Everyone I know swears the chiropractor makes the biggest difference during labor and being in that imminent baby window I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get in anywhere. I called an hour and a half before close and Dr. Chris said "can you come in right now??" That said, I'm writing this in the car right now on the way home because it was too good of an experience not to sing their praises. I feel so much less tension and tightness in all of the places that I had previously and feel like baby is more comfortable as well since she's moving around a good bit more. So I wanted some reassurance and to reach out for help from a professional. I should've done more research and KEPT LOOKING. On her first visit to my house for 45 minutes I was concerned about my breast pump not working, sleeping arrangements, and how to properly swaddle. Well. None of my questions were answered. She had never even seen my kind of breast pump before. (It's a Medela, most common kind). She took pictures of it so she could ask another fellow lactation consultant how to work it. I showed her my sleeping arrangements, and all that was said was 'looks good'. Uhm. Ok. And oops. No time for swaddling techniques because she was coughing all over my house around my newborns! Yuck. (Also want to point out that she said it was allergies and the following day when I politely cancelled her to come back over, she said she ended up with a cold and sinus infection). Yuck. Again. Trust those motherly instincts, mamas!
