From the start, they were professional, knowledgeable, and straightforward about the repairs. They quickly identified the problems and got my car running right again. I really appreciate their honesty and expertise. Highly recommend AAMCO for anyone who wants their vehicle fixed the right way!

After taking 3 weeks to get into shop they called me and I authorized a engine oil change and repair a valve cover leak. The next thing I get is a text to authorize $3500 in repairs. I called Aamco and the mechanic that was working on my van answered the phone. I asked him so far what has he done so far to my van, he stated just installing my transmission, I told him to stop any other repair except installing the transmission. I called back and talked to Mr. Jenkins the owner, he said everything had been authorized for the $3500.00 and he thinks the repairs had been already done, I told him I talked to the mechanic working on my van and that it had not, he said he would call me back. He called me back later and said the all the repairs had not been done so the bill now is close to $1200.00. I got a text my van was ready to pick up, but I was not in town so I paid with a credit card so my daughter that lives 50 miles away could pick it up. My daughter came to pick up van the next day and it would not crank, she looked under hood and breather with mass flow sensor was missing. I called back Jenkins and he said it was like that when it came in, I told him if that was true it should have been listed in the $3500 list of repairs he sent me. He told the outside transmission builder I was lying but he would get me a breather anyway. Afer a couple weeks no breather so I bought one from ebay and the non-Aamco transmission builder took it down there and found other problems they did not have time to correct to fix such as wires not plugged in and loose bolts, so he fixed those problems on the cement pad outside in 90 degree heat to get the van to run. They also lost the cooler tank with hose that goes to cooling system. How these people can keep the Aamco name and do business like this does not speak well of the AAMCO Transmissions, Inc. 410 Horsham Rd Ste 105 Horsham, PA.

When my kids vehicle started having issues, we were recommended to take the vehicle to this shop,…read morethe transmission was full of metal as per the tech, we authorized a rebuild and the vehicle was back with my kid three days (and $4000) later, I thought that was really fast and it was working just fine, for one week...we paid to have the vehicle towed back to the shop from the school, it took another eight weeks to get the parts in and have the vehicle back running....additionally, there were greasy hand prints all over the cabin of the vehicle, so there was little effort to keep everything clean...everything seems to be working well at the moment, but I have noticed an oil leak that was not there prior...thinking its going to another shop for that repair.

I initially went on a Saturday, only to find the shop closed--despite the posted hours saying otherwise. When I returned, I waited over three hours just for a basic diagnostic. I followed up with them daily, only to be pushed back 11 days and then given information that completely contradicted what Transtar had told me. Throughout this time, I found them to be extremely unhelpful and not customer-service oriented. While the staff seemed kind on the surface, their actions didn't align--they never followed through and ultimately refused to even email my warranty company, asking me to do it instead. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience. If you're a young Black woman or just someone seeking honest and timely service, I would not recommend coming here. This could have all been communicated clearly from the beginning, but instead I was strung along, ignored, and ultimately left feeling like my warranty coverage was being dismissed. I truly hope Transtar reevaluates their partnership with this shop. Total waste of time.
