(Some day I will get a Dyson cyclone like they have in the ads, some day!). Anyway, I spent so long looking for this damn Hoover bag, while I waited I was scooping months worth of fluff and dust and hairs out of the old Hoover bag so I could reuse it. Then I wandered in to Dundrum service centre and there it was, the Hoover bag that I needed was there waiting for me to buy it! Brilliant! So if you're looking for an elusive Hoover bag this is the shop for you, it's only a wee little shop, you might miss it but as my mom always told me "good goods come in small packages"! By the way, I have realised that I have called my "vacuum cleaner" a Hoover the whole time, that's just what we call them in Ireland, every make of vacuum cleaner imaginable is just called a Hoover, and I don't think it will ever change! Oh and I should have said that this shop do other things, like repairing things like Hoovers and the like! Not sure how good they are at that cause I have never used them for anything other than Hoover bag supply so you will have to test that bit out yourself!

We had a major clear out from the house and managed to sell loads of unwanted (and some much loved) items which have now found new homes. Surprisingly easy to accomplish. Went on line registered and arrived on site, paid €20 on the gate popped up a couple of paste tables and before we had the car emptied had sold 12 items. The only pain was some over zealous buyers sticking their noses into the boot before we had a chance to get organised. That said it was a great opportunity to convert goods into cash, while at the same time teaching the kids the value of money (they sold their own items) and with any luck they will think a little longer about spending the proceeds then they do their mums weekly contribution to their fund raising antics (Pocket Money) I was advised before venturing out by my brother in law who introduced me to the car boot craze to be aware of thieves and other undesirables and their tendency to consider the event as a large scale giveaway organised for their convenience. I did not personally experience such activity but spoke to fellow booters that have been robbed at car boot fairs, the guys managing this venue appeared to have a good handle on the issue and on several occasions were asking (I assume known offenders) to ply their trade elsewhere. All in all a positive experience and one I intend to repeat.
