I was able to leave the entire house fully disorganized and a without even going through cabinets and linen closets, they were able to get everything priced, cleaned and staged in 3 days. I went to a TNT estate sale this past weekend. After finding a set of glassware that I wanted to purchase, I asked if they had a box that I could put the glasses in because I couldn't carry them all in my arms. The manager told me that I could use the box under the cash register, which was way too big. When I politely asked if they had a smaller box, his response was "That's the box we have, don't throw a fit over it" then walked away before I could respond. The TNT team clearly doesn't have any interest in their customer service - not only were they not helpful, but they were downright rude. They were organized, prepared in how to present the items, took lots of pics with descriptions of the type of items available and posted this on their website! It was nice to receive daily monetary updates and they achieved the goal of leaving very few items remaining. It was a very positive experience and the percentage split for very fair. I'm an old estate sale hag. I started going to estate sales as a child with my grandmother so I LOVE them and actually was looking for a companies to follow so I know in advance where they were. The reason behind my low review of TNT Estate Sales is for three reasons. #1 The owner was a Prick!! #2 The owner was a Di&/! #3 The owner was off-putting! Whenever I asked him a question (twice) he was short, dismissive and arrogant. Now the guy at checkout was friendly, engaging and wonderful and the lady walking around helping was awesome, but the owner and the guy who was monitoring the "expensive" (what a joke) table that only two people were allowed at a time was also a bit rude. My experience reminded me of that scene in Color Purple where Nellie was in the store shopping when store owner barked "What you want hear gurl!!" That's how I felt like Nellie in the store. I asked the owner about a orice, he barked that he wasn't coming down on the prices because it was only the first day! He didn't even look at me. He barked walking off and we were the only two in that room. He should have just said "No I'm sorry, it's the first day, come back tomorrow or Sat when the prices will be reduced." Naw, I'm good. I spent 6 months pricing my mothers things. Rare tapestries, really nice antiques, a closet full of silver in tip top shape, a closet full of high end crystal, collectible dolls, 5 sets of perfect condition fine china, aubusson rugs and sooooo much more. About $50,000 worth. TNT made a whole $17,000 out of it. If you have regular stuff then no worries but if you have high end things, do not use TNT. I don't know if they hid it in storage to sell for themselves later or what but I am just sick to my stomach over the whole damn thing!!! read more

While this company was initially a ton of help, post-sale completion they will not return calls concerning documentation. They have not provided agreed tax documentation. They sold a vehicle during the estate sale and did not handle the transfer correctly which has led to extreme financial impacts to the estate. The lack of follow up is frustrating and unfortunate. Always limits the amount of people that can go in the house to a ridiculously low number, causing a massive hold up for over an hour after the sale is open. Every time you finally get in, there's so much space to wander around you quickly realize there's no point in holding this many people back. Doesnt matter how cold or hot, you'll be waiting in line even an hour after opening. Every other estate sale company doesn't have this problem, they let everybody in and there's no issue, ever. Don't come here unless you like waiting. Ebay or above ebay prices usually as well. read more

I see I am not the only one who avoids this company because of the owner. His uptight vibe makes for a tense shopping experience, even if it's not directed at you. The other employees are mostly polite, but are both fearful of and apologetic about Thomas' behavior. There's also a lack of business sense in the pricing, which means you see most customers leaving empty-handed because the prices are ridiculous. There is a per piece price even if it's a set of dishes, so instead of market value, you're going to pay many times that when you have to buy each one. You want a dart board? Here's the price...wait, you want the darts which go with it? Those are $3 each! This stingy strategy also means the families having the sale receive less (see other reviews). read more

I've been to several of their estate sales now. Their clients are all people who have some really nice stuff and they sell it at a reasonable price. Buyers will have the most variety of things to buy on the first day, but on the second day can find discounted prices. When they have a third day, the prices can be amazingly discounted. Horrible customer service. Went as one of the first group allowed inside for an estate sale with records. One room was $16 a record and the rest of the house was $8. After spending an hour digging through crates i found 5 that I decided to but. When checking out they tried to charge me double for 2 of the records from the $8 room, even though i never looked in the $16 room and was the first one there. In other words, they are either unorganized or unethical. I let without purchasing any of them after they acted like i was trying to pull a fast one. I will not attend any of their sales in the future. read more

We used Thomas and Tristen for my parent's home. They looked over all the items and gave us an estimate of what they thought the sale would bring. In addition, they promptly answered all the questions we had prior to and during the sale. The setup, pictures and advertising were very good. While they sold a lot (and there was a lot) of small items, we were disappointed in the sales of the furniture. We felt the prices were too high for what the furniture was. Tristen sent a reconciliation form at the each of every day and paid us promptly. The only other thing we were disappointed in was all the linens and clothes we found in the bottom of one closet- piled several feet high. We wondered if this was not offered for sale or tossed in at the end of the day. The overall percentage of sold items was way less than Thomas boasted about he typically sells and was on the low end of their estimate. We appreciate the work they did but we can not say we would use them again. We also know the sale is only as good as what the customer buys but felt like more furniture would have sold at lower prices. read more

This is an extremely competent service. They came to the house with a giant crew of people and set to work. They arranged and moved things and categorized. I couldnt be there, but speaking with some buyers, their experience was positive. Most importantly it was a decent outcome. Word of advice, take everything you want to keep or need our of house. When they finished there was not one cleaning supply left. They sold the brooms! Also nodt throw anything away. People buy all kinds of stuff. My only complaint would be to be paid digitally instead of a check. It cleared just fine, but I was out of town and it had to be mailed out. Also, I have to wonder if i should have put a reserve on a couple of big ticket items. Overall, a decent experience. They did what they promised and did a bit more expected. Super unprepared with tax exempt forms and a nasty environment and staff not helpful

A few of the reviews mention that the owner is not a nice guy, and I can confirm that. I have attended a couple TNT sales before, and it's always the same old story, but today was the worst estate sale experience I have ever had. The sale was late to get started. It may have only been by a few minutes, but it set the tone for the entire sale. Not to mention there was 30+ people in line waiting. When I tried to look at the jewelry, I was scolded and told only two people at a time. Which is fine. However, it gets worse. I was then told I needed to "take a step back" despite already being 3 or more feet away from the table. The undertones are insinuating that the customers are trying to steal from or dupe them. Which in my experience has never been the case. After being scolded a second time for literally just standing there, I was allowed to finally look at the items. In total I was scolded around 4 times. I complied every time and did not make a scene despite how rude and unprofessional the situation was. Estate sales can have their own set of rules and guidelines, that's perfectly fine, but the way it's communicated to customers is heinous. In addition, during the sale several employees offered to take my items to the front to hold for me. Now my surprise came when I went to check out and there is a sign that says "all items placed on hold must be purchased, or you risk forfeiting your entire purchase." I have been to many estate sales and have never encountered this before. If I had known this, I would not have placed any items on hold. This was never communicated by any of the employees who offered to take our items, nor on any sign on the premises, nor the list of rules taped to the front door. There was only one item I had changed my mind about, I was by no means trying to abuse the power of holding items, but it's ridiculous that you're expected to pay when no one says this until you're checking out. I could go on about how this was a miserable experience, but I digress. Like several others who have left reviews, I will not be attending a TNT sale ever again. read more
