My friend recommended this on his list of Irish Pubs around here, so I decided to give it a try. For a strip mall Irish Pub, it does take you into another world. Cool entrance that opens up to a horseshoe bar with tons of tables and booths. It was Trivia night, so they only had the Stanley Cup playoff on one TV. Sat down at the bar and ordered my Guinness and reviewed the menu. There were a couple of selections I was interested in (always gravitate to Bangers n' Mash), but went with the fish & chips with French Onion soup. Get these together, because the fish is delicious in the beef broth of the French Onion! It was good, though fish could've used a little more batter with the thick walleye filets. I loved it all and enjoyed the conversation with the bartender with the I Love Indie Horror hat. Some good ones out there that aren't being made like they use to!!

After we paid our bill with a credit card, I noticed that we were charged a 3% credit card fee. That was a first, and likely began in April since our last visit was on 3/24/26 and no credit card fee was assessed. Nowhere on the menu was it mentioned there would be a credit card fee, nor was it articulated by a bartender. That sort of fee makes me wonder what's going on in this establishment. Not sure we'll be back.

BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse - That's all the rice I got. The loaded baked potato wasn't loaded, and there was nothing to load actually, but it was tasting good.

We started with the wings and they were absolutely on point--crispy, flavorful, and a really great size. Definitely one of those appetizers where you keep saying "just one more" until suddenly the plate is empty. The drinks were such a fun part of the night too. I got the white peach boba-rita and it was so good. The boba twist made it feel playful and different in the best way, and it was honestly delicious. The hot honeybee drink had a much calmer, soothing vibe and was perfect if you want something cozy and smooth. For dinner we had the chicken parm and the seared ahi tuna salad. The chicken parm had really great flavor, and the spaghetti had a little more spice than I expected, which I actually liked. The chicken itself was a bit chewy and tough for me, but I'm also not a huge chicken person, so take that with a grain of salt. Now let's talk about the real star of the night: the seared ahi tuna salad. This was hands-down my favorite part of the meal. Fresh, flavorful, packed with protein, and somehow still light while feeling super satisfying. It's a little more of a splurge for me, but absolutely worth it. I will 100% be ordering this again. The service was also amazing. Our waitress was so kind, helpful, and genuinely friendly, and that always makes such a difference in the whole experience. Such a happy little dinner moment and definitely somewhere we'll be back to.

Atmosphere is nice and open with plenty of bar seats as well as communal high tops and standalone tables. Nice outdoor patio when Texas weather permits! Tried a couple of their beers: Miso Smooth (Japanese rice lager - 5.5% ABV) and Soul Fire Ultra Light (American Light Lager - 3.7 ABV / 15 IBU). Both decent enough for what they were, the latter being helped by the fact it was only $3 a pint. For food, tried the newly opened Zaep Zaep Thai joint. Had the Thai Basil Combo Fried Rice and an order of Spring Rolls. Seriously good stuff! Unexpected quality for a food court! The chef (owner?) also came into the bar to check to see if our food was to our liking. Definitely a nice touch and I wish him much success. Olivia's Scratch Kitchen serving African cuisine was the only other option open. Was a tough decision and hopefully will be back soon to try their offerings! There was also a cupcake place (Kid Kakes) that seems to get great reviews, but with Oak St Pie Company just a few doors down... well... sorry Kid Kakes! At only 20 years old, the bartender did a great job serving us and was more genuinely personable than many who have done the similar job for years. All-in-all a great impulse decision after The Original Roy Hutchins BBQ line ended up being far too long to wait in!
