or be a good map reader. We were constantly referring to the directions and map. It would have been helpful if mileage and topography was included. At our request, Lanyon purchased tickets to the Minack Theater in Porthcurno. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing "Canterbury Tales" and would rank it one of the best experiences from our trip. Cornish Cycle Tour's prices are reasonable, service is great. You can customize your tour to make it what you want.

I think trenance stables is a brilliant stables that cares for their horses alot they are really…read morefriendly and they help you if you need help. Trenance is my regular stables where I have lessons every week and I love it, I also love helping out with the horses as I love to be around them and learn new things. I was a very nervous person when I came to this stables and they have helped me to progress and gain some more confidence. This was because the staff are really friendly and understanding. Also the horses are amazing, beautiful and lovely to ride. They work really hard at what they do and they are very good at it. Personally this is my favourite stables of all time and I have been riding there for quite a while now!!!

They didn't even say goodbye or ask how it went. Way more expensive than other local stabels and the worst customer service i've ever seen! A couple of the girls were nice but it didnt make up for being treated like i was invisable. Would definatly not recommend, especielly to a beginner who needs extra encouragment and patience. My horse was lovely however 3 of the 4 horses that went out had diarreah...........not a good sign of health.

When we came out of the pool we had a roast Sunday dinner in the pool restaurant / cafe, the staff were very cheerful, pleasant and helpful. The pool facilities are really good with changing cubicles next to the pool and security lockers for your belongings whilst you are in the pool. Plenty of parking room along side. I have not been in the gym, although I intend to do so, all in all a very pleasant experience. The water in the pool is excellent warm an very soft.

The changing rooms are on the poolside and therefore it is still warm after you get out and get changed. There are also a couple of family changing rooms if you have small children with you. There is also a small jacuzzi type pool for adults only but I have never seen anyone in it. There are a range of classess for adults and children available and a gymnasium. Childrens swimming lessons take over the pool one evening a week but it is one of the nicest pools Ive been to and definately very child friendly. There is also a small cafe but this is very basic.

Great indoor indoor skate park for BMX, skateboards and scooters. It's large, good value for money…read moreand easy to get to. The staff are very friendly and easygoing, and my kids happily spend all there (at the moment for around £8 for a day). Even better, they can be left there all day if the right age. There's a small area for parents to wait, but this is very kid friendly and perfect for any children into skating, scooting or BMX. Just remember to check opening times before going.

St. Agnes Head is a fantastic place to walk. We were on the way back to Porthtowan and stopped here…read morefor 2 hours or so for some walks. You can park your car right here and then head to the fascinating Wheal Coates (or further). It's a pretty easy walk. Quite flat. Our English Bulldog managed fine. Even though fully exposed to the sun, the trail doesn't feel too hot, there's always a breeze - even on hot days. The views are amazing. You'll find yourself stopping multiple times, just to take in the breathtaking views. Some benches on the way offer some rest. There are walkers, but a lot less than expected. We arrived at around 4pm and there were only a handful visitors. A really great walk, one of the finest in the area for sure. We love walks, especially coastal walks. If you're in the area, don't miss out on this one.

I recently had a great trip out with this company looking for basking sharks. Although they can't…read moreguarantee you seeing a shark, they will but a lot of effort into finding one. You can borrow snorkling gear from them and children can watch from the boat. It is £50 to go out for 4 hours, which seems like a lot, but it is worth it if you get to swim with the 2nd biggest fish in the world!
