A great location, good food and friendly service. My reasoning for a missing star was due to the lack of actual calamari as it was mostly vegetables. And for the price, 4 stars. We had the fried calamari, the tortilla soup that was very flavorful and the salmon salad. The salmon salad came with the skin on the bottom, so you might ask for it to be removed prior if it's not your thing. read more

I am a consistent shopper of this product line, but I am a return customer because of how well I get treated by the staff. The product line takes some detective work to find not only the best quality in their line, but what looks and feels right. Both Holly and Ruthann did this for me, helping me to identify what they liked for me along with my tastes. I enjoyed the feedback and the suggestions that Ruthann made, for many times someone will tell me "everything" looks good, when that truly is not the case. Authenticity is important to me and that's the service I got, along with the kindness and warmth that you expect at a Tommy Bahamas store. I shop at the Tommy Bahama Kierland store A LOT and like it very much. This store at Fashion Square is nothing like the Kierland store. The selection is limited, probably because the store is so small. My biggest problem, and the reason I usually walk out of the store steaming mad, is the staff at this store who 1) don't know the product at all so can't answer questions, 2) don't know the store's systems so it takes forever for them to get a transaction right, but 3) do fit right in with the rest of the store clerks at Fashion Square who wouldn't know what the word Service means if it were served to them on a silver tray (Nordstrom excluded). Most recently I and my 86 year old relative were humiliated by the store manager of all people when my elderly and nearly blind relative proudly showed the manager the $50 coupon we mistakenly thought was valid. At this store, in addition to product knowledge and service-orientation, tact is also not a job qualification even for the store manager. read more

I moved from Seattle, WA to Phoenix, AZ and bought over 30 pieces from Tommy Bahamas. I was new to Tommy's and in the middle of packing and ordered several items online. I returned several pieces in the WA University Village and Scottsdale Fashion Square stores and got different sizes. While in the stores, I bought additional pieces. The exact number of pieces that I kept during my 6-month buying spree was 31. Was I surprised to get a letter from Tommy Bahamas that stated they had reviewed my return history. They requested that I contact their "Loss Prevention Manager" by a stated deadline to discuss the reasons for my returns. I was terribly insulted to receive this letter. I considered myself a VIP. It is none of Tommy Bahamas business why I decided to return clothing that was too big or too small - especially since they advertised "hassle free returns" on their website. (I noticed they have since taken down that "hassle free returns" graphic.) I submitted a complaint on their Facebook page. A year later, I gave Tommy Bahamas another try and ordered a white jean jacket and pink tank top online. A week after receiving the clothing, I went into the same Scottsdale store and returned the pink tank top. (It was scratchy and overpriced for the quality.) The manager, whom I recognized from my trips to the store a year earlier, asked me to wait while she went to the back room to retrieve something. She left my credit card and pink tank top right on the counter, which was in reach of any customer who happened to pass by. When she returned, the employee handed me a sealed envelope with my name neatly handwritten on it. I looked at it and asked her what it was. She did not answer. I told her I thought it might be an apology. I decided to open it and was shocked to see that it was an exact copy of the letter Tommy Bahamas sent me a year earlier, only it had a slightly different date. The letter had been stored in Tommy's back room for over one year. I think this employee showed very poor judgement holding onto the letter that long, and then deciding to make me wait while she retrieved it, then following through with handing it to me. If you like to order things online and use your home as the dressing room, then I do not recommend Tommy Bahamas based on my experiences. read more
