Someone gave a very good comment about Haven property management. We reached out to them right away after our renter moved out from the condo. The person on the phone told us that the field agent for Queen Anne location - Tim will reach out to us. He called us after that he said he could not meet with us that week because he is going on PTO. We said no problem next week Friday works for us. On Friday, he called 20 minutes before the appointment saying that he could not make it. We said OK. We tried again the week after. He came on time. He talked to us very professionally. Stated that the room need to be cleaned a little more which we agree, it needed to be professionally clean. He spent probably almost an hour answered our questions about the rent estimate and the process after that. We said we will connect with him after we painted the room and have it cleaned. The week passed by, we emailed him twice asking what to do for the next step. We have never got any reply. This is quite a waste of our time. If he think the room is too small and the minimum charge is not worth his time, he should have just replied and told us that. We ended up listed the condo ourself. It got a lot of traffic and applications. So, we rented it out after 1 showing. We were trying to get away from managing the room ourselves. I guess we will try finding a good management company next time. read more

Had 2 PMs and fired the company after 3 months. They ripped me off on carpet cleaning, flatly lied about checking the condition of the house for 3 days, horrible communication between what the tenants were asking for and what Haven told me. At least they processed the closure of my account quickly. read more

In my initial review, I detailed my horrible experience with my property manager Julia, then Forrest/James stepped in to try and make things right. Long story short, it didn't really work. The PM promised to receive the refrigerator, but missed the delivery twice (yup, twice), then stopped responding to my text or email. Before I reached out, I got a follow up call from James to check on things, and they assigned a new PM upon hearing what happened. I had zero trust at this point, but the new PM, Amy, left a good initial impression and gave me really good advice. So, I was like okay, I can trust her but I should still start looking for another company just in case. Fast forward 3 weeks and things were in good order, some interests, potential tenants, and good communication from PM. Then I got hit by an exorbitant cleaning bill, 200% of what was quoted, and I escalated. Turned out, it was the last PM again, she gave me a number without getting any quotes. At this point, I am happy with the experience with Amy, and how Forrest/James dealt with things. But, trust is easily broken but hard to earn, so I hope I am not disappointed again. read more

Absolutely frustrated with Haven Property Management. We've lived in our rental for almost 2-years and not often do we submit service requests, but when we do - it's as a last resort and need a professional to fix our issue. We are stuck with a not functioning Whirlpool dishwasher with 1" of sitting dirty water for 2+ days. We did our due diligence and cleaned the filters, hit the drain button etc etc. The issue remains and now is beginning to smell foul and drawing in flies. Samantha Jones, Maintenance Coordinator, has not responded with an update on our request, so we called. She stated that they are waiting for approval from the owners. The owners who have countless times denied requests (mildew washer seal, kitchen breakers, bathroom lighting.. to name a few) that will cost them money! We want our dishwasher fixed and better communication on service requests. read more

If you are a renter like me there is no better company to lease with they are very accommodating, extremely respectful, always there for the people who lease with them, Tyler is a freaking rockstar in my book! Ridiculous we had to deal with the owner every time something went wrong which means another day at home and off work, Then the owner said it cost too much to fix so they would come back and try to fix it. Yet another day away from work. The problem(s) never got fixed! We had flooding in the backyard and in the house for days at a time. We also had feces backed up in to the shower! Very unprofessional and unethical folks. Their lack of empathy and greed has forced me out of my home and made me rake up on the legal bills while paying rent for an apartment I don't reside in. This review is written by a legitimate tenant that rents a one bedroom apartment at the Deer Park Condominium in Redmond,WA. The lease agreement is a bilateral agreement which states that in exchange for the house rent, a tenant shall be entitled to quiet enjoyment of their home. When a landlord can't maintain the legal responsibility of managing and controlling the noise levels during the quiet hours, they have violated the lease agreement. I was accused on being fake but couldn't disclose my identity due to the invasion of my privacy. These guys are very good in grabbing your rent but doing nothing about your complaints or promptly taking care of your maintenance requests. If you rent a property through them, get ready to dial 911 and shell out enough money to hire a lawyer to legally represent you in court, or make sure you are well versed in the Washington State landlord tenancy law because these guys will fool you just to extract more money out of you. It took Michael over 10 days to fix an overflowing toilet, even though he walked away saying that he was going to put a rush / urgent request on it. In the meantime, we had to deal with shutting the water supply each time we used the toilet, to prevent the apartment from getting flooded. Less than a month after moving in, I had to contact Haven to complain about the noisy neighbors living above me. The family living above me had 2 young kids who were out from school for the summer and they would run around the apartment till 1:30 am & were back at it 5:00 am. They moved out in mid August and of course, next a couple who are running a woodworking shop moved in October. Throughout the night, the neighbors have physical altercations with each other, while flinging furniture, dropping planks of wood, heavy tools and moving heavy boxes. That's when things started moving downhill and do you think Haven Property management company did anything to manage or control the noise issues we were experiencing between the hours of 10:00 pm - 8:00 am? Nope they did not. In fact the response I received from the Haven Property management office was that their hands are tied and they can't do anything to stop the noise disturbances. I was told to contact the local police department to help me with the noisy neighbor, which I did on 4 separate occasions. The police in return asked me to keep insisting the HOA, the landlord and Haven Property management company do more to enforce the noise ordinance. So now I am playing ping pong ball between all these parties, paying $1700 each month and barely getting 6 hours of sleep through the night since October 2018. The landlord didn't not get involved in resolving this issue at all, but she made sure to collect $1700 each month in rent from me. Its very clear that Haven property management company and the landlord showed no intention, motive, desire of being proactive in helping me. Instead they agreed in an email to let me out of a 10 month lease by charging a lease termination fee, six months rent and six months utilizes. Throughout this episode Haven property management staff kept sending email communications of the Washington State Landlord Tenancy Law that didn't apply to my unique situation and weren't empathetic at all. Haven property management company has perhaps forgotten that I gave them over three months notice to resolve the conflicts but they have given me just cause to break the lease agreement. read more

Being a military family who moves frequently we have lived in a good number of rental homes. We have worked with private owners as well as management companies. We have always had good experiences with all of our prior rental homes. However, there is something extra noticeable about Josiah from Haven Management. He is unlike anyone we have ever worked with. My husband recently got stationed in Bellevue, WA.  Due to the supply and demand of homes available in the Eastside, this has been our most challenging move. Moving to a high-income area was not in our favor. I was about to fully give up until I found Josiah. Josiah has been amazing every step of the way.  Before finding Josiah at Haven Property Management I spent over a month refreshing Zillow and Trulia throughout the day.  Finding a home in our price range was only one obstacle. The number of owners and property management companies who worked with military families was next to none.  Nobody understood BAH (our housing allowance) and didn't want to be bothered with having to look any of that up to verify income/employment. We found Haven to be very accommodating to military families. They also know and follow landlord-tenant laws. As I found out, Josiah is highly educated on the topic. I feel very fortunate to have found an ethical company and property manager. Josiah/Haven ran our application first (as we applied first.) This alone literally saved us from living out of a hotel. So many other local management companies and homeowners happily took our application and money, but only to find out we were being screened along with 10 other applicants. In our experience the military family was never the best fit, it was those who worked high paying jobs at Microsoft/Amazon. Again, this all changed once we found Josiah.  In addition to being honest, Josiah is also amazing at communication. He communicated with us every step of the way. He explained how the entire application process worked, he explained the screening criteria, he explained details of the property/home, he answered every single one of my questions. Let me tell you I had a lot since I was terrified of literally facing homelessness. Josiah has even returned his calls to me after business hours. The amount of effort he spent doing his job didn't go unnoticed. Everything he did from the open house to the move-in process was extremely professional. Everything was done electronically and we were able to get our keys and move in without experiencing any troubles. Josiah even had the house ready for us a few days early than expected (we were able to avoid staying extra time in a hotel room!)  We have happily lived in our rental home for 3 months. We just had a visit from Josiah for the 3-month occupancy home inspections. (They do home inspections every so often and I think this is great for all parties involved.)  We also have recently had to put in our first work order. The work order process is also online and very streamlined. Again, Josiah communicated with me every step of the way about the who/what/when of the vendor and getting the work completed. Josiah took his time to address our concerns and to help solve the problem. The vender they sent out was also very helpful. Everyone in property management should strive to be a Josiah. He truly cared about helping us move into a home. I hope to be able to add to my review after our length of residency and continue to rave about how awesome Josiah and Haven are. If you are a homeowner or resident I truly believe you can't go wrong with Josiah as a property manager. He is truly an informed, ethical, and helpful professional in the industry. read more

I've been a client of Haven for almost three years now. Here are the things I love about Haven: 1) Simple, transparent fee structure: They don't nickle and dime you with all sorts of hidden fees. It's 2 fees, plain and simple. A monthly share of the rent and a move-in fee. That's it. We work with other property management groups that have all sorts of other fees (e.g. annual tax filing fee, tenant renewal fee, etc.). Thanks, Haven, for keeping it simple! 2) Payments are always on time: They remit rents to us pretty quickly compared to other property managers we use. They also keep their reporting very clean, which makes bookkeeping easier. 3) They try to save you money: Dmitry in particular is always looking for ways to keep repairs and maintenance costs low. This is a lot more than I can say for other property managers who just "push the paper". Tenant request comes in, call the sub, don't get bids, just approve whatever price they charge.
