Tom was great from the start to when I closed the sale of the house. I meet him at my house and he went over all the things I could do to help sell the house. From pointing out repairs and giving me the names of people that could do the work for me. If I had any questions (and I did) he would give me a straight answer. He showed the house to a number of people and after each showing Tom would get back to me and let me know what the people liked and disliked about the property. This helped for setting the price so the house would sell. He was there for me every step in the process of selling the house. This review is long overdue. I still get emails from Tom which is what reminded me to write a review for him. By long overdue, I mean 3 years! I was looking for a home in Buckeye in mid 2015, and Tom was incredibly patient with my ever-changing tastes and requirements. Buckeye is NOT close to Tom's home base, but he met me out in Buckeye on several occasions to help me look for homes. Always friendly. Always informed. Always on time. Tom impressed us from the moment we first spoke with him. He's extremely professional, very respectful, and doesn't beat around the bush. We met with Tom while interviewing numerous agents to sell our Ahwatukee home. Tom was the ONLY agent that we didn't immediately get that "sleazy car salesman" feeling from. Tom wasn't pushy, and didn't make impossible promises. He simply gave us the facts about the market, and what those facts could mean for us. After selecting Tom to represent us in the sale of our house, he upheld his promise to keep us in the loop, have his team take beautiful pictures of our home, market our home on all channels which made sense for us, and work day and night to tie up every loose end. Even upon encountering last-minute issues with the home after we had moved out of state (a water leak from one of the A/C units caused by a clogged drain pipe), Tom provided us with direction on how to properly move forward, visited the house to dry up the water, turn on a fan (which he purchased on his own, and never asked for reimbursement), and saw to it that the repair professionals completed the maintenance thoroughly and properly prior to closing the sale. It's made clear by the other Yelp reviews left for Tom that our experience was not unique. We were first time home buyers and we had no idea what the process was to buy a house. We found a house that my wife and I really liked so I called the listing agent to see the house. I didn't know that the listing agent would be my realtor. I wanted someone who would have my best interest in mind so I called Tom on the same day as my viewing appointment to see the house. Tom was great he said ok I'll meet you there. He said I had to call the listing agent and inform her that I have my own realtor now. When I called the listing agent she wasn't very happy at all. She got very upset and said she was going to give her clients first dibs on the house before me since I canceled our appointment. ** Realtors get double commission if they sell the house they list** That is why she got so upset with me. I called Tom back and told him what happened and assured me everything was going to be ok and he would call her and calm things down. He called her and took care of things and informed her what she told me was not legal and she could loose her license. We got an appointment for a later time. I have to say Tom is very good at what he does. He puts his clients first and informed me on every step of the process. He knows the laws and is great at explaining things.
