My experience interacting with this court-appointed Guardian ad Litem raised concerns regarding communication, timeliness, and billing transparency. There were delays in scheduling, including a significantly delayed initial interview despite prior confirmation, and communication often required follow-up to obtain basic responses.
The billing included multiple instances of block billing and large, non-itemized time entries, which made it difficult to meaningfully assess the reasonableness of the services provided.
There were also inconsistencies between statements made during the case and the final recommendations. In one incident, Father was characterized as the aggressor; however, the documented legal outcome from that same incident resulted in the other individual being charged with disorderly conduct. This discrepancy raised concerns regarding how that situation--and the children's best interests--were evaluated.
As a Guardian ad Litem--rather than legal counsel for either party--this role requires an independent, objective evaluation. Based on my experience, the issues above raised concerns regarding the consistency, accuracy, and reliability of the conclusions reached. read more
