This high school is the worst school. & not safe at all. This school should be shut down, I was a freshman here & I dealt with bullying for months & everytime I would report it to administration with proof nothing was ever done. Students would bring guns & knifes & nothing was ever done. I do not recommend coming to this school. The administration do not care about the students here read more

This school is honestly one of the worst I've ever experienced. They do not care about the students' safety or well-being at all. Kids are being threatened or bullied and the staff does nothing about it. The administration ignores complaints and makes excuses instead of actually helping. The environment is toxic, the teachers don't pay attention to what's really going on, and it feels like the students are left to fend for themselves. It's clear that this school only cares about appearances and not the people inside. If you care about your child's mental health or safety, DO NOT send them here. read more

Ive been in this school for about 3 years. And the flaw that this school holds is the higher power controlling everything. There is a pyramid of power in this school and the highest of the powers have found out a way to control the lower powers, or so I've heard... When i was put into this school i believed that it would hold a good education for me, which it did, for the time being. These past 2 years have been hell, to say the least. They have integrated the most ridiculous rules. Some, for example, being: only the "West Gate" is open for entry and exit. This can and has been creating a problem with the traffic as the students, getting out of school, stop the cars from moving. They have also enlisted a rule that restricts all indoor bathrooms from students. Leaving ALL SIX BATHROOMS to the teachers. Keep in mind, over 3000 students using 4 bathrooms, that don't even provide good privacy. All this falls back on the fact that the president of the school board "bought" all of the voters. read more

The administration spent $77,000 dollars on a retreat this summer, for themselves. It was supposed to be an open meeting but they went to Sedona. Then spent $22,000 dollars on catering, and spent another few thousand dollars in Tucson and the Marriott. If you want your money to go to events for the teachers and administration, and not on children, then this is is place for you!! Love how they spend our money on themselves, not the kids.... read more

Tolleson High School is unfair in how they treat their students. They are very one sided, do not consider both sides of the story. Team three teacher against one student to "ask" their side of the story. When asked for information on what their process is, I was ignored and my request was disregarded. The administrative staff is rude and treats parents as if they are the problem as well. They look at their students as funding and do not take action in to helping their students learn. I do not recommend this school to any parents that are considering sending their children to Tolleson Union High School. read more

The school in general is not bad. The real only problem I had was 1 teacher. The Spanish teacher. One in particular. I won't say the name but let me tell you all about him. All he did was sit in his chair and give us a list of Spanish words and had us do the rest. Honestly he isn't a teacher, he is a chair potato person at this school. I didn't learn a thing and I really wanted to learn some Spanish, but apparently not. All we would do each week is the same thing over and over again, but with different words. The only time he got up was to explain sometime you have to do with certain words. I honestly don't remember. He didn't even explain it he just told us about it. The only great part about this class was the friends I made. They were honestly the ones who helped me through this class. We had to teach ourselves and that didn't work. We had to become the teacher our self and had to go from there. He gets mad at us because we didn't do our work, but we don't even know how to do it. The only thing I got from this class was how to cheat and how to work with friends to get something done. My best friend in this class was Google Translate. If you get this teacher I wish you the best of luck. read more

I am a senior in this school for the school year 2019-2020 and I have an early release schedule. Today is advisory day along with Monday since it's the first day of school. Anyways I tried leaving when they opened the gate because I have no reason to stay on campus anymore, lunch isn't a class requirement to stay. As I was starting to walk out these two securities came out of nowhere and told me to go back on campus. I showed them my schedule but they honestly didn't give a damn and told me to go back. I repeatedly said "One of your security guards let me out yesterday because he told me it's fine to leave at that time, I have no other class to take". They were extremely rude and I just walked into the office. Other students were there at the scene who also had early release and it is extremely unfair. They acted as they were high class workers and think they were doing the right things. I even told the office workers about how they behaved and thought it was ridiculous and obviously I have the choice to leave. This year is my last year and I am blessed that I'll never come back here again. read more
