Mark G was Unprofessional and rude from the moment we walked into the TNT Martial Arts doors. He walked up to us (my three kids and I) and looked at me like what are you doing here. I explained how we heard about his gym and we were interested in trying a free 7 day trial. He quickly and directly said "okay? Why martial arts?". I explained my interest for my kids as a quick impromptu and he said nothing as if he was unimpressed by my answer. He continued by asking my kids questions about their names and ages. One of my kids was very hesitant to try martial arts but agreed to watch for the day. Mark rudely mocked my son when he said his age because he had his hands inside his waist band and said "you're 9? Well 9 year olds don't have their hands in their pants. I wouldn't touch your hands because you've been touching your butt crack"...My son looked at me in surprise and not sure how to respond; I rubbed his back. He asked my son what his name was and my son started to walk behind me because he was uncomfortable from being talked to like that. Mark interrupted and said "9 year old boys don't hide behind their mom's" in a condescending tone. I didn't know what to say....Has Mark never met a shy kid before? Wtf! How does this man work with kids?? My special needs son was disregarded and looked over. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. THIS is bully behavior!! Mark pointed us to the chairs and said "well you can watch and talk to the parents". There was no welcome or exchange of how to reach him if we decided to sign up; no brochure or list of packages. We all sat down in shock. My first thought was what a horrible representation of law enforcement and TNT leadership he was. I was also taken back by his tactical gear on full display...Why? No humility. Do you need to prove you were in law enforcement? I don't know him personally however within this one interaction with this man, I got the sense he feels he has something to prove, he's aggressive, condescending, inconsiderate, impatient, and does not represent integrity, respect, honor, self discipline, or compassion..He definitely is not self aware if he's speaking to young kids like this. I would not trust this male figure with my kids emotionally, Physically, Or spiritually, nor would I want my boys to emulate him. I feel for the families who believe this is a respectful way to be treated by anyone in law enforcement. This man is not a good person to support young kids in finding self confidence, self esteem, independence, etc. I walked out before the lesson was over and will not be returning. Took a chance on this place nearly 3 years ago and signed my son up for the anti bully program. My son was struggling with bullying at school due to having autism spectrum disorder and a speech issue. After dealing with the school principal brushing off the bullying because "your son has a speech issue and has a funny speech pattern when he talks, so kids his age are going to make fun of him" We signed him up to learn self defense and how to be proactive in stopping his bullies. The program here has been phenomenal! My son has learned excellent coping mechanisms to stop his bullies. He has learned to work through his difficulties in learning martial arts and the instructors and owner have always been kind and supportive of my sons special needs and have worked with him to help him further his level of functionality. read more

This is an excellent establishment for kids 4 and up. My grandson just got his white belt yesterday and is so proud; he told me, "I can't believe what a great day it is!" The instructors are really really simply amazing with the kids, and Master Mark is off the charts - he brings out the best in children. He's an ex-police officer who really cares about the well being of all children and young adults. My grandson has ADHD, and this martial art practice helps him to focus more than anything else does. Worst place ever. Do not even bother bringing your kids here. My daughter was matched with a black belt and he ended up injuring her. We still deal with the injury so many years later and it has affected her ability to play other sports. The owner is abrasive and hard to deal with. Don't bother. I was there for nearly 4 years, including the last 3 or so as an instructor. My wife has trained there the past year and a half. My kids have been there nearly 4 years. For the first few years, the training and atmosphere was really good. However, over the past year we've slowly watched it deteriorate. The owner, Mark Gajdostik, is no longer as involved with the business as he once was. He seems to be constantly distracted by something both outside the school and inside the school. Weekend events that he used to run he now pawns off on a few of his teenage volunteers. Evening classes that he used to run he pawns off on volunteers. He teaches courtesy, integrity, self-control, and respect, but he doesn't practice it. Despite contributing countless volunteer hours to help him run his business, he has chosen to take issue with things we do and say on our own time, fabricated lies about it affecting his business (lack of integrity), refused to discuss the matter with us (lack of respect), blown things out of proportion to suit his agenda (lack of self-control), and told us that not only can we no longer have leadership positions and are not allowed to train there, but that our kids aren't allowed to train there either (lack of courtesy). If you're looking for somewhere that'll teach life skills and character traits in addition to martial arts, this is *not* the place to go. I might be able to chalk this up to an isolated incident, but I've seen him do similar things to others in the past. Not having the other members side of the story (and believing that it was in the school's best interest to not pursue the member's side of the story), I didn't know how poor his behavior really was. However, after having it happen to me and my family, a little bit of research turned up that this is a regular affair. read more

I joined TNT in the spring of 2008. At the time I was having some fairly intense personal issues that generated a tremendous amount of stress. At TNT I found something unique and very much appreciated. The exercise reduced my stress, the martial arts increased my self-confidence, and I got to know some fantastic people. Mr. Gajdostik is a great instructor - he has an amazing way of explaining things that makes the most difficult maneuver seem fluid and easy. I'm currently a brown belt level 3. I assist with some minor aspects of training. I hope to get my black belt this year. I'm grateful for everything I've learned at TNT and hope to continue my training into the far future. This is a great place for the kids, I have a daughter who has attended classes and loved it. The owner is great with the younger martial artists! He is professional in every aspect of his training and continually strives to keep himself and his school at the top of their game. One of the best things about TNT is that the owner doesn't charge for belt tests! Try to find that at any other Martial Art school. Between the other members, the owner, and observers there is a very warm, inviting, and family-like atmosphere. read more

This is a great place. When you join you are truly welcome. The instructors are positive and supportive. You get to learn cool stuff around positive and encouraging people. Mark is great instructor and has so much experience, not just in Martial Arts, as a former Police Officer he also teaches you how to defend yourself if you have to. Outside of the traditional Martial Arts classes he teaches things like "Anti Bully" classes for kids, "Tactical Knife" classes and Scenario classes, were you get to practice your skills in "real life" situations in a safe, controlled environment. Just went to sign my 3.5 year old up for martial arts at a local place and the "master" greeted us at the door and my son was a little nervous to come in the door because of the man's tone. He immediately told Dylan, "hey! No fiddling with my door. In or out!" So of course Dylan said, "I don't like it here." The master then told me, "right off the bat he is not mentally ready for this. Four year olds don't come in here and act like that." How bout my kid doesn't have a male figure in his life so your deep voice and tone threw him off sir. Way to give him a chance. I was so excited to tour that place once I had the money to sign him up. Not sure if I'm offended, hurt, mad or what? Kinda sucks. I gave a review on Facebook and they completely fabricated a big story about how my boy was misbehaving and his grandmother and I couldn't control him. Then they proceeded to private message me and continue to tell me what a bad parent i was in their own words. Just really unprofessional and rude. read more

Both of my children are enrolled at TNT due to a school bully scenario. We were welcomed from the moment we walked in the door. The instrucor/owner Mark Gajdostick is incredibly professional and is excellent with the students- whether beginging or advanced. One of my children has behavior issues and since we have been at TNT sibling rivalry is down; respect at home is increased; attitudes have changed in a positive way. I can not say enough good things about TNT or Mr. Gajdostick. This school is wonderful and my children are no longer afraid to ride the school bus or go back to elementary school.
