Ask the Community - TLC Laser Eye Centers

Hi! Just wondering how having Prisms in my eyeglass lenses and just overall vision would be for Lasik surgery?

Hi Mary, You would need to consult with one of our surgeons to answer that question. I would suggest scheduling a free consultation at 888-TLC-2020 or book online at at TLCvision.com. Currently our MA centers are closed but will be re-opening… Read more

Hi Kathleen, Thanks for your interest in TLC, however, we do not offer cataract surgery here, so we recommend reaching out to someone who specializes in cataract surgery with your questions.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I have been to the Framingham office many years ago. Decent experience whi…read morehis why I called again. I have a very common condition which no doctor in Framingham could see me for sonthey sent me to Waltham which is a 45+ min drive. Fine. I got there early and was only one in waiting room. Waiting room filled up and I counted 7 patients taken back to see the doctor I was here for. It's been over an hour. I inquired and was told I was next. 2 more have gone in and I am still sitting here waiting. My condition will resolve itself before I am seen. My mother uses Lexington Eye and after today (if I stay at this point) so will I. I understand waiting to see a doctor but this is far beyond that. If they take me soon it's only because the waiting room is now empty until someone else shows up

She did not listen to my concerns (I think in an attempt to keep her success rate with the procedure she performed intact). She tried to break the blockage in-office with a Xanax and far too little local anesthesia. It was insane. Note: the doctor I visited in Maine confirmed my suspicion on the blockage being real. I'm letting him deal with it from now on. I was going to stick with the new cornea specialist assigned to me for an annual visit. I was scheduled for a 2/19/26 appt with the new cornea specialist, and received a note that the date had to change. It said 2/26 in the communication. Shame on me for missing that someone had inadvertently noted 2027, not 2026. Made the journey from Portland, Maine to Danvers - in the snow, to learn about the mishap. I guess it was "my fault" for not noticing the error, but between the lack of concern from tear duct specialist and this - I am done. I had no idea how low the yelp reviews were for this practice. Always thought I was doing the right thing going to Boston. Done with that.

Though I arrived on time and had filed all my paperwork in advance, I had to wait 3 hours before the doctor saw me. Only 30 minutes of that was spent with a technician doing tests. You're also forced to repeat everything three times -- to the tech, a fellow (this is a teaching practice), and the doctor. When I objected, the doctor said "this is how we do things." In short, as other reviewers have said, if you have at least 1/2 a day to spare, even to get 15 minutes with the doctor, this is the place for you.

With ocular cicatricial pemphigoid, I was in immense pain and having conversations with myself to prepare for both blindness and possibly losing my eyes. This devastating disease would not relent with any of the medicinal remedies, and i was scared. But Doc Foster chatted briefly with me through an IM as i was out of state. He told me to come see him. Dr's. Foster and Ahmed developed an infusion protocol that sent my OCP into remission, possibly permanently. I thank God for insurance and for Dr Foster,. LOVE the man!!! But be prepared, he doesn't suffer fools. He's not in this to win hearts, but to heal people. And he won't care of you judge him poorly. He's the best in class, and he's trained many docs to be the same. Thank you, Doctor Foster.

This truly felt like a factory: 15 to 20 people lined up in reclining chairs in the area where eyedrops are administered and patients are prepared for surgery. Nurses, orderlies did not generally introduce themselves and tell me their position or tell me exactly what they were going to be doing to me. Surgeons and anesthesiologists were generally more consistent with the introductory information. One orderly-I guess that's what he was; he didn't give me his name or tell me anything about what he was doing until I said in alarm at how rough he was "what are you doing?" -Was charged with moving me into the operating room. no introduction, no explanation of what was happening, just rough handling. I can only hope and assume that the surgery was top-notch done by my regular ophthalmologist from Lexington Eye Associates. The paper/evaluation that they give you after all of the procedures to evaluate the service is woefully inadequate; an envelope is not even included so that the patient would have to take initiative to mail this back. Clearly either Lexington eye associates or the Surgisite facility itself does not put patient satisfaction at the center of their operations. I heartily do NOT recommend Surgisite as the place to have your cataract surgery.

Of particular note is the care and skill of the phlebotomist, Allysia. She never fails to painlessly accomplish the initial blood draw. Her confidence and comforting approach relax me and alleviate my anxiety about this process The infusion team of James and Caroline have been excellent and their explanations of what's taking place and their careful administration have made me feel very comfortable with the infusion process. Haticha, Nurse Practitioner, played a special role in helping me obtain the patient assistance program. She actively engaged Mersi management to resolve issues and secure my participation in the program. Haticha also coordinated the scheduling and reporting of my outside lab tests and interfacing with my home infusion nurse. She is committed to providing the best care she can for each of her infusion patients. Her professionalism and caring approach help to create a calm and supportive environment. I sincerely commend everyone from Dr. Chang to the personnel at the front desk for the extraordinary care I receive. With gratitude and thanks to all, Peggy D. Lee, NH .
