The home remained on the market for an extended period with very limited feedback provided to me. Aside from being told the house showed well and one buyer wanted a larger downstairs bedroom, I received little information regarding buyer or agent impressions. After consulting another real estate professional, I learned that several staging and presentation changes were recommended immediately that had previously been dismissed. I had suggested these changes for staging purposes and was told, "it's fine." This left me questioning whether my home had been positioned as effectively as possible from the beginning. I was also surprised to discover that the website printed on the business cards was not functioning properly. As a seller, I expect marketing materials and online resources to be fully operational. My biggest concern was that I did not feel informed throughout the process. Selling a home is one of the largest financial transactions most people will ever make, and I believe sellers deserve clear communication, realistic pricing guidance, timely responses, and proactive marketing. This was my experience, and I hope it helps other sellers ask detailed questions about communication expectations, marketing plans, and pricing strategy before signing a listing agreement.
