This is the first pain clinic I've gone to (2018-spinal fusion at C5-C7) where I've not seen the same doctor twice. I was surprised at this. There is no Doctor patient bond formed and it's hard to trust a Doctor without it. Last time I went to an appointment I walked in visibly angry for a number of reasons, some of which are discussed here. How am I supposed to turn my back on someone I don't trust, let alone allow them to cut me open? And they rarely answer their phone. In the past, I have had to call 6+ times to even get their voice mail. Leaving a message gets you a call back in 1-2 days.

Called them for assistance with my elderly parents. Unfortunately weren't able to help out due to Medicaid not funding their services due to being a non-medical company. However before I hung up, one of their representatives referred me to different places to get me going in the right direction and told me to call back if none of them worked. I recommend this place to anyone who may need caregiving for a loved one; even if they aren't the right fit for you, they'll still help you find it. God bless. read more

We needed a caregiver to assist a family member and family caregivers following our loved ones return home after hospitalization and diagnosis with two forms of aggressive cancer and an aggressive blood infection! TLC Caregivers was quick to respond and late on a Saturday night! Caregivers were amazing, professional, thoughtful, and incredible! I don't know what we would have done without TLC Caregivers' help! My experience using TLC's sitters was great. After going 6 days with less than 4 hours sleep each day, I handed over night care for my dad, who has dementia, to TLC. They did an excellent job of caring for him and I was able to rest up enough to be able to handle the day to day challenges involved with caring for a loved one with dementia. Would definitely use them again if necessary. read more

Additionally while I'd approved a small dose of melatonin and specified up to 3 mg dose max they instead put her on a 10mg dose without my approval. They also sent her home with a double dose strength statin without consulting her heart doctor. The office was mildly helpful after her personal belongings came up missing. After prodding they were able to produce one of the items lost and monetarily take care of the rest. To conclude, we appreciated the effort put in during PT, and were thankful for the office working with us on her missing items but were disappointed with the rest.

I have bulbar onset ALS. I was initially seen in February 2014 because I was experiencing slurred…read morespeech. After having an MRI of my brain and some bloodwork, my followup appointment with the PA resulted in no diagnosis and no further tests were ordered. Instead I was referred to speech therapy and told to come back in six months. I wasn't satisfied with my treatment so I contacted the University of Alabama Birmingham - who saw me in March 2024. The Dr. suspected ALS and ordered extensive testing including a needle test (which is performed on suspected ALS patients). As a preventative measure, I was prescribed RiluzoIe. After further evaluation and consultation, I was officially diagnosed with bulbar onset ALS in June 2024. If I had followed Emerald Coast Neurology's recommendation, I would have lost a half year of critical treatment. And with ALS, EVERY MINUTE COUNTS.
