That's a long story BUT the point is that Dr. Klaahsen is a great Doctor. She really cares about her people in a way you don't often get from physicians. I used to go to a place in Charlestown and Tufts Medical Center for my eye care but I didn't feel like a unique patient, so I decided to go elsewhere and happy that I found Dr. Le. She was running a bit late when I showed up and acknowledged it, I was surprised to see that she was one person running her entire practice! So I gave her some slack, and with her personality, I couldn't even be upset! When going through my eye exam, she answered questions I had, taught me about eye care, and was the most consultative doctor that I've met which was great! She has to try on a couple of contacts, and made sure that she was extra thorough even if it took an extra couple of minutes. That I could appreciate. I feel like at other places, doctors typically rush through here and there, and are always on the go. I'd recommended seeing her at least once! You'll love her personality and her care!

Dr. Phillips saved my eyesight!!! I've been coming here to buy glasses for years since they carry…read moremany european frames that are small enough to fit me nicely (which most eye doctors do not carry btw), and was going to a more local eye doctor for my exams until recently. Finally I switched to Dr. Phillips fully and got my first eye exam with him this year, and I found out my prescription was -.75 TOO STRONG!!! And that is why I was tired all the time, getting frequent headaches, and having trouble focusing when switching from small to big or big to small screens, and was struggling to drive in the dark or when tired. I am SO MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE and my quality of life has improved IMMENSLY. Dr. Phillips told me he starts from scratch to avoid bias, and I am so so grateful for that. He will take his time to make sure the precription is correct, not just lazily bump you up -.25 and call it a day like my previous eye doctors would. The customer service is also amazing. Everyone is so helpful and warm. And also, I've not experienced the feeling of being "ripped off" as some have claimed. My insurance covered nearly everything just as it should--actually the exam was cheaper than at previous eye doctors. It was my previous eye doctors who I felt wanted to rip me off, as they kept trying to charge me for an expensive preventative exam to "check on" a freckle in my eye, at every visit, which I did not need. Dr. Phillips did not seem interested in upselling me. Yes the frames are mostly designer, and therefore are expensive, but you don't have to choose them. There are other options. However the quality of the designer frames are second to none and they really care about getting it to fit just right and making sure everything is perfect. I do not understand the negative reviews. BEST EYE DOCTOR EVER!!

I felt dismissed, disrespected, and treated differently than I believe other customers would have been. When I respectfully voiced how I was feeling, the manager responded by asking me to leave the store instead of addressing my concerns. That only made the situation more upsetting. Over the years, I have spent an incredible amount of money at this business. Not only have I been a loyal customer, but so have all of my children. It is truly heartbreaking to feel that our loyalty meant so little. I left this place with tears in my eyes. A loyal customer should never leave feeling this way. I booked directly with them online for a new patient eye exam as they were one of the closer places to me that actually takes Davis Vision insurance. The place was pretty easy to find and they have a small parking lot in the back as well which was convenient as it had just snowed and street parking were pretty tough at the time. The office is actually on the second floor when the staff kindly directed me when I was at the first floor office and I had to wait maybe 5-10 minutes after my appointment time before the Dr was ready to see me. Mostly because they would reach out to check your insurance beforehand so that was very helpful to cut down the wait time. The whole exam went very smoothly and Dr. Hussoin was very patient in answering all my questions. I was out with my new prescription in hand in maybe 20-30 minutes. I would highly recommend her for all your optometry needs !

They told me my usual contacts were discontinued and found a new brand to try. The lenses they proposed were outdated and super uncomfortable but when I asked for other options they said there weren't. I know perfectly that there are other options so I requested my prescription and went to find other more competent doctors. But I needed to pay for a new eye exam fully out of pocket because my insurance already paid for their useless service. They just took my money and basically confirmed my old prescription and did absolutely nothing! They basically don't know what they arre doing! The contact lenses were a nightmare! First contacts prescription was completely wrong. Could barely see with them. Went to an appointment to get them corrected but I accidentally forgot the lenses, asked if they could reset my appointment for any time later that day...NO. I had to wait 2.5 weeks to get seen again! At the next appointment, they "corrected" the prescription but it took them one month to have them available. Despite multiple inquiries about my contacts, emails and calls to their lens center, the contacts were sent to a different office, about 35 miles away! I asked if they could either transfer to my doctor's office or mail to me...NO! They insisted on a whole new order. Yet more waiting! They did expedite the order but the prescription is still off. I need to hold small print about a yard from my eyes to able to read it. There was no follow up on their part. Totally frustrated, I am going next week to a different doctor and company to get contact lenses that are supposed to be right for me! To add to the frustration and my negativity was that I was there three times a week asking for my lenses (only because my physical therapy was across the hall) and each and every time they asked my name (you'd think they'd remember after 10x, assure me that they would call me as soon as they would come in; when they eventually came in, nobody called.
