I don't know if I am doing this correctly, but I would honestly advise against using Sterling. I made an appointment months in advance because I was struggling with depression and wanted to pursue getting antidepressant medication in addition to diet, exercise, and therapy. I confirmed my appointment two days in advance, signed my forms digitally, and was glad about getting help for my condition. They responded to my confirmation with an additional message, so my confirmation was confirmed. Thirty minutes before my appointment, they let me know it had been cancelled. I called the office to ask why, and perhaps reschedule. I get it. Sometimes physicians get sick or have a family emergency. That would have been totally okay and I could have done the appointment another time. The receptionist pretty rudely informed me that my would-be psychiatrist quit a month ago, and that she was no longer with Sterling. I told her that was a bit confusing for me as the patient, because they still confirmed my appointment. She responded to this negatively as well, and when I asked about scheduling with another physician, she said that would be not likely or not possible because Sterling only has one psychiatrist and he is far too booked up. I really needed help with my depression, and I wish that Sterling hadn't given me what was basically a fake appointment. I also wish they weren't so rude when I was following up looking for care. If I had known my physician quit, or that the appointment wasn't happening, I could have gotten treatment somewhere else. Now, I am still in need of medical advice regarding my depression, but I'll likely have to wait a few more weeks to get advice somewhere else while my condition worsens. I can't speak for every physician or every patient experience, and I am sure that Sterling has some great physicians and patients with great experiences. However, my experience was pretty bad. My advice would be to either get psychiatric care somewhere else, or to pick up the phone and call to confirm appointments, because they'll apparently mislead you about availability and confirmation through both text and email. I'm sitting in a parking lot waiting for my prescriptions and decided to review immediately because this office was just that great! I was a walk in client and still got in very quickly. They were up front with pricing so I knew exactly what the cost was to me before being called back. They were able to give me x-rays and a breathing treatment on the spot, and gave me treatment options without being pushy and without it seeming like they were getting money from a pharmaceutical company for selling certain brands. The doctor was willing to discuss my concerns about the prescriptions and never made me feel like I was annoying or out of line. He even printed coupons for my prescriptions when I asked about lowest cost pharmacies. I'm very happy with my experience here, and will likely return for primary care needs.

What made it worse was witnessing the way she was spoken to during her care with Dr. Meadors. During an incredibly vulnerable and devastating moment, I heard my wife being yelled at by a physician and watched as she felt her concerns, emotions, and pregnancy loss were being dismissed. As her husband, I was shocked and outraged by the interaction. Other members of our family heard it as well and were equally disturbed. This was not simply my wife being emotional because of what she was experiencing. We witnessed the interaction ourselves. No woman going through the loss of a pregnancy should feel belittled, dismissed, or spoken to harshly by the medical professionals entrusted with caring for her. My wife deserved compassion, patience, professionalism, and dignity. Instead, she left the experience hurt and deeply disappointed, and as her husband, it was extremely upsetting to see her treated that way when she was already grieving. Our family will not forget this experience. Based on what I personally witnessed and how my wife was treated during such a vulnerable time, I cannot recommend this practice.

After giving my name, I was directed to step on a scale and provide measurements--no introduction, no explanation, no basic courtesy. It felt more like processing inventory than welcoming a person. Then came the actual "care" session. The provider launched into a rapid-fire explanation of all the ways the clinic can bill you, delivered with the energy of a fast-talking sitcom character. She shared that she knew I had already been given all of those details though just wanted to recap again. Then, she told me why she thought I was there which was not accurate. I asked her to slow down and please take the time to have dialogue instead of talking at me. She never asked meaningful questions or or make a genuine attempt to understand why I was there, which made any real conversation about mental health impossible. Overall, the experience felt dismissive, disinterested, and transactional from start to finish. The caregiver, in particular, seemed better suited to a role with minimal human interaction - perhaps guarding an empty museum wing, because meaningful engagement was clearly not part of the approach. I am genuinely appalled and disturbed this clinic presents itself as having any aptitude in mental health care. None of them demonstrated an ounce of intellectual curiosity or communication skills which should be critical in caregiving roles.

I had an arrhythmia in my past so I try to remain aware. I walked in without an appointment (at lunch no less) and was taken right to a room. They decided to run an EKG on me as a good way to see what was going on. The process was run three times to insure that the results delivered were consistent. The next thing I knew paramedics had been called, the staff was ready for CPR if necessary and I was bundled up and out the door on the way to the hospital! My story has a happy ending. Surgery corrected my issues and I live happily ever after. I think about what happened that day every time I drive by the clinic. Had I not been received so quickly and had the staff not triple tested me to make sure I was in distress, and had they not been so quick to call paramedics well, I might not be able to even write this review!!

I'm a seasoned traveler, Europe, Latin America, never been afraid of diseases, but the PA was laying out as a dangerous thing traveling to different countries. She was not very patient when asking to repeat or waiting on last minute answers. Since the clinic is cash only, they really treat as the patient won't be returning to them, at least that's how it felt.
