They offer classes unavailable at UNR. Smaller but easier to get to than the one at Dandini. However, the study area is loud as it's more a walkway between other classes and the bathroom. Despite their hours, they will have you leave earlier. I would recommend studying anywhere else. read more

I had no idea that this tmcc center existed and it is such a great asset to our community. It is filled with a bunch of classes that could be so beneficial to many people, including classes on how to use a computer, how to use Microsoft programs, how to sew, and many more. I think this is great to help some of our older citizens in Reno because a lot of the time they don't have someone to help them. It's also a great way to get people out of the house and socialize while learning a new activity. My fiancé and I took a photo class with mark and learned a lot about how to use our digital camera. There were all kinds of people taking the class and it was really cool to see everyone's pictures. The class was 4 weeks long and only $100. Totally worth it and I would love to take another class here. read more

I have taken several classes over the last five years, and most of them have been very good. There are some special Silver College classes for seniors, too. A small di$count is offered to seniors. I had no idea that TMCC offered such a wide range of "How To" classes! A friend and I decided to sign up for their DIY Organic Soaps and Lotions class and it was a blast. The instructor spent time talking about what ingredients are better for your skin and which ones to consider avoiding, and she had about twenty different types of essential oil that we could add to our soaps. There were also samples of dried flowers, oats, and herbs that we were welcome to use. It was a fun and informative couple hours. For a small fee, I made two different soaps and some body butter. I will definitely sign up for other DIY classes! read more

Bad college. Staff doesn't care about students just money. Staff does the bare minimum to keep their jobs.

I have taken Pilates here with a few instructors the last few years. It has been a great experience and they tailor the classes to the make-up and level of the classes participants. I am staying closer to home right now but I will be back! read more

I came here on a Friday to utilize their library so I can study in peace and quickly found out that it was a bad idea. The 2 ladies in charge of the library were talking like no one else is in there. They made no attempt to lower their voice. The students in the hallway made me feel like I was a part of their conversation because I can hear them from the library. I left after less than an hour of being there. It's a terrible place to study. read more

This program is a correspondence course! For $4000.00 it seems like one should get some instruction. But no, the instructor is really an attendance monitor to assure you are present. The instructor and Director of the program are nice but this definitely is not a teaching module. By the end of the course you will figure out the tricks to passing but it has nothing to do with learning from an instructor. I'd choose a different program. read more

Very difficult to get information for classes or anything for that matter! I've called several times repeatedly leaving voicemails to get a hold of someone about the Dental Assistant program. I've even sent several emails. And still NOTHING!!!!! I feel really frustrated & just want to know when and how I can sign up. You'd think TMCC would want more students to attend. read more

I have taken Pilates classes here for years and with quite a few different instructors. They have all been really great and all different from each other too which is a nice variety. I have some neck issues and they have been willing to help me modify exercises to ensure that I can still get a great workout. I definitely notice a difference in my body when I am doing Pilates regularly and you can't beat TMCC's price! read more
