I took my vehicle to this location when it broke down and had them to do a diagnostics and fix it . When I had it towed to this location all four of my car doors were fine . Then when I picked it up my driver side door handle was broken. They were trying to say it was like that when I brought it to them. Also noticed my car wasn't running properly. They initially said after the test it was distributor cap malfunction. Then brought up something else after I paid and was picking it up. So then I called back to tell them my door wasn't like that when I brought it. An I didn't really know that my door was like that when I was at the shop , because an employee came up with some reason to have to go check my car and left my door open, so I didn't really realize how bad it was until I got home. So that prompt me to try my car out and see how it would do and noticed that it wasn't accelerating like it's supposed to not going past 70. I called them about this issue as well and they told me to bring it back in the morning then the next morning when I was trying to bring it back, it would not crank. I feel like I have been treated poorly and was taken advantage of. I trusted them to do the job and they didn't do it . They did come back and say that they realized my door wasn't like that when I brought it in. So they will fix that, I still feel like they are going to try to make me pay for something else. Even though I already paid. I should have been told about all issues before hand and not after I paid . That doesn't sit well with me, my vehicle is still there. I'm just waiting to hear from them to see what they " fix next " . This is a horrible experience, I don't have the money to just take it somewhere else. I need them to fix my car . read more

HONEST! First word I think of. Took a car I. For what I thought was a muffler issue and it wasn't. Something simple with the exhaust pipe. They fixed it and only charged me the $20 inspection fee. I went in with my Alfa Romeo today and was told they didn't have the "equipment" to change my tires. There is no difference in anyway to change tires on my vehicle. Even if so , how is a "tire shop" not equip to service any car? This is the second time the manager has refused service on my Alfa Romeo. I told the manager that you change my tires the same way you would change any car tires. He then proceeded to belittle me and tell me that he has been in this service for 20+ years and I pretty much didn't know what I was talking about. I am assuming he thought I was just some sense less female. I'm getting my tires changed as I type by Angel tires (next door) who laughed when I told him what was said to me by this manager. Bottom line is, do not take your foreign luxury car here. They are not "equip" to handle a simple tire change. read more

I took a F150 there to evaluate a possible brake issue and was told it was a serious oil leak and not a brake issue. They took the time to look at the truck and did not charge me for the evaluation ! The shop mechanics and manager explained what was going on and conducted themselves with such professionalism it just gave me such confidence in their assessment! He said "come on in, we can look at it immediately". I did; they did: learned it was a non-critical alert I could handle after returning home. Great place! All the staff were competent and professional and nobody tried to recommend anything I didn't need. I came in having issues with my steering wheel vibrating when braking and suspected my rotors were warped. Only my front rotors were and they resurfaced them and sent me on my way. I'll definitely be coming back. Them not trying to up-sale me is really what sold me, I hate going somewhere and being told about $100 of extra nonsense they want to do. read more

My vehicle's steering wheel had been shaking when I would brake going over 50mph. It was an ongoing problem that I had for over a year and I had taken my car to get looked at to two different places before and all they said was that I needed an alignment. But the problem persisted. I just moved here and figured I'd take it somewhere new. It took a few hours because I didn't have an appointment, but they fixed the problem! I'm very grateful. My car was getting excessive wear on the front brake rotors which I could see. I didn't want to wait until it became a major problem so I went on line to search for a brake repair shop. I didn't want to go to the dealer. I saw Midas, I knew they had tremendous brake experience so I made an appointment. 4pm New Years eve too. After I arrived, they took my car right in, no waiting. Some places appointments don't mean much. About twenty minutes later, the technician came and brought me to my car and showed me exactly what was going on. I really like being able to speak to a tech and not a service manager like at the dealer. I agreed to his suggestions for repairs and I though they'd set an another appointment for after New Year day. No, they were ready to work now and the price was very competitive. Midas has a great warranty for their work and parts nation wide too! The managers and my technician were all very professional and pleasant to work with. And there was no upselling like a lot of places try. Just the work I needed. I'm very happy with this place and I'll be bringing my oil change and tire business here also. read more

I recently had an oil change done at this Midas (never again!). I only requested an oil change, but they went ahead and did a "standard inspection" of my car without my permission, and of course, they charged me for it. Post-inspection, they tried to scare me into believing that an additional $400-worth of work needed to be done. They told me it was urgent and insinuated that if I did not allow them to do the repairs immediately, my car would likely die on the way home. A Midas employee also removed my cabin air filter without being asked to and then told me the filter was so dirty that he would not be able to put it back in and that it would have to be replaced, which he said would cost about $100. I insisted that he put back the filter that he chose to remove without my permission. Needless to say, I have since taken my car elsewhere (Sheffield Automotive; they are amazing!), and as I suspected, there was nothing wrong with my car at all, including the cabin air filter. I don't know if it was because I am a woman, or if I just look like a sucker, but Midas' employees tried to scare me and rip me off for no good reason. I was very disappointed and will not be patronizing Midas in the future. read more

Had a 12:00 appointment to get my breaks done and I have been here since 11:30 and it is now 1:45, they haven't even started on my breaks....I have a very important business appointment at 2pm that I will no longer be attending and I am in deep shit. They told me that I would be out of here by 12:30. I am appalled about the time line. I would have never come here had there been reviews on this place before. I hope this helps out people.....however, the work that was done is great! Car drives like brand new. They checked all of the fluid levels, tire pressure and more. Update: Midas contacted me and apologized. The manager, Tony, personally took another look at my car and explained some things to me that wasn't explained before. I do need new tires and a new back windshield wiper. There were still some things that they should have not put on the estimate, but there was some miscommunication between the tech and biller, and was put on there. Tony was very apologetic and he is making it right. I also would like to say that before this incident, I had been to Midas a few times before with zero problems. I purchased tires on the Tire Rack website and had the tires shipped to this location. The tires were received, and I contacted them to set up an appointment. My car was received and the tires were installed as promised. Everyone at the shop was professional and it is apparent that this is a well-run, locally owned shop. I brought in car to have my brakes inspected. I knew they would need replacing. The Manager was a nice gentlemen and explained that the brake pads were fine but the brake kit was not in good shape and would need to be replaced. I went ahead and had both left and right brake pads and rotors replaced. That very same day I kept hearing a grinding noise that I had not heard before. I went back to have them look at it and it turns out the rotors they installed were warped. Well I continued to hear the grinding noise but this time it was coming from the back end of the car. I thought it was just me but I had someone else get in the car and they could hear it. I took my car back in yesterday and spoke with the Manager and he took a look at it and yes my rear brakes pads were bad. Mind you, I was originally told they were fine. So the manager went ahead and replaced them. I expected to have to pay for this since this was not what originally paid for. But to my surprise the Manager did this free of charge. I offered to pay for the parts or some labor but he just kept saying he wanted a happy customer. I'm amazed, and very grateful. I would go back to Midas on Manchester Expressway again.
