They gave me the best quote of the 4 I sought and when the day came they had all the right equipment and personnel. In what seemed no time, those men had my tree down and all the evidence of its existence in a truck being hauled somewhere. I' once used them to clean up many substantial downed branches and things after a mini-tornado. Not only was the service impeccable, but what I really appreciated was their quote. Other contractors were gouging but they gave me a fair price that was better than everybody else's Another job they did, also the biggest job they did for me included taking out a massive 60-year old Oak, and various bushes and trees that ran along 3 sides of my yard. This large job took the entire day but they cleared every bush and stumped every root well into the evening until the job was done. (before and after pics attached) Through all of this, the business owners have been incredibly easy to deal with. I just called and stated what I needed done and they either came out for a quote or gave me one over them phone. I've also recommended them to two family members that went on to hire them and both were immensely pleased. I have had two joint replacement surgeries in the last 9 months so I needed help. I don't know what their landscape design skills are because I had already decided what plants I wanted. I picked up plants from 2 nurseries. Saved him time and me money. ( It is later in the year and I had a hard time finding everything at one.) He suggested Hinsdale Nursery whose size of shrubs were amazing. Also had luck at Wasco in St. Charles. I placed where I wanted them and J&C had everything planted and mulched in half a day. They also removed 3 older (large) shrubs. They are VERY hard workers and Javier couldn't be nicer to work with. Always wants to make sure the customer is happy with the job. Responds by text within very reasonable amount of time (you need to consider the day and time you are texting as he is doing work also). Nice weather the first time (in 70's) This second project is re-grading a path and laying stepping stones. Also adding sod where necessary and blending with the other lawn in the area that is not being replaced. The weather is horribly hot and humid (in the 90's) and they are doing a great job. I would definitely use them again. Highly recommend.

They scheduled an appointment in-person to look at the tree and agree on what should be trimmed. The owner (whose nickname I believe is Meca) also pointed out some dead branches that should be removed. I had to follow up to schedule the service but once they came out it was done quickly and as agreed upon. They cleaned up all the debris and followed up with me to see if I had had a chance to see the trimmed tree. Considering the size of the tree and other quotes, I found their price to be reasonable. I had to put 10% down and paid the rest after the work was completed. I would use them again.

They were fast and did good work, I was happy with what I received for the price. That said, I did have an issue - communication. This is a relatively small thing considering the job came out almost perfectly, and that is why the review is 5 stars anyways, this is not a reason to not use the company, it's advice to the company on how to improve further. I struggled to understand the main gentleman's English (and I don't speak Spanish), I always feel bad and try my best, but it was a struggle for me. There was another guy who spoke pretty clearly and was clearly bilingual who came up later, and he was easier for me to understand, less accent, spoke more clearly/loudly. I don't think anything bad should happen to the main gentleman who was spearheading the communications, I am very satisfied with basically everything, I just wanted to clarify about how I wasn't sure I was understood or that I was understanding him at times. At one point I was second-guessing if he understood what I wanted done... I did actually go outside and check to make sure they weren't cutting the entire trees down instead of doing the planned reduction due to a misunderstanding. That's a concern you can avoid customers having by improving verbal communication, and potentially adding some written communication at the front of the service (it was a pre-existing quote, the quote had multiple prices/quotes on it. It only came out at the end, and i had to supply it as the customer). There was a very small disagreement about one tree limb at the end that was still kind of overhanging the house. They decided it was healthy and didn't need to be cut, but frankly it's a branch and leaves that will distribute themselves right over my house and into my gutter. It's by far the closest remaining branch and will probably be the first limb to cause me to need to get my trees trimmed next time. By the time it came up at the end, all the equipment was packed and most of the guys were not around, so the limb was left on. I felt like I was told that they were going to do a "looks good" with me before we called it quits, but I guess this was maybe slightly miscommunicated..
