The store isn't as big as the Melbourne one though but still offers two levels. One level is the ladies clothing and the second level is split between kids and men's. They aren't offering homewares like the Melbourne store does. They have some good options for men and the quality is better then what you are going to get for a similar price in the likes of Cotton On. I stocked up on some much needed items to get me through the winter months. Overall the store is a miniature version of what H&M offers and they are due to have a CBD store at the end of 2015 which will be a similar size to the Melbourne GPO store.

Maybe I've just been spoiled by the giant flagship San Fransisco store which has the world's biggest mens section (men: the forgotten sex, who get about 1/10th the fashion women normally do), and there's some pretty schweet new athletic range, but what I really wanted was the experimental range, the avant-garde stuff with long asymmetrical T's, zips in weird places, stretched necks, all that kind of thing. And the nicer suit-y garb, the wool jackets and cream suits and such. But most of it is like a glorified Cotton On, sadly. And where's the big homewares section that Melbourne gets?! The clothes have such a strong and distinctive sense of style and are beautifully made. At least unlike other high price fashion ranges, Hugo's clothes are of a level of quality that will last a long time and have a sense of style which will not go out of fashion after a season. I feel a little awkward in the Hugo Boss shop, going in I know it is beyond my price range and the shop feels so high end, I feel like I shouldn't really be here. I don't like wearing suits, but if I had a Hugo Boss suit I would be happy to wear it. I would love to own a Boss jacket or Jeans, maybe one day. It's nice to have a dream.

The designs have got that UK mod look but not too ostentatious. The shirts are quite fitted and suited my boy perfectly. It's hard to find the right shirt so I was glad to see a Jack London store in World Square, Sydney. They use good quality materials and make hot suits, sturdy winter jackets and some comfy cardy's for the chillier months. They have great sales on at the moment where you can get 60% off and I will be interested to see their Summer range.

Some of their items are nice and made with suede, cotton, rarely 100% wool, however, unfortunately they use a lot of crappy synthetic fabrics. Their clothing is not environmentally friendly and does not back up the mindset of the cool retro clothes that they try and imitate poorly. Usually after a couple of wears or a single wash their clothing starts to look really cheap and shabby even after a single dry clean bubbles have appeared in a jack London suit I had. Looked good for one minute.

I purchased a suit that fit extremely well and it was purchased at a very reasonable price. The store is organized very well and they have very good choices for the well-dressed guy. One thing that really impressed me was the customer service - it was fantastic! A very nice woman helped with getting the correct sizes and she was extremely knowledgeable, patient and seemed to really care. She even offered the arrangement of the alteration so I could have everything ready the following day - that was great! This was a bit more of an upscale store (from an American perspective in pricing), but it was well worth it since I left I very satisfied customer.

The selection is large and the staff is helpful. I popped in the other day as I was killing time and had a nice little chat with the girl behind the counter as I was trying on rings. They have a lot of those big ones that go on multiple fingers at once. Roses, guns, skulls... and the like. The clothing certainly caters to a certain "type." Punk, emo, goth, or rockabilly peeps will have a field day in here. But not exclusively. I enjoy the accessories immensely and I don't really fall into any of those categories. One doesn't need to be totally punk rock to rock a polka dotted scarf or a pair of studded earrings. If you're looking for a swing dress, they have the same style over and over again in different colors and prints. Most are A-line and fit for sitting on an old Thunderbird, wearing bright red lipstick and drinking a malted milkshake. The dresses are all around $80, which feels steep for the quality, so I usually steer myself away.

I called into the Bondi Junction store to have a look see. The problem is although they often have some clothes, which I like, for the level of quality they offer their clothes are way overpriced. I look after my clothes and if I buy something I like then I want it to last. Whenever I go to Dangerfield I think to myself why bother as I am only setting myself up for disappointment. Many of the clothes they sell, seem to be virtually disposable and if they were really cheap I would be okay with this, but that is not the case. What they do have going for them is accessories, which are here, there and everywhere throughout the shop, and some of them are really cool and more enticing than the clothes, So I would be more inclined to shop there for something to accompany my outfit rather than the outfit itself.

I find their clothes a bit hit and miss, but that's ok, because at least they are willing to sometimes push the envelope in what they sell and when you do this you're walking a fine line of what people will and won't like and what will suit different people's tastes. These days Premonition's clothes are leaning towards chic and for the most part it works, it's a bit of a shame though that the designs aren't as funkily experimental as they once were. Their clothes are on the expensive side, but they also do really good sales so I suppose it all balances out.
