The best! Beautiful and clean facility with cozy private rooms. The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive to Luna's medical needs. She has megaesophagus and requires a Bailey's chair to sit up for her meals. They provided this nervous mama with daily pics and updates. Luna was so happy to play with other dogs again and receive lots-o-love from everyone! It warms my heart how much they love everyone's furbabies. She was tuckered out Highly recommend! read more

This is the best pet boarding facility in Alaska. Our twins have stayed here multiple times and it's well worth the drive from Anchorage. We have total peace of mind while our boys are here. We love that the staff sends us photo updates and that they get to spend a lot of time outside playing. On their most recent stay, we also booked some newly offered spa services. The boys got baths and nail trims. They smell so fresh and have the cutest little bandanas on, and remarkably, their nail trims were successful. I don't know how the staff did it, but Amos has never successfully had his nails trimmed anywhere else. He is a shy dog and he gets grumpy about his nails, so I think it speaks volumes to the level of trust the staff built with him in just a week. Pretty amazing! If you need to board a pet, Lakeside Pet Retreat is a must. read more

I have used this facility multiple times for different dogs ranging in age from 8 months to 15 years. They are great. The staff sends photo updates which is great and the dogs get to socialize with other dogs. read more

Absolute best place to take your pup for daycare or to stay while you're out of town! They care so much about your pets and send you photo updates regularly while you're away. The staff and owners are awesome at what they do and super friendly. The accommodations are also fantastic and they have plenty of space to sleep - they can have their own little beds and TVs, too! Their outdoor setup is much like a playground and they have all the room they need to play and run around. We leave our two larger dogs (Great Pyr/Newfie and Doberman mix) here and they absolutely love it. They can't get out to play fast enough when we drop them off! Not to mention, the price is so reasonable for the top notch care your furry family members receive while they're there. My family and I can not recommend these guys enough! read more

When we dropped them off they placed them in the yard. we brought their stuff in and they showed us their space. That was it and then we left. It was quite rushed. When they called they said your dogs are scared and won't let us approach them so you need to come pick them up. I asked if we could sit with them till they become comfortable and were told no but we could talk about it when we get there. They already had all of our stuff packed up and there was no real discussion. They said they had a schedule they needed to keep and this wasn't the place for our dogs. There was no working with us or attempt to try to make the dogs comfortable. In the end we had no choice but to cancel the vacation because boarding facilities are all full because of the Holiday. What a crappy thing to do to people to not even attempt to work with you especially since they offer 2 different drop off times of morning and evening.

My husband dropped her off and gave him a full tour and showed him where she would stay (in a HUGE room with a couch and all.) Not only was the place super clean, but everyone was so kind! I just discovered they take pictures and post them on their Facebook EVERY DAY. I'm WOWED to say the least. When I went to pick her up they also gave me a tour, and she just looked happy as can be. 10/10 I'm so so happy with them and thank them very much for taking care of my baby!

I found that they didn't communicate with me appropriately or as often as I would have liked. They didn't allow dogs to play or interact with each other especially if they were large dogs, so they were crated the whole time. They allowed my dog to sit in her urine, so when I visited she smelled of urine. In the end, she starved to death. She also took no accountability, the first thing she said was "I hope you're not mad at me, this wasn't my fault" but she was under their care. Animal control was called on her, and because they had 1 video of them feeding her, and because of Zoe's history with anxiety they aren't going to charge her. So, if you have a pet with issues, find another location.

Daisy dog was pregnant and had a miscarriage. Friday her discharge was green/brown. I called Wasilla Vet, where she had been a patient, they couldn't get her in until Tuesday. I called every day to see if they had any cancellations so Daisy dog could be seen. No was all they said with absolutely no concern for Daisy dogs status. Never even asked any questions about how she is doing. Finally Tuesday came and upon an examination the Dr diagnosed Daisy dog with Pyometra. Said she needed surgery immediately or she won't survive. Dr said she only has days to live in the condition she is in. Actually told me "she'll be lucky to make it until Friday". I tried to schedule the surgery, but their calendar was full. Said they can 'squeeze' her on Friday morning. I reminded them that they just told me she will be dead by Friday. "There is nothing we can do until Friday" is what I was told. I begged them to bump another less emergent surgery and they informed me thay cannot do that. Told me if I want it done sooner I'll need to call an ER vet. I called, they charge $5000 for the same $1600 surgery. That's out of my budget and Wasilla Vet was well aware of that. They wished me the best, said they hope Daisy dog makes it until Friday and sent us on our way. I called numerous vets pleading for help! Finally Faith at Bering Sea Animal Clinic in Chugiak heard my cry, understood the severity of the situation and went above and beyond to get Daisy dog the life saving surgery she needed. She got her into the clinic at 6:30 Wednesday morning. As in the very next day. I will be switching my pets to Bering Sea Animal Clinic and I highly recommend you do the same! Don't let your pet be a victim of Wasilla Vets carless greed!

We made the very painful decision to euthanize Pond, my son's dog, due to extremely aggressive bone cancer. After Pond's euthanasia, he had a panic attack and couldn't stop crying over his choice to not get Pond's ashes back. He had initially said that he'd prefer her ashes to be spread in the flower beds at the Palmer Fair Grounds, which would mean a communal cremation. But he panicked when he realized he'd have nothing left of HER, only photos and paw prints, and wanted the opportunity to do something with her ashes himself and in his own time. After talking to him, I immediately called PVC to see if it was too late to make changes. They switched her to a private cremation, made extra paw prints, a nose print, and clippings of her hair for him. They had everything (but her ashes, which we picked up later) ready for pick-up almost immediately so he'd have something to comfort him. Throughout the whole process, they explained every step, gave us space to grieve and didn't rush us. In fact, they told us the room was ours for as long as we needed it, both before she passed and after. It took about two hours and an extra dose of the sedative for her to settle down and fall asleep (she was enjoying being pain-free again and eating whipped cream and treats) before the final medication could be administered, and every minute of witnessing what goes on between a boy and his dog was precious. We needed every bit of it.

The doctors are great, but I have had so many problems with that Dolly Parton wannabe receptionist…read more I called stating that we were going to be late and completely understanding that the doctor probably wouldn't be able to see us, but I asked if I could still come in and get my dogs vaccine.. they assured me that yes we can get the vaccine and that perhaps the doctor would even still see us. We did arrive 12 minutes late and immediately got our animal weighed and into a treatment room.. a tech came in and took history about ften minutes later. 45 minutes later, we had still not seen the doctor and it's now close to an hour past our appointment time. I went out and I said hey tech just quickly give us the vaccine. I really have to leave. The receptionist tried to lecture me on how I was late and I reminded her that I had stated we understood and we're willing to forfeit the doctor appointment and they are the ones that told me they could squeeze it in and still give the vaccine. So we went back to the treatment room. I waited another five minutes still no hand had come in at this point I really had no choice but to walk out because I was already going to be late, returning back to work

Of course I had questions before making my decision and I was in contact with Monica and she answered every question and addressed every concern I had. I decided to get KingFisher's Ayesha and I couldn't be happier. She was a pup from Klondike and Blitz born 9/9/18! Both Mom & Dad were gorgeous!! She is the sweetest dog ever and so insanely smart!! I've had her almost 4 weeks now and she is the perfect addition to our Family!!! When questions come up since I've had her, I texted Monica and she was amazing with her responses and has really made this such an easy process and has totally put my faith in KingFishers!!!! If you are looking for a beautiful, smart, sweet, and well tempered Malamute pup, I would highly suggest you get one from this Family!!
