When you call, you'll likely get their voicemail. It's alright though, they all check the voicemail or email in between chores and respond right then. Us, and our dogs are aaaaalways met with enthusiasm. When we were away for a week, they wrote us emails to just let's us know how they were doing. For myself, at least, I appreciated this, a lot, as we were first time Doggie Day Care peeps. When they go overnight or just for the day, our dogs come home wiped out, lol. Which is the main reason we send them there. We decided to try the grooming services they offer this last time. Holy cow, you guys! We've tried 3 other places and no one could do it! And she did it! Like a champ! We are so very impressed with this buisiness as a whole and will continue to do business with them, as well as share our experience. Thank you TLC Kennels!

She sent me several pictures of them playing outside which was great to see! We will use Sharon from now on. So much better and comforting to know our dogs are not at a kennel and have all the comforts of home. We know our two dogs are taken care of while away. We love that the staff sends us photo updates and that they get to spend a lot of time outside playing. On their most recent stay, we also booked some newly offered spa services. The boys got baths and nail trims. They smell so fresh and have the cutest little bandanas on, and remarkably, their nail trims were successful. I don't know how the staff did it, but Amos has never successfully had his nails trimmed anywhere else. He is a shy dog and he gets grumpy about his nails, so I think it speaks volumes to the level of trust the staff built with him in just a week. Pretty amazing! If you need to board a pet, Lakeside Pet Retreat is a must.

But this was a little severe cut and they didnt even tell us when they knew about it! My dog was bleeding all over the car and we had to run back and ask for paper towel, and apparently my boyfriend told me the girl was mumbling saying "we forgot to tell you she has a cut" like seriously?? Shouldnt you be telling us before you hand her over ? My dog was crying so much in the car due to the pain. I will never come back to this establishment, i was very skeptical at first, but my boyfriend wanted to go bc VCA biglake was handing out their cards so he just assumed there was a good reason they were handing them out. This place is at a house and it just didnt look right to me, they had big dogs in the fence running around and small dogs looking out the window, just dogs everywhere there was also an rv on the side of the house. And they seemed so poorly ran..fair warning to dog owners check your dogs before you leave..because they will just send your dog without disclosing this kind of information. I really hope my dog does not have an infection from this, trying my best to make her feel comfortable. If i need to take my dog to the vet, i am definitely going to be charging the bill to them!! Another thing is that they told us $80 for everything and then told us its $95 when we were coming to pick her up. My boyfriend told them he heard $80, so the woman on the phone said "if thats what you heard, then thats what you heard." In a very rude and condescending tone. Warning for travelers with flights. Extremely disappointed. We dropped our young dogs off today…read morejust before 10am and within 20 minutes we were called and told to come pickup our dogs. When we dropped them off they placed them in the yard. we brought their stuff in and they showed us their space. That was it and then we left. It was quite rushed. When they called they said your dogs are scared and won't let us approach them so you need to come pick them up. I asked if we could sit with them till they become comfortable and were told no but we could talk about it when we get there. They already had all of our stuff packed up and there was no real discussion. They said they had a schedule they needed to keep and this wasn't the place for our dogs. There was no working with us or attempt to try to make the dogs comfortable. In the end we had no choice but to cancel the vacation because boarding facilities are all full because of the Holiday. What a crappy thing to do to people to not even attempt to work with you especially since they offer 2 different drop off times of morning and evening.

I only take my dog to off leash parks and he gets along fine with other dogs. When I picked him up, they forgot to give me my dogs' bed and I forgot to ask for it back. The next weekend I drove 100 miles, round trip, to pick up his bed. The bed was covered in feces. I wondered if they ever even picked up his feces. When I got home I looked at my dogs' belly and he had dried feces stuck to his hair.
