    Wausau, WI franchise…read more I would NOT recommend this organization for anyone who loves their family members! This company left my 92 year old friend in filth. Unbathed, unkept, her living space with a garbage filled with urine soaked diapers that permeated the air with the toxic smell of ammonia. The weekly cost was quite high. My friend's son and I reported this to Deanna at Interim of Wausau and she said she would have someone over the next day to clean and care for my elderly friend. When this did not happen we stopped in to speak personally with Deanna who lied and said she never said that. We had her on a voice recording and she did an about face, making up other lies to cover her workers poor performance. She promised better performance in the future and the HR director said he would replace the ineffective worker with someone new. Noticing similar circumstances from the new employee, I sat outside my friend's room in the nursing facility at the scheduled time of the next visit by Interim. The young woman from Interim arrived 15 minutes late, and did not notice me. She walked into my friend's room and asked her if she wanted assistance with a shower. I heard my friend say, "That would be nice". The employee proceeded to tell my friend she would wait and she instead sat silently in the chair next to my friend, biting her fingernails and watching the news waiting for a time when my 92 year old friend would become too tired to be bathed. When I questioned the young woman, much like her boss, she was filled with lies! She said my friend refused a shower, said she did not do her laundry because she could not find the washer and dryer which was conveniently located in the room adjacent to my freind's. When I called her out on this lie, she said she was afraid the laundry would be stolen! She did not vacuum because she "could not find the vacuum". At no point did she make any effort to step out and find one! And we were told that taking out the trash was not considered a "light housekeeping duty". When we confronted her boss, Deanna, she said the concern would be that there would be needles in the trash. Another blatant lie in that my friend does not use needles and needles would be in a "sharps container" and not the trash. My friend's son and her healthcare power of attorney attempted to cancel this service. Interim refused! My friend who has limited funds, was being charged for services that Interim was not providing and that could be provided by the facility in which she was staying. After many attempts to have the service cancelled I called interim to verify that it was finally cancelled. They confirmed that it indeed was cancelled. Yet weeks later when I was visiting, another interim employee arrived at the facility, to "care" for my friend. Her son intervened and we now hope the matter is closed. My 92 year old friend was taken advantage of by this company. She was not cared for with the showers and the housekeeping that was promised. One of the employees was even having my friend write her checks for "supplies" without following any protocol or providing receipts. Some of these checks were in the hundreds of dollars! If you love your elderly family members, do not use this untruthful, price gouging, rip off of a company!!!! It is my humble opinion that the actions of this company rise to the level of elder abuse!

I loved the people I took care of, I liked my job, and I got along with the staff. I am naturally shy (especially around authority figures) and kept to myself. I let my work speak for me. I don't do small talk or seat around the water cooler for gossip. Nonetheless, I was nothing but respectful and courteous to my co-workers. There wasn't one I didn't like or that I believed didn't like me. However, I believe my demeanor came across as "stuck up, or distain" to the daughter (one of the owners) of the site. Thinking I was leaving on good terms, I was responsible and put my two week notice in with Interim. After my employment fell through I decided to work for Interim once more at the same site location if it was still available. I was in utter shocked when I was told that I was no longer wanted at that site, I didn't get along with co-workers, and I was insubordinate. The woman "J" at interim said she'd hire me on else where but that I was no longer welcomed there. Like I said, shocked then hurt. I decided to move on. Within 3 years, I had moved to California and worked for another Interim location only to move back to Wausau WI. I decided to give Interim another go (since I was familiar with the company and still thought I was on good terms, after all it was just the one site that didn't want me). When I was finally able to speak to the interviewer "J" she said she couldn't hire me because of prior insubordination. Knowing she was referring about the one site, I thought at least I could work at other locations (After all, I did consider myself a good worker...I would think they would too). She stated because of how I talked to her before she couldn't do that. Apparently, my behavior was inappropriate to her and I was insubordinate to her as well. I DO NOT recall this EVER happening. As a sensible person in fact, knowing that I would potentially use this employer as a future reference, why would I? I asked her to tell me exactly what was said, so that in the future I could correct the situation. She couldn't recall but said it was in the records. On both incidents I asked her, "What did I do? Please tell me?" I got nothing but the round around. Additionally, "J" didn't remember saying she would let me work at other locations either. This employer does not care or respect their employees. If you find yourself on the wrong side them (no matter how good of a worker you are for them) they treat you like dirt. This is pure slander and defamation of my character. This really hurt me. I cried profusely because of how I was treated. But I am sure "J" stands by her word. If they haven't had a complaint file against them at BBB from former employees, it's only a matter of time. JUST because a person is shy does NOT mean they are insubordinate. Just because of what a manager at my site location said because she didn't like me does not give the interviewer 'J' the right to make up negative things about me either. I do think discrimination was at play here also. I posted this review before and it got deleted. This is a website called 'Yelp' afterall. Wonder what that says about Interim. Additionally, watch your paychecks closely....the hours and how they calculate taxes were always a little funny to me.
