Quite simply, the best shop I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. My Ford Escape Hybrid had complicated computer problems. One shop charged me 800 dollars and gave up on the problem -- and I had nothing to show for the expenditure. Todd hung in there and needed some time, but that's OK. This company proved to be a totally dishonest establishment. I took my vehicle to them for an electrical issue (a faulty door lock switch, power window switch and non working key fob). Several days later, they called me and told me the vehicle was repaired and ready for pick up. Within an hour of taking the vehicle home, the problems persisted with the door locks and key fob, the window remained working. I took it back to the shop. Todd assured me there will be no additional charges since it was still under warranty (one day later SMH). After several more days, I went to the shop and was told that it might be another issue causing the problem. He asked me to bring it back and he would look at it further. I told him that I was displeased because of the amount I was charged and the fact that the vehicle was still experiencing power issues. His response: "Well, we did get the window to work." Shortly after, I initiated a Credit dispute. The Credit company contacted Todd's auto, and theTodd's Auto blatantly lied and told the Credit Card company that they only charged me to have the window fixed and nothing else. My response was: "Why did I bring it back under the warranty if the window was still working and that was all I needed to be fixed?" If you have money to throw away, for poor or no service, take your vehicle to Todd's Auto and hand them your money. At least you'll walk away knowing they didn't steal it from you. read more

HAPPY ENDING: I came to Columbus from North Carolina to visit my wife's family this April. Mere hours into town, my Hyundai Sonata cut out while driving. Fortunately I was in a parking lot, not on the road, and was able to coast to a stop without a crash! My in-laws recommended Todd's based on their years getting their cars worked on by Todd's Auto Clinic. I was able to get the car towed to Todd's and they had my car back to me in two days (it was the fuel pump). 3 days later there was a glitch (this is the less happy part) and the car started hesitating and not responding to the gas pedal like it should. Back to Todd's, where they installed a new fuel pump gasket (the initial 'new' gasket had failed) then drove the vehicle to us - no charge. They made the work good. Thus the happy ending. read more

Horrible service. He had my car 11 months because instead of replacing my head gasket that needed replacing, he wanted to replace the whole engine. He ordered 2 that turned out to from what he said was worse condition then mine. Then we agreed to rebuild it. It is a 95 vehicle but one i wanted to fix. 11 months without a vehicle I get mine back. Had to take it back a few days later because it was shaking, and they did not recharge my AC because they didn't think it worked. They fixed the problem for a day or two then I ended up stranded again. Took it back they fixed it. After $8100 dollars for all repairs, i got my car back in June 2024. It's now December 2024 my car has had the rear main seal leaking, I've had to tighten almost every nut and bolt I could find. And now my head gasket has blown again. Todd asked in other review why I did not bring my car back to him. We'll he apparently is a very busy shop, because 11 month to swap out and engine. I can not go that long without my vehicle again. Receipt pictures on other sites review to prove length of time they had it. Please do not take your vehicle to this shop. When he doesn't like your questions he gets rude and does not communicate with you while he has your vehicle. And the repairs never last. I'm not even sure if he rebuilt my engine or just took it out cleaned it up, and replaced the head gasket. He definitely takes advantage of customers. read more

I brought my car to Todd's Auto shop to get serviced September 2024. My key wouldn't recognize the ignition to start and Todd promised me that he could do the job. I was charged $600 dollars and a year warranty. The same situation occurred again In June 2025, I towed it back to Todd's auto to fix the problem, I was told that it was the mobilizer this time so it wasn't under warranty. I ended up paying an additional $1300 to get the mobilizer installed with a new warranty. Two days later the same situation occurred. I towed my vehicle back to Todd's Auto and he mentioned it was cranking fine for him. (Temporary Fix). In October 2025 the same situation happened again, I towed my car in To Todd's auto for the 4th time within a year, and this time I was told that the mobilizer went bad and he would install a new one. Two months later, (While vehicle is still in Todd's shop) Todd calls me and say We installed the mobilizer, but that's not the problem, It's the Micu, and then mentioned, that the service would be $1200 to install. Todd is very disrespectful he cursed me out over the phone just because I asked him for a receipt for the mobilizer he purchased for my vehicle. I would never recommend this shop to anyone. Very unprofessional and Todds Auto needs be investigated because he's taking advantage of hardworking citizens to gain money. I spent over $2000 and the problem with my vehicle is not fixed and now he wants and additional $1200 for my vehicle to be fixed. Now I'm without a vehicle because I trusted Todd's Auto but instead I feel I was scammed. Now he's telling me to come pick up my vehicle. All seemed to go well with the replacement engine I got in March, but by July I had to bring my car back with a blown engine. It was deter.ined it was inside the engine and not our fault. Then it was time to get a replacement for the replaced engine. It was one excuse after another, it was ordered but then it wasn't because the company gave it to someone else, then the company went out of business, but then it was in business under a different name but same phone number. Finally at the end of September, I have my car back, but not before they found nearly 900 dollars more repairs unrelated to the engine. Although I paid over 7000 dollars for work and engine the first time, and it was under a 6 month warranty, the second engine was not given a 6 month warranty, and told the warranty left on the first engine was what I get. I insisted on getting the months it sat in the shop waiting for them to get the second engine. I may be a female in my 70s but I am not stupid. This is the first step in my complaint. It is your choice to go here, do not be taken advantage of, way too many excuses and they don't add up. read more

Go elsewhere, seriously. I went in on Monday so he could see what the problem was and that way I could go ahead and pay, to order the part, if needed. He looked at the issue (which was a plug and play) and told me that he would be able to fix it, but that I would have to drop it off early in the morning so he had all day to fix it. I called out of work Tuesday and dropped off my vehicle around 8:30am. 2 hours later, I receive a call, they are not able to fix it and that it was going to cost almost $700 to repair, this is not including the $110 that he was charging me for the diagnostic, that I had to pay upon pickup when he had seen the problem the day before. I went straight to the Toyota dealership, after picking up my car and they charged me 208 (it came out to 228 including tax) for the part that I needed and $79 for labor. Imagine this... you give a guy 1500 dollars, "fixes" your damaged vehicle, then 3 weeks later you come back with the same issue... which HE CHARGES YOU FOR INSPECTING THE ISSUE THAT HE MESSED UP. Wait, it gets better. Then, after you try to express your frustration about the situation, he begins screaming at you, taking shots about being "p***y whipped" and stating "I've never worked for anything in my life"(even though I've worked my entire life). This guy is a joke, his shop is criminal, and he is the by far the worst mechanic I've ever dealt with. Believe me when I tell you I'm not the only one, because the two ladies who were in the shop with me were agreeing with all my frustrations, giving hand gestures and shaking their heads in favor of what I was saying. I just spent close to $3000 at Todd's getting it fixed... and by the time they were done it still wasn't fixed. They put in an engine that had a blown head gasket in it. So, they sent that one in and put in another one that kept running hot. After three months of getting it and turning it back in to them to fix, I finally got tired of it and just kept fluid in it every two days to keep the enginge cool. Also, they broke something to my air conditioning and told me I would have to pay them to fix it bc it wasn't covered under warranty. I just took it to curts on victory drive. 22 to 7 Sounds like a football score but actually something else... 22 days, my vehicle was at Todd's autoclinic without getting fixed 7 days at another mechanic and the car is fixed Details October 16, my car is towed to Todd's October 17, I called and was told that the car needed a new battery which was purchased and delivered. Tire was diagnosed as improper valve stem and counterweights, which Todd corrected. $500.00 earnest money was paid towards the bill. Told that the car would be ready by Oct 19th October 19- I called, No part yet October 25- I called and informed part was in Columbus but at the warehouse. Have by the afternoon. October 26- I called and informed would be worked on. Requested that the car be fixed by noon on Oct 29. October 31- I called and informed that the wrong part was sent. The part that sat in the warehouse since Oct 25th? Told new part delivered in a day or two.. November 6- I called and informed part is not here but will be by this afternoon. Enough is Enough- November 6, I called my insurance company to get the vehicle towed from Todds to another vehicle repair shop. November 6, tow truck driver said Todd's would not release the vehicle. Stated that money was owed... November 6, insurance company gets involved and provides ultimatum to fix the vehicle correctly by 430 today or vehicle will be towed. Holding ones car hostage is not a good way to do business. November 6, no part came in so the vehicle was towed out of Todds (No more false promises and excuses) and did I mention Todd never called me to keep me informed.
