Their assistants Debbie and Nicholas are also great and will constantly push you and give sound advice. There is a friendly family atmosphere for the most part, but these guys know when to get serious, command respect from all students, and push the physical limits of the class. Like Kristen B. noted, the first class is free for any martial art you want to try out, and you can try them all. For newbies, there's a pretty mixed crowd in the beginner and intermediate Muay Thai classes. I'd say about 35-40% of the class is female, and the age spread is very wide from age 10 to people in their 40s. Many of the advanced and intermediate level students go to the beginner classes to brush up on their basics, and it gives the new students some experienced partners to help them progress. Most of all, EVERYONE is just really chill. If there's anything that might need improvement, the gym itself could use a water fountain and an interior refresh here and there. At least they sell cold beverages and bottled water for relatively cheap. Other than that, it's a pretty good size gym with a full-size ring, weight-training area, a big class mat area, and a heavybag area. You can also order your equipment through them. Test yourself and feed that inner beast. It's great fun and being with good people makes it even more worthwhile!

Tori is awesome...she is a great motivator and really knows how to cater a great circuit trained workout. First of all, there are no contracts to sign a 6 or 12 month agreement nor do you have to pre-pay 6 months in advance. Last July/August I was looking for a "boot camp" style work out to get back into shape. There was another fitness place, that wanted a 12 month "contract" where you pre-paid for 6 months at a time for $250-400 per month....for a very similar workout schedule/set up as what Tori has at Finetix Fitness 5.0. I found this place on Facebook and I texted the number and got a reply back in half an hour or so. Tori was professional and avoided any negative statements about other fitness places around...she spoke to me directly and up front and stated what she can provide. I signed up for the boot camp option and here I am, roughly 6 months later, I purchase a 12 sessions of one-on-one training along with the boot camp, and circuit training(we did, upper body, lower body, abs, cardio, boxing, etc) types of workouts...I spent roughly $60/month for 6 months plus roughly $200 worth of personal training, and I am extremely happy with the results...a lot less than spending $400/month for a year...I didn't break the bank to get the results...I suggest, eat healthy and just show up and be ready to workout for 45

I say most of it because my diet has not been perfect. All of us hope to achieve certain goals but the reality is that only we can achieve or goals and maintain them! Joe has always been a great motivator to get my diet back on track and is always willing to suggest better ways of eating to help me with a "complete" lifestyle. Working out is only a small part of it and a trainer can only motivate you for a healthy and balanced diet. It's up to me and when I fail I only have myself to blame. After all these years, thank you Joe for being a great motivator!

Think of a cross fit gym set up without all the scary cross fit people intimidating you. This gym is only used for personal training so there is never more than a few people there during your session. Joe is genuinely committed to you and wants you to succeed. He's really good at what he does, will call you out when needed -- ie. you ate like crap, you cancelled so you could watch the Bachelor, etc etc. He really knows nutrition and he changes up the workouts every time. He doesn't just willy nilly push you, he has you wear a heart monitor so he knows how far to push you and to make sure what he's doing is effective. I really have no complaints and working with Joe has been wonderful. I have gotten so much stronger in just a couple months. The education about nutrition has been key in helping me work towards my weight loss goals --- if only he could transfer self discipline to me too! If you're trying to decide whether to get a gym membership or try a personal training session with Joe, just do the personal training with Joe. You won't regret it and you won't get your a$$ to the McGym anyhow and you know it. That's why you're researching personal trainers. Buy his Groupon. Get hooked. Get fit. Just do it.
