My partner had cod in a type of stew, the cod was about four inches, and sat on a tiny portion of stew, and that was it, no chips, veg or anything else. Everyone else in our group was dissapointed with the portion sizes as well. The bill was huge, portions diabolical, and we where all still hungry at the end.

Staff are friendly and the whole ambience of the place makes for an enjoyable visit. The only real problem is that it thinks its a gastro pub and prices its meals accordingly when the quality of the food could be compared to a Brewers Fayre. It had a massive menu (always a bad sign I think) but most of the dishes are variations on a 'meat with sauce' theme. Veg seems to always be microwaved. So, nice place, nice staff, shame about the food.
