We were vacationing with family and needed ingredients for a Thai dinner. I was worried about finding gluten-free friendly sauces, but Tomi Mart had everything we needed! The store was clean, organized, and easy to shop. We also found adorable Thai books for our toddler. Great selection of sauces, ramen, candy, books, and more. Unique Asian market offering that is much needed in Bend! Love the variety and choices of Japanese food and drink you don't find anywhere else in the city. Only downside and reason why this is 4 star not 5 rating, is the Matcha tea I bought expired months ago (best by date was in June, and we are in October). Unfortunately, this was discovered after I purchased said item and open the bag. So shoppers look for the dates on whatever you are wanting to purchase. Hopefully the market can find a system to check expiration dates for all goods on regular basis, and remove those from the sales floor. read more

This market is pretty great. When I first stumbled upon this place I though it was a place for instant ramen, more like a ramen shop. The art on the outside doesn't make you think you're walking into an Asian supermarket. It's very artistic. However, when I actually made my way in I was pleasantly surprised to find a very clean and well stocked little store. It's definitely not your typical Ranch 99 or H-Mart but it serves it purpose for this community. The owners put in a lot of thought about the items they have available. Each aisle has items you can find in Asian homes along with items popular on social media platforms. The "insta-influencer" recipes as I like to call it. The prices are both affordable and pricey depending on what is considered a commodity. I think it's very fair. Also, the produce is fresh. I felt very welcomed every time I walked in because the staff is friendly, patient and knowledgeable. There is a lot of heart curated in this spot and I can't wait to see the ongoing evolution of it. If you're near Fred Meyers or the Reed Market area I highly recommend checking this place out. Give them some love. read more

Lot's of Asian choices from rice to different rice noodles. Lot's sauces for Asian dishes you may want to cook. The market has the following foods Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, some American food items too. The service was good and the staff is welcoming and friendly. Though not my first visit, I went to Tomi Mart yesterday in search of specialty ingredients for a Panang Curry recipe, and also for shrimp chips that my daughter wanted. Tomi Mart came through with a great selection including Maesri curry paste, shrimp paste, galangal root and Thai basil leaves (none of which are likely available elsewhere in Bend) and the shrimp chips for my daughter. Service from the cashier was great, and they even had a sample of hard candy that my daughter enjoyed. It is great to have a specialty Asian food market in Bend! read more

I love this little Asian Mart im 1/2 Japanese and have been waiting so long for something to open local,For years I drove to Beaverton for Japanese grocerys every 3 months. Now they carry just the items I need so no more driving. The owner and Clerks have always been very friendly since the day they have opened. Ive asked for special orders and the owner made good on her promise to make that available for me. I've lived in Bend for decades and have been long-mystified by the absence of an Asian grocery store. Toni Mart finally fills that hole! They're located in the mall behind Verizon at 3rd and Reed Market, between the Dang's and Okawa restaurants. It is a bright, cheerfully lit place. Take note of the Thousand Cranes (folded by community members) at the front door. They have a nice assortment of Asian snacks, including the elusive Japanese special Kit Kats. Shrimp chips, spicy potato chips, rice crackers, dried squid, and a lovely assortment of mochi -- black sesame and mango! Cold foods are a special treat, with fish cake, fish balls, several types of firm and soft tofu, gyoza, and various types of wrappers and bao. If you're looking for noodles, this is the place. You'll find a large assortment of soba, Chinese noodles, ramen, and even a variety of soup bases to mix and match. And sauces and mixes -- hot crunchy chili sauces, special soy sauces (look for the Wild Mushroom Soy!), Indian curries, Singaporean mixes, and different oils. A small but promising selection of produce makes me optimistic for the future. Gai lan, Thai basil, galangal, lemongrass have started things off. I look forward to this expanding further. This fully fledged Asian grocery store locally owned and operated recently opened in Bend with a focus on Japanese products but also includes other Asian products as well. The staff is super friendly and passionate about helping you find products you need and for which you have been looking. The store makes you feel like you've been transported to Japan and the ambiance is bright and welcoming. The shelves have quite a variety of both staple goods and new items to try. There are both stocked freezer and refrigerated items, including a small produce section. Some stationery and kitchen items are also available. Products from small owner businesses are thoughtfully and accessibly placed. There's a fun ramen wall where you can make your own instant ramen with toppings and a small play checkout stand will help entertain any young shoppers you may have with you! Bend has needed this for a long time. It's a nice little store with a pretty decent variety of Asian food products. I like the Wall-O-Ramen where you can make and season your very own bowl of instant noodles. Very nice people who let us in a few minutes early just to check the place out. Having come from the Portland area, I was used to Uwajimaya.... Tomi Mart isn't that, but it is certainly a welcome addition to Bend. I was making Korean Bbq and was able to find many of the essential ingredients that were otherwise unavailable. They were extremely helpful, taking me through the entire store and recommending ingredients! Maybe if the Bend home cooking palate trends to more Asian cuisine, they can grow the market accordingly. The selection is very limited but ok, not the asian store that I would go weekly. What stood out the most when I went on their grand opening day is that the girl cashier was not friendly, I felt our support was not needed. 2 star for beautiful decor on the ceiling. read more
