The office has been consistently great about getting us in same-day when the need arises, and that sense of security when it comes to your kids is priceless. The care my kids have received has also been consistently great. Another important plus: when our kids were switched over to Medicaid bc of the marketplace, they continued to see us, and not all offices do that. My oldest; my daughter, saw Dr. Mallard for her first two years. He truly was great. As she grew older, I wanted to change to a female Doctor, and we couldn't be happier with Dr. Shekarabi! My daughter adores her, and she's so patient, thorough, and really takes her time with the kids. Her nurse is also warm and welcoming. When my son was born in 2021, he had a couple of complications that were quite scary for us during his first two months. Dr. Shekarabi did an incredible job of finding the problem, saw him multiple times per week to keep a close eye on him, got us into a specialist. I am so thankful we had her in our corner during that crucial time. Our son is now 15 months old, and doing great! The office is a twenty-five minute drive from us here in Brentwood, but my husband and I value this place enough to deem it worth the drive. I highly recommend this office for your kiddos!

Dr. Inman has already spent 3 hours with him in person, researched medical equipment and pharmacies for us, called in an emergency prescription on a Saturday (within 20 minutes of when we texted him) and set up a specialist appointment. If you want a doctor that really cares about you, researches everything you need help with and is available every day of the week if needed - get Dr. Inman. Calls and messages go unanswered for long periods of time, if they are returned at all. When you are dealing with your health, waiting days (or longer) for a response is unacceptable and frankly alarming. In addition, my experience with the nurse who drew my blood was very negative. She was rude and did not appear confident or skilled in performing the blood draw. Unfortunately, my concerns proved valid, she used the wrong tubes, which resulted in most of my lab work being canceled. This created unnecessary stress, delayed my care, and forced me to repeat labs that should have been done correctly the first time. Overall, I left feeling that the clinic is far more focused on collecting payment than on providing quality patient care. It is honestly concerning that they are able to treat patients privately without insurance given the level of service I experienced. Between the doctor's failure to return calls and the clinical errors with my lab work, this has been the worst healthcare experience I have ever had. She goes above and beyond. She is the kindest, caring, and most knowledgeable doctor I have ever had. My Provider had sent out five referrals for a rheumatologist and Dr. Kaplan was the only one that answered. I believe Dr. Kaplan was a God send. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Kaplan was the last in a long line of specialists and misdiagnoses after a year of frustration and pain so bad that I was bed bound with it by the time I got in to see her. She got my diagnosis right on the first visit and has kept my pain absent to bearable for the last two years. She is very thorough; she does a physical exam on all of my joints at every appointment, she keeps excellent notes and follows up on them at every visit, and she is very responsive if you need to message her on the Vanderbilt portal. It is a shame to say, but getting a thorough physical exam from any doctor these days is a rarity in my experience. I feel super lucky to have found her, especially when I read stories about how people are treated (or not!) by their rheumatologists. The only drawback is the money, but the crappy American healthcare system is not Dr. Kaplan's fault. I have pretty good insurance and still pay around $400 out of pocket for each visit until I hit my deductible. If I recall correctly, my initial eval was around $800 so be prepared. The other doctors just wanted to keep me on prescriptions drugs, Dr. Potter cared enough to actually fix me instead of just prolong my illness. He will fix you instead of just keeping you on drugs. I feel better now then I have in over 8 years.
