Was in town for a high school graduation and had to come here because of a bad cough and fever. Very nice, modern facility with a welcoming lobby. Very easy to make an appointment on line. Arrived a few minutes late but was not an issue. Receptionists were very nice and informative. Got in to a patient's room within 5 minutes of checking in and completing two pages of paperwork. The nurse practitioner was very thorough and took down my symptoms and history. Dr Bloom came in about 20 minutes later. He was informative, pleasant, and thorough. Prescribed a decongestant and gave a recommendation on a OTC expectorant to take. Very happy overall with the experience. read more

I'll start this off by saying never have I ever felt so neglected as a patient before in my entire life. I went in on a Wednesday as I had the beginning stages of a sinus infection (I get them about twice a year) and a painful, consistent cough. I was seen fairly quickly and took the original doctors advice of a cough medication and steroid before starting antibiotics, a little different from what I'm used to but I agreed. After waking up the next day and feeling my symptoms get worse I realized I'd like the antibiotics sooner rather than later especially because the prescribed cough medication wasn't doing much of anything for me other than making me a bit drowsy. So the next day, Thursday, I called requesting to have those antibiotics sent into the pharmacy. I was explicitly told "the doctor will call it in for you and you'll receive a text message once it's been done in about an hour" at 10:30AM, I waited until 5:30PM to call back as my pharmacy stated they had not received anything, funny how all of a sudden my calls weren't not being answered for an entire hour and finally I had the idea to use a friends phone and wouldn't you know it they picked up after two rings? So I realized they were obviously ignoring my calls, still I remained polite and asked about my prescription for antibiotics I was told the doctor on duty already called it in and I immediately called their bluff as I had just checked my online account AND called the pharmacy, so now they're just lying how great. I let the receptionist know that nothing has been called or sent in, she said the doctor would get on it. Mind you at this time it is 7:30PM and the pharmacy and them close at 8PM. Long story short they never called or sent anything in. Now it's Friday and even though I am frustrated, in pain, haven't slept in 2 days and having asthma attacks from the constant coughing - I am in distress. I call and ask about the prescription and I am told they will speak to the doctor and call me back. They call back and tell me the doctors does not want to send the prescription because the original doctors notes said to wait 3 days before sending, which I would understand if he hadn't told me to just call if I wanted them sooner and to add insult to injury I was told "it might be better to go to the er" is the doctor going to pay the er bill? After I paid a $100 copay to see them on Wednesday? I am not asking for narcotics. I am not asking for fentanyl. I am asking for antibiotics to help kick something that I know I have, rather the antibiotics take a few days to work or not I wanted the peace of mind knowing I'd feel better soon rather than sitting in fear that the next bad coughing fit is going to send me into another asthma attack. I tell them ok and leave it at that. It is now Saturday, the day they said they'd be ok sending the prescription and guess whose phone calls are not being answered? How much pain do I have to be in for them to take me seriously? I have never in my life have been made to wait for something so simple. I feel as though I'm being treated like a random addict for asking for antibiotics? The only reason I agreed to wait to have it sent is because the doctor made it seem it would a simple phone call to have it sent. I've been gaslit, lied to and straight up ignored. I don't feel like a patient who paid $100 to be seen. My body is exhausted, the medication that I've been given hasn't done a thing and the one thing that I know for a fact would have helped is now feels like it's being withheld from me? I don't know what I did to them other than be a scared, sick patient trying to get some actual answers. I'm so beyond disappointed in the experience I've had here. read more

I recently visited Dr xxx's office for a case of what appeared to be Rotavirus. Before going to the office, I called to ask if they could test for it because I was going to be around family members I didn't want to get sick. The front desk said they checked with a physician and they could not test for it. I ended up going in anyway because I had been vomiting for 48 hours and needed an EKG. When I got there, the provider said they can absolutely test for Rotavirus and gave me an option for a test. The test was then lost and they notify me until over a day later. I said I could go back for another but wanted to make sure I wouldn't have to wait when I got there. They assured me the front desk was tracking and would be ready when I arrived. They botched that, too. When i got there the front desk knew nothing of it and made no effort to resolve it for over 15 minutes until I asked for their supervisor. When I complained to the supervisor their response from from the secretary, Jodi Strock, was "it's clear that we are unable to meet your expectations" and you are no longer welcome at our business. These guys missed the mark not once, not twice but three times and simply complaining about it was enough for them to request I go somewhere else. That part is fine. I'm with them. However, this is an office that wants zero accountability for their actions and appears to have no intention to improve based on the response. Also, issues with back office botching things was a regular occurrence. When an off site MRI was ordered for numbness in my arm they forgot to order it, then they didn't contact me with the results. They don't answer the phone in an urgent care so that you have to pay to be seen before they will answer questions about what services they perform. Half of my immediate family are Dr's. I have a reasonable bar for my expectations. Honestly, the providers here are decent but I have had one issue with one of them absolutely missing the mark on a diagnosis. The real issue is the support staff has horrible communication and their inability to provide accurate information or keep up with tests or their results is worse than providers not being able to do their job. read more

Ive been going to Physicians Urgent Care, Franklin for over 10 years I believe and have always been happy with the Drs and care here, referred so many people here over the years. I also had used them as my primary in Brentwood until the Dr there moved. I went to Physicians Urgent Care on Tuesday 10/16 and saw Emily Seigle. I felt from the beginning when she walked in the room it was a mistake because her manner made me feel as if I was an inconvenience just being there and her attitude was one of whatever. I told her that I had sinus pressure, ear was aching, sore to the touch over eye and cheek area on the right side and had been using Tylenol Cold and Flu over the weekend. I don't generally just run to the Dr. it takes a lot for me to go. So when I do I don't feel well. She looked down my throat, listened to my lungs and proceeded to tell me that it was hard to say if it was Viral or Bacterial and would call in a prescription for Antiobiotic but wait until Sunday if I got worse. Went to pick up the prescription and the pharmacist said we can't fill this until Sunday do you know why? Very unusual for this type of prescription. I did call the Drs office very upset. Now 2 days later I'm running a fever, sinus pressure is awful, cheek is sore to the touch and teeth hurt as well as ear all on the right side. And I have to wait another 2 days for the antiobiotic? It is definitely a sinus and ear infection progressing I know my body. I am taking tylenol every 4-6 for relief which I am sure is not a good thing. So disappointed in how Physicians Urgent Care has changed and I will not be back. There are other clinics in Williamson County that will be more than happy to see us when we need care. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I went in for stomach pain mainly on right side. I asked the physician assistant/Alex Terry if I could get an ultrasound since stomach pain on right can be associated with gallbladder, liver, kidney, pancreatic, just to name a few. He said "no" that he would perscribe a CT Scan, which is equilvent to 1,000 chest xrays and costs $3,000 versus $200 for an ultrasould. This is why my family and I will AVOID Physician Assistants and Nurse Practioners at all costs, go see an MD if you care about your health! read more

I've always had a good experience at the Berry Farms location, but today had a very unpleasant visit at Franklin location. I waited an hour after booking online and the Dr. spent about 4 min in the room with me. She was extremely condescending and very hard to communicate with. Was seen for a UTI and tried to explain some recent problems even when the culture was clear. After the office visit I sat in my car and felt terrible about the entire interaction. I called ahead because I needed a PCR test, they gave me pricing and when I got there the receptionist informed me the price "might" be different, but she seemed to not be able to give me a straight answer on the price. On their screen in the office it says $79. However in small print at the bottom of the paper you sign says, "I agree to pay x amount more, which will be billed". Which to me this was SUPER SCAMMY. This place has top notch staff and physicians and amazing hours (open every day 9-9) which is great bc I always seems to need to see a DR at 3:00 on a random Sunday. I've never waited more than 10 minutes and usually less than that. Their offices are so comfortable, well appointed and clean. Patient rooms all have flat screens and leather chairs vs typical "sterile" look. Lobby has games for kids and free chips and snacks. Almost like being at someone's house vs an urgent care. Seems multiple doctors over the last 2 years and all are down to earth and take time to ask questions and explain things. Definitely recommend. read more

Be careful --- Although Physicians Urgent Care presents itself like any other "walk-in" or quick care facility in the area, it is structured as an "urgent care" service. So, unlike Vanderbilt Walk In Clinic and many other facilities / offices, you may be charged a much higher co-pay than you are accustomed to seeing. While I'm familiar with the insurance that I have and its co-payments, I did not catch the deceptive characterization of this walk-in. Indeed, unlike nearly all other medical practices in town, this place DOES NOT disclose the co-payment when you arrive and sign in. So, if you make the mistake (as we did) that it will be the average co-pay, you will be in for a surprise. This is because Physicians Urgent Care rushes you back and lets you "purchase" their services before showing you what you'll end up paying. I suppose it makes sense for them. Indeed, who would pay them a $75 co-pay when they could drive 5 minutes up the road to Vanderbilt Walk-In Clinic (which ALWAYS discloses their fee and co-pay at the outset), receive similar care, and pay their normal co-pay amount. In sum, while this place has a nice building and is conveniently located, it is not a cost-effective option. I strongly suggest the alternatives in the area -- Vandy, MinuteClinic, etc. Also, these people are really rude when you bring up a problem. Their main partner didn't even apologize for his staff's errors nor did he do anything to resolve the problem. read more

Saw a PA twice and the doctor once, but all three were very capable and knowledgeable. "Physicians" urgent care used to be my go-to place to see a PHYSICIAN. I am a doctor. If I am sick, or my kids are sick, I want to see a DOCTOR. They no longer always have a doctor on premises. Even worse, I called ahead to make sure a doctor was working and they said yes. When I arrived at location to be seen they again said I would see a doctor. NOT TRUE. I went ahead and agreed to see nurse practitioner because I was so sick. She offered me a shot - one that I am ALLERGIC to. This is the second time I have gone there after calling to be sure a doctor was there, being told yes, and showing up to find out this was not true. There is a difference between a doctor and a nurse practitioner or a physician's assistant. read more

Made an appointment for my daughter. On the way there (20 minutes before the appointment) k got a text saying they were behind. I was already on the way. Waited an hour and a half, my daughter wanted to go back alone. After an hour and a half of waiting, they send her back out with just a "it's normal." No explanation, they took 5 minutes to talk to her and sent her away. I asked to speak to the Dr so that I could understand what part of increased bleeding and stomach pain over the last 5 days was normal. They stuck us in the room again for more waiting. I finally realized they had no intention of doing anything for my daughter (who has been in the floor crying since yesterday) I just got up to leave. On the way out, the dr all of the sudden was happy to answer questions after we sat and waited even longer. I get it's busy, (even though only 3 people came in and out the whole time we were there) but being dismissive because she's a teenager and not taking the time to explain why you think what she's experiencing is unprofessional. I know they blew her off because she's a kid. Why is bleeding and pain that increases every day normal. Explain it to me, I don't get it. "I'm happy to answer your questions" on our way out after we waited a really long time and she blew my daughter off was too little too late. Don't customer service me after you've already shown you have any interest in being thorough or helpful. I'll never be back here. Go ahead and blow it off, say I overreacted, drs are overworked, whatever makes it ok for you to give such crappy care. But do better. She was so nervous on the way there and they just blew her off. If you don't handle gynecological issues or like dealing with teenagers, just say so. That interaction is everything wrong with health "care." read more

Trish went above and beyond helping us. Office was clean and everyone was friendly and professional. We were seen quickly by paramedic and then Dr. Noble. I liked this place. Usually, urgent care facilities feel repressive and grubby, but this one was the opposite. Our private room had a flat screen and leather loungers and the lobby had free snacks. So why the three-star review? Well, it's really 3.5. I liked our doctor. I did. I thought he was awesome. And perhaps my complaint is reflective of the medical community as a whole...My son had a rash on his armpit. As he's a wrestler, I assumed impetigo or something equally gross. The doc took a 5-second look at his armpit and called it folliculitis. He said to stop wearing deodorant for a few days and to use a cortisone cream. As I wasn't overly convinced, so he also gave us a prescription for an antibiotic cream, just in case. Later that night, my son, who is 10, pointed out that, "Whoops", the rash was also on his legs, clearly not an armpit allergy. I called back to Physicians Urgent Care the next day to see if this new revelation changed their knee-jerk diagnosis. Wanna guess what they said? Come back in, and we'll look at it. (insert eye roll emoji). I could have called it before calling, I should have called before calling, but I was hopeful that they might be more flexible. After all, we were just there; you should have taken more than 5 seconds in the first place and examined my 10-year-old because 10-year-old boys aren't always the most detail-oriented people on the planet! Instead of going back in, I decided to give the antibiotic a go for a couple of days. Thankfully, it worked. Would I go back? Maybe I would, but I would definitely advocate for a more thorough exam. The only thing I didn't like about this place is how they presented themselves much like Justin H. mentioned in his review. I called and asked them on the phone and they said that they are a specialist clinic so based on my insurance and the conversation I had with the medical receptionist who spoke with my insurance company, it was going to be $45 rather than $30. With the condition of the building and the promptness I was MORE than happy to pay the extra $15. My visit was great, doctor was great and them I got my bill a couple weeks later for $30. I called and explained what I was told on the front end and the person in billing simply told me that it was coded as an emergency visit. I asked them to waive the $30 cost. She said that she would check and let me know. I got a couple of more statements with no call back so I initiated anther call and went through the routine again. I got the same answer. After a year of battling a $30 charge I went ahead and paid it. I can tell you this, Vandy Walk-in may be crowded but at least I know what I will have to pay. I WILL NEVER go back to Physicians Urgent Care based on their lack of willingness to work with me on a $30 charge. If they would have a) told me on the front end what I would have to pay or b) stood behind their employee misinforming me, thus paying my $30, I would have gone there over Vandy every time. UPDATE - I just called and asked again what the copay would be; $35, $45 or $75 and with confidence, I was told $45. I explained my situation, one more time after being placed on hold for a VERY long time spoke with someone in billing who tried to explain to me why I should be paying more than what I was told I should be paying immediately. I am just paying the $30 and moving on but rest assured would never step foot in that place agin. read more

Darn it, Darn it, Darn it! I hate grading this place down. I wouldn't do it based on one experience typically, but this one attributed to ( note I did not say "caused me to") have 3 visits with an ENT and a lot of discomfort. Of note: I've worked with doctors for 30+ years. I know what it looks like when they blow off a patient because they want to get out the door. I developed a swimmer's ear. I'm a swimmer, it happens. However, I'd had this same kind of infection before, e.g. fungal swimmer's ear. I went to PUC on March 4th and presented shortly after 6:00 PM. They had one patient in the room and were finishing up with her. They also had a sign on the door that said they were closing at 7:00 that night because the weather was supposed to get bad. (It did.) I was put in a room quickly and the doc walked in and asked me what was up. "My ears are plugged", I told him and he looked in my left ear lickety split. He said the equivalent of "Ewwww". I told him I'd had this before and it was fungal. As he headed out the door...seriously...30 seconds in the room, he said, "It LOOKS fungal". I asked if I needed them flushed and he assured me I did not. I stopped him, told him I'd had a large dose of Amoxicillin the day before at the dentist (knee replacement...have to premedicate at the DDS) and asked if that would interfere with any prescription. He was visibly annoyed that I stopped him and said, "No, you already pee'd that out." Then he prescribed two antibiotics. Fungal infection. Against my better judgment, I took both. By the next day or so my ears were a lot worse (i.e. pretty much deaf) and I got into an ENT. He confirmed...fungal infection. I had to have both ears flushed and an anti-fungal ointment put in the ear canal that has to stay in place for a week. Then have the procedure repeated on my other ear. The process will take 3 weeks. The ENT confirmed that the antibiotics killed off the normal flora and allowed the fungus to thrive...and it had to be flushed. Moral of the story: I've had some good experiences at PUC; but don't go there when they want to close in an hour. You'll pay for a visit and some meds that don't help. First...do no harm (unless it's snowing.) read more

This is my first visit to an urgent care and it was surprisingly a painless and headache free experience. The only downfall I have is that the front desk staff isn't very attentive to your needs. Not your typical walk-in clinic by far. So much better you will be blown away! I had been visiting the Vandy Walk-in Clinic down the road for the last couple of years, which to me is a typical clinic: linoleum floors, awful fluorescent lighting, neutral walls and a long wait. I always received adequate care there, but the facilities and wait time leave something to be desired. A couple of months ago, I was referred to Physicians Urgent Care for an infected toe injury and, man, am I glad I was. Walking into the place, I was immediately impressed and shocked at how nice it is: hardwood floors, comfortable leather couches, warm colored walls, etc. It only got better from there. Reception was very nice, wait time was only 10 min (now I check-in online and have no wait), nurse was extremely nice, doctor was nice, good bedside manner and very thorough. And, yes, that's right, I said doctor. On top of it all, you get to see an actual ER physician. This review is already long enough, so I won't blabber about more details. Bottom line, this place is incredible: * Very nice, comfortable facilities * Extremely warm, friendly and caring staff * Actual doctors * Little wait time / online check -in I now go here instead of my primary because it's so much easier, quicker and more convenient. It's a little more expensive but well worth it. I can't tell you how helpful and truly caring the doctors and nurses are. If you live in Franklin and need a doctor, go here! This is my go-to walk-in-clinic! This is saying a lot since it's about 25 minutes from my house and there are several others I could go too. Love the staff, love that the place is always clean, and love that they have a lot to keep you entertained if you and a zillion other people are all sick at the same time on the same day and your have to wait your turn. My son and I were there last night because we thought he had the flu, unfortunately his symptoms were more along the lines with meningitis. Instead of charging us and taking unnecessary tests the physician sent us over to the ER. For this I was grateful and it made me realize how much they care about their patients well being and actually pay attention to what their patients symptoms really are. read more
