I visited the Toledo Rooftop on a weekday afternoon on a trip to Mexico City. We went for drinks only. The rooftop view and ambience is wonderful. The staff on the other hand is not great. They stand around and talk to each other and do not recognize when guests want another drink, check , etc.. We practically had to flag them down to get our check and they were very close to us. For Mexico City, this place is overpriced. If you want a drink with a few, this is a nice place, but I wouldn't stay here for a long. There are way better places to have drinks in Mexico City. read more

We came to Toledo for drinks after dinner and got some margaritas from the bar for the dance floor. The atmosphere is lively and fun and while we didn't spend a lot of time on the rooftop, the ambiance is nice and it's great on a nice cool evening. I also got a jamaica mezcalita which is my go-to drink in Mexico City and it was super refreshing but strong which was exactly what I was looking for! read more

Food was delicious and the service was amazing. Fast and efficient and the best part was the fact that they can accommodate for everyone with an all English menu in the back. Meredith and I came here on our last night in MXC and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Overall a nice atmosphere and getaway with comfortable seating arrangements, food and service. read more

Wanted to go to this rooftop because it looked absolutely beautiful and their mazapán dessert looked amazing! Made a reservation about an hour before closing (got there about 10 minutes early) and were told that they had stopped serving food and had about half an hour to be there. We still decided to go up for a drink since I loved the pictures I saw online. We tried their tequila punch and another drink the waiter recommended when I asked for a sweet drink. However, the drink was not sweet at all. It tasted very Smokey and I could not drink it. Like mentioned, their mazapán pie was the main reason I wanted to go to this place so we went back. We tried their fried and the pie. The fries were good and the dessert was delicious! Definitely made the wait worth it. The rooftop is beautiful and the views are amazing. A great space to sit outside and enjoy the center of CDMX and all of its glorious building designed to fit perfectly with the amount of greenery this city offers. I recommend sitting on the outside terrace and making a reservation for sundown so you can witness the city come to life at night. Horrible experience at this restaurant/club. Had an 8:15 reservation for 4 people. We arrived 10 minutes prior and were told they did not have a table ready and to get a drink at the bar. We got a drink and were charged 1,200 American dollars for 2 drinks. We informed the of the error and were told to just dispute it with our bank. Make sure you are checking your bank statements after each purchase. Horrible customer service and 2 hours later we were still not seated for our reservation. read more

This place is no bueno! Food was terrible and expensive. Chicken was dry and not edible. The fries were cold and we were the only 3 in restaurant. We paid $95 American for 2 drinks, a water, chicken sandwich, hamburger, and 3 small tacos (they replaced the chicken sandwich with a tasteless margarita pizza) There was a constant beep as one of the smoke detectors needs battery replacement and place needs deep cleaning as couches looked like they have not been cleaned for years. Save your money and go to a local taco stand! read more

Food was awful! Do not order the chicken sandwich, it was so bad I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. The chicken as like cardboard hard and dry! I ordered an espresso martini and it was weak and half full. The guacamole was mediocre and the margarita pizza had no flavor. The French fries were cold. Pros: -it's pretty. -Staff did let us in w/o a reservation after we explained that we just wanted to grab a drink before heading somewhere else (Sat night, ~10pm) Cons: -Staff had MAJOR attitude -style is generic/trendy. If you've gone to the "cool" bar in your city, then you've been to this place. -two cocktails - a carajillo and a paloma - ended up being 60USD. Seemed like there was a mistake because drinks in CDMX are a fraction of that even in nice places. I came here after a friend recommended and I was absolutely blown away by the service, ambience and the food!!! I don't know what the other people are talking about but this place was BOMB! We ordered two salads to start, the Mediterranean and the Beet Salad. Both were delicious but i have to highlight the Beet Salad! It was so good and I don't even like beets! We wanted to get another one but decided to save room for the rest. We then ordered the Arrachera tacos, Tuna Carnitas, Fried Chicken Torta, the Cauliflower salad, and a side of grilled veggies (these weren't on the menu but my friend was trying to be healthy so they made it happen) Just wow. Everything was incredible. The meat was so tender in the tacos and they came on some homemade tortillas. The tortillas looked like they literally made them straight up from the nixtamal. I love how they serve everything with a side of lime and these 2 little delicious salsas. One salsa was more like a Smokey chili oil and the other was a green salsa (tomatillo and jalapeño maybe) it tasted great on everything! The Cauliflower salad was also pretty epic. It was only half a cauliflower but it was gigantic! I loved the sauce on it, it kinda had a Mac and cheese vibe. It was so lovely. My favorite dish was probably the Tuna Carnitas. They came on a bed of smooth guacamole and the texture was EXACTLY like carnitas! They served it with a side of little tiny tortillas in the most precious tortilla holder. We finished up our meal with a cappuccino & the chocolate mousse! It was more fudgy than I expected but it was complimented with some delicious peanut ice cream! The service was amazing also, the servers were tentative to everything we needed and also provided my friend with an English menu. They always made sure to clear our plates and make sure we were doing alright. Can't wait to come back and try more! The only thing I wish they had was to go containers. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our mouths luckily the server was able to wrap up our food in foil so we can enjoy the leftovers at the hotel! Don't even thinking to visit this place the entire staff is so rude since you make the reservation... you have to made it with 3 or 4 days before and even doing that when you arrive they say to you that you're name is not on the list and when you try it to contact them they don't resolve the problem ... security guys are awful too .. seems like discrimination place ... there are many other places around the area better than that don't visit this place read more

I'd skip this one. Drinks are extremely watered down. Bathrooms are nasty. Staff is ambivalent and slow as molasses. Furniture wreaks of cigarette smoke and is complete wrecked by weather and cigarette burns. I suspect it looks better at night but knowing what it looks like in sunlight (god forbid black light :-) and the crap quality of the drinks. Stay far far away. Mexico City needs roof bars. Once you arrive and pass 2 security checkpoints ,you go up in the elevator , doors open and good music welcomes you. So far so good. We stopped by here on a Friday night after a recommendation from some of my friends in Mexico City. When we got there, they mentioned reservations only, but I talked my way into getting in as long as "we provided a good tip." When we got up to the patio, they seated us closer to the inside and it was surprisingly warm and uncomfortable for a rooftop. We ended up ordering 2 rounds of Mezcal and 2 rounds of beer. The place was SUPER expensive for Mexico City and upon receiving the check, the waiter bartered for the tip I was giving her. She wasn't happy with what I said initially and asked for more. Given that the place was super stuffy and already expensive, this was very shocking for me. Please do yourself a favor and do not visit this place. It's nothing exciting, very overpriced, and the behavior after we received the bill is unacceptable. read more

I had a ridiculous experience. Show up around 3:30 for a cocktail before plans later than afternoon. Waited about 5-10 minutes downstairs, only to go upstairs to an empty business: there were NO customers. There were like 20 staff members huddled close to the kitchen door. We asked to be seated outside but with shade and pointed at a table. We were told it was reserved and they sat us next to it. A waiters comes over and ask what we're having. We asked for a cocktail list (assuming they'd have one because of the venue). He said they didn't have one! They still had to print menus!! So as we ask for a minute to think about what we're going to drink, a lady (who might have been a supervisor) come over and tells us we have to move because they have a reservation. So they seat us inside at this point. They give us the table next to the kitchen door and the awkward staff just standing around. We asked if we could take a small seating area in the middle (had short stools and a coffee table), because the lingering staff 4ft away made it awkward...especially as the entire place was empty of customers. The girl said she was going to ask, and we ordered a basic drink. They girl then came back and said her shift manager said we could not sit there. Mind blown: there's no one sitting, no one in the restaurant but us and their 20 staff members. It was so ridiculous we had to just get up and leave. This review is based on service and the ambiance. Don't waste your time going there. It's tacky and the service is terrible. The, sorry, ugly bouncers were rude and didn't help AT ALL with the mistake the place made with our reservation. There are many rooftops in Mexico City with much better views and actual professionalism. read more

This place is horrible! I would give it zero stars and would NOT recommend it to anyone. We booked a table weeks ago for their New Year's Eve party and then confirmed our reservation a week before. We even asked to change the time of our reservation the day of the event and the restaurant responded that it would be fine. When we got there that night for our reservation, we were told at the front desk that we never confirmed. We showed them the emails back and forth and they told us that they called us and we didn't answer. However, we never received a call. They told us to wait at the bar and we would be put on a waitlist. As we were waiting, we found out that this same situation happened to many other groups, which made the bar area very crowded. After waiting for over an hour for a table, we finally left. Misleading people and not honoring a reservation, ESPECIALLY ON NEW YEARS EVE, is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. There are so many other nice rooftop restaurants in the city that will treat their costumers with respect. Stay clear of this place!! read more
