We had 4 quotes for our new front door and new sliding glass door. Tom Adams wasn't the cheapest, but they weren't the most expensive either. We loved that they sold Provia doors and the purchasing process could not have been smoother! BobbiJo was professional and very helpful when selecting colors and styles! Easy to get in touch with her and understanding when we wanted to make a change after the original meeting. The 2 men who installed the doors were very professional and efficient. Their customer service is awesome as well--they came out to make a very minor adjustment a few days after insane are coming back in a month again to ensure everything is working properly. We are already having them do another job on the exterior of our home and have recommended them to multiple family members and friends!!! read more

We had all our windows replaced in our home by Tom Adams 7 yrs ago and found the service and follow up to be fantastic. They did a great job then and even on a few service issues we had did great. Over month and half ago we asked them for a quote to put in a transom window and two small block type windows. Pat Maloney cam out too all the info and that was basically the last we ever heard from him. We called after 4 weeks to follow up and nothing finally got a call back from him and said he would have estimate to us the next day. That was 2 weeks ago. I followed up again and he does not call back. I follow up again and he calls back to say he will not quote the work. I needed to replace all of my builder installed windows because after 18 years I was having difficulty opening, closing and locking almost every window. I went to Tom Adams because I had consulted with them about those windows. Someone came out, looked at the issue and gave me suggestions for fixing the issue. No hard core sales tactics, so when I made the decision to replace the window, they were the first company I considered and didn't even consult anyone else. The experience from estimate to installation was seamless. Everyone I met or dealt with were professional and helpful. There was only one issue, they had to come back and remeasure but everything else went off without a hitch. There was a long wait to get them (like everything else since Covid), but the windows were custom made (in the USA I might add) and I was willing to wait for them. The installers came on the date promised and on time! Bernard Sr, Bernard Jr and Tim worked together as a fine oiled team to get the windows installed in one day (11 windows)! I hardly knew they were there they worked so well together, with everyone doing their part to get it done in that period of time. I was impressed. They left the job clean and tidy. Once again this company does not do what they say. Rescheduled many times with no result. They showed up today without the 30 min call prior to arrival they promised. I work nights and they gave me a window of time so I was sleeping and waiting on the call to get up and put my cats away so they could put up my doors. Neither man spoke English so after I secured my cats I tried to use a translate app. They got a call and drove away... maybe by winter I will get my screen doors installed! I recently had to purchase a new front door. I went to Tom Adams showroom and was very impressed with the amount of doors for me to see and choose from. Robert Barufkin assisted us with our selection and was even able to show on the computer actual doors in the finishes we wanted with everything there. The door took a while to come in but the installers just left and Gerald the lead installer was wonderful and a perfectionist in ensuring that we were happy with the finished product. I contacted Tom Adams for pricing on vinyl replacement shutters. The salesman visited my home and provided a quote of $2,000 for 12 pair installed. He suggested we increase the width of our shutters to 14-1/2 from our current 12 inch width, which I thought sounded terrific. When we arrived at the store to choose our color we were cautioned to avoid custom colors as they cost significantly more. I took the keyring with 12-15 tiny shutters home to color match, thinking there couldn't possibly be a custom color there. When we returned with our choice we were told that, in fact, number 010 Musket Brown was a custom color. Since this increased our cost to over $4,000 (based upon calculations the salesman spouted that even I, a math whiz, couldn't follow) we left without ordering. After checking online I was able to locate the company who manufactured the vinyl shutters. I placed an order for color samples, and several tiny shutters arrived in the mail. Color 010 Musket Brown cost no more than any other color. When we measured our shutters it became very clear that we could not increase to the 14-1/2 width the salesman suggested given the angle of the roof in one area. This is not something that could easily have been worked around, and I suspect it was not even noticed by the salesman. We ordered our shutters directly for a total cost of $624.00. I was happy to pay Tom Adams $2,000 for the convenience of having expert installation, but I feel there was a bit of a 'bait and switch' when the price suddenly doubled based upon my chosen shade. I have had similar experiences with Tom Adams in the past. I won't be going back. read more

Door is in area where it doesn't get wet, and as a storm door shouldn't it be able to take water? I called them n they told me they would have the company contact me and give me the phone number. Had double pane windows installed in 1998 for whole house. Windows arrived in February of that year and installers tore out old windows to replace them and then discovered that EVERY window was measured incorrectly. Weeks later we did get the proper windows installed and got what we understood to be a life time guarantee for the windows. Our upstairs bathroom window imploded last week and we notified Tom Adams windows about it and asked them to replace it. Surprise, we were told that because the manufacturer of THE GLASS was out of business, our guarantee from TOM ADAMS wasnt worth the paper it was printed on. We were then quoted a price of 320 dollars to replace a window about 12 by 20 inches. To say that I feel the company is slimy and shady would be a drastic understatement. I have since warned every person I can in person and social media about this company. I can only hope that in some way, it will end up costing them money in the long run. If Tom Adams cares to respond, please do so. read more

Using Tom Adams for flooring was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a contractor. They used cheap subcontractors that didn't know what they were doing and subsequently covered our house in dust and debris, completely damaged the new flooring they installed, and damaged our fridge, storm door, lawn light, wall, and more. I called them multiple times during the installation to tell them their crew was damaging our home and flooring, and they ignored me and told me to let them continue. It took them 2 weeks after installation just to send any kind of response to my list of complaints only after I bugged them repeatedly. It took 8 weeks of arguing with them for them to finally send a new crew to rip up and replace the entire floor and agree to fix the damages. It took another 3.5 weeks for them to repair the storm door (during which they ruined the weather stripping) all the while hassling me about getting paid. They forced me into a made up payment plan that was not discussed prior or part of the contract by threatening not to honor the warranty. The floor still is not really leveled to the right specs for the product they installed. They took $600 off the price which wasn't nearly enough to cover the close to $1,000 of obvious damages not to mention unseen damages due to the debris that contaminated our electronics, HVAC, appliances, etc. They should be embarrassed that it took nearly 12 weeks long to complete what was supposed to be a 1 day job, and even after that long they still couldn't get it right. read more

Let me start off by saying all was great up until the time of install. Spent almost $4000 on carpet and vinyl floors that were priced higher than competition thinking I would receive better service. In actuality here is what I received: 1) Scratched vinyl flooring. Not a few scratches - over 40. 2) Marks all over my freshly painted walls and ceilings when carrying in product. 3) Workers walking up and down my brand new carpeted stairs with dirty boots. 4) Replacement of scratched planks after 10 day wait and on reinstall left areas of spacing and flooring color that now lacks cohesiveness. 5) No extra flooring that was leftover in the boxes that I paid for. 6) A really dirty vinyl floor that has scuff marks from dirty boots. 6) An apology after I had to request one. Buyer Beware! We've had the absolute WORST experience in both pre and post sale with Tom Adams. Let me preface this by saying, our builder uses Tom Adams as a subcontractor for his new homes, we did not choose to work with them and after this experience we never would. Our issues started in pre-sale. My husband and I went in to the showroom in Whitehall to upgrade our tile and grout. The sales person allowed us to just pull samples off the floor, never once providing any opinion or guidance with design. As first time home buyers and decorators, it would have been MUCH appreciated to have some help while selecting our tiles. It's very hard to see big picture with such small pieces. My husband and I struggled to make the selections, visiting the show room 3 times before nailing down the design which the sales rep had to have someone from the home office help us with as he was not capable of doing so himself. The same sales person also tried to double charge us for the products that our builder provided us standard (like backer boards). If we would have not asked the sales rep to line item our upgrades, we would have paid almost $2K more for them! Additionally, the sales person got us to upgrade our grout so we wouldn't have to seal the product on our own when we moved in. What a scam! Tom Adams has already been to our home TWICE in two weeks to fix the 'upgraded' grout that is pulling up from our shower floor. As a point of reference, we've only lived there 3 weeks and are having them out AGAIN to fix this issue as it was not resolved the first two times. Finally, the customer service rep for Tom Adams is horrendous. I had to fight to get them to come back out at a time that was convenient for my husband and I as they only service Monday-Friday during normal business hours. Their expectation is that you stay home to have them come. Not so easy to do when you work a full time job. And, to top off our master shower issues, we've found holes in our hardwood floors. They'll need to fix these as well. I would NEVER recommend anyone using this store. We've had one bad experience after another and have only been home owners for 3 weeks. read more

Buyer beware! Following water damage to about 100 sq. ft. of glued down engineered hardwood we were advised by our insurance company to contact Tom Adams since they were the initial installers used by our builder less than 2 years prior. They ripped up the damaged wood then told us that the wood they received from Mannington was thicker than the original and Mannington was locating the previous lot but there would be a 1-2 week delay. When they returned to install I noticed with the 1st board that the finish did not match with the surrounding wood. The installer said that Manningtom puts a protective finish on the wood and when I clean the floor it would all match. So I let him continue to complete the installation. When I cleaned the floor the finish did not change. This replacement is in the entrance so as soon as you walk in the front door there is a large area distinctly different from the surrounding floor. Unacceptable!! We called the office and was told that I signed a paper stating that the wood may not be a perfect match. I reminded her that before signing it I called and spoke with her about my concern. She replied that since our floor had a shaded appearance the installer would arrange the boards to blend it. Nothing was ever discussed about the sheen difference. My husband contacted Mannington in an effort to see if they had a resolution to our problem and found out 2 things: 1- Manningtom did not change the thickness of the boards and 2- they have never applied a protective coating that would remove with cleaning. So now we know that they lied twice. We called 4 additional times and coincidently she was never in the office but would return our call - this never happened. We sent an email to the owner explaining our issues and asked that he contact us to discuss...this never happened either. We returned to our insurance company who agreed that the job Tom Adams did was not acceptable. We had to have the entire 1st floor of 1500 sq. ft. removed and replaced costing the insurance company over $31,000.00 and us another $1000.00. (The reason it had to be fully replaced in lieu of sanding and refinishing was because the way it was installed the edges were raised in so many places that sanding would take it below the wood grain surface). After the lies and unresponsiveness I would never return or refer Tom Adams. Our new floor was completed by Barb-Lin in Doylestown who I would highly recommend. read more

Hence the lifetime warranty turned into as long as the manufacturer THEY chose to work with stays in business. Stuck with broken windows. Ridiculous. Ordered a front door and patio door '20 was told it would take 8-10 weeks. The earliest date was finally made 11 weeks for install. Two guys showed up. One young, one older, neither wearing masks. The young one said they would wear masks when working inside. I never saw him inside and he left after a few hours. The older man was here until 8-9 pm (started at 10am) was inside a lot of the time and NEVER WORE a mask. He didn't speak a word of english, literally he communicated with gestures. If I hadn't pointed it out, I don't think he even would have noticed the lock didn't lign up on the front door. As it was he left us with a door that if not locked blows open with very little breeze. It took them a month to come back. We found out then that the door was installed incorrectly and we need to wait again (couldn't make appointment at time of visit) for special screws for our heavy glass door. They said they wished the manufacturers of our patio door did a better job making cleaner cuts/cleaning of the vinyl. Will just have to live with the mess the little shaving make/noise it makes every time we close the door. I am completely unsatisfied with the service and the quality control of our patio door. Will not use them ever again. read more

You could tell they have been working with each other for 15 years. They anticipated each others moves. It was impressive to watch them work. First and last time buyer at Tom Adams! The salesman, Ken was very helpful and worked with me to find carpet and flooring. After placing my order and paying the deposit everything went downhill fast! I received a call to pay the balance on the order before any work began. I paid the balance in full. After several conflicting phone calls, I received a call that workman would arrive at my home between 8:30a.m. and 9:00a.m., three workmen arrived at 10:30a.m., and shortly after they arrived one of the workman's girlfriend/wife drove into our driveway and stayed for a half an hour, work was delayed for that half hour. The installers brought the wrong flooring and installed it. The flooring had to be removed two days later and the correct flooring installed. While installing the carpeting(which was the correct product) and the wrong flooring, our newly, professionally installed woodwork and professionally newly painted walls and ceilings in both rooms that carpet/floors were installed by Tom Adams crew, became marked up from the installers hitting the ceiling and walls with rolls of carpet/flooring and tools. We had 50 marks on the walls in two rooms, that were to be removed by the Tom Adams rep, never heard back from him! While the installers moved an antique piece of furniture with keyed doors, they bent the key in the door, requiring us to have a new key made in order to open the doors. Because we did not want Tom Adams crews back in our home, we personally paid to have a professional take care of the marked up walls, damaged woodwork and key replacement costs. Within the Tom Adams company there are MAJOR communication issues, LACK of professional training, and the company management/ownership clearly does not know what good customer service entails and what is happening in their own business. read more

I ordered 12 replacement windows from Tom Adams. All came with a "Lifetime Warranty" for replacement for defects. All 12 windows failed and have had to be replaced. At first the windows were replaced free of charge, but my last 4 windows have recently failed (seals fail and turns windows smoky on the inside). When I called I was told it would cost $600 to replace the windows and that they are guaranteed for only 1 year. If you, as a company sell something to a customer with a Lifetime Warranty you should honor that warranty, no matter what happens to the supplier. You sold the windows to me with a promise that they had a Lifetime Warranty and you should stand behind your word. I will never buy anything again from Tom Adams and I tell everyone I know not to use or trust this company. read more

The staff at Tom Adams was very patient with my husband and I as we went through the flooring options for our home. This was the first big project we were undertaking in our 80 year old Home and we went back and forth on carpet or hardwood and all the options in between. Through it all, Rob, our sales guy was there to answer our questions and give us honest answers on what would work and what wouldn't. Because our home is older and have a rod iron railing that goes down the second floor hallway and down the stairs, we had concerns about moving the piece which is what we would have had to do with hardwood. After the was eliminated as an option, Rob helped us figure out what was best for us. We ended up picking two carpets from their rements warehouse for two bedrooms and a hallway and we are so pleased. The installers did show up later than we expected but they finished the job in record time, thoroughly cleaned after the install, and the carpets look great! I ordered a storm door around the 22nd. of April. I was told how wonderful the Pro Via door was and decided to purchase and have them install it for $690.00 what a mistake. It has been "nineteen" weeks and finally after a missed appointment by Tom Adams, then as a last minute installed four days later at the end of the day then visits to correct the first install,with so many phone calls they final installed it correctly. I missed work three times and I do not get paid if I am required to be present as they continue their circus act to correct the blotched workmanship, this door has cost me well over a thousand dollars, Oh ! they did compensate me $50.00 like pulling teeth. I would in no way recommend "Tom Adams" to anyone, a sorry business to deal with in so many ways. Sub contractor, who cares the visa deposit and check was made out to Tom Adams which they had no trouble cashing. Add me to the list of a one star rating. read more
