The new light fixtures I asked to have installed were sticking out of the wall because the prior fixture box was not in all the way, and cement had been put around the box to cover it up. Instead of completing the installation of the new fixtures on the old poorly done box and having them stick out, we discussed it, and he suggested that he could chip out the cement, which was not a simple task, and replace the boxes with "half boxes" that I would need to purchase. In the end, he was able to put the original boxes back in properly and install the new lanterns flush with the wall. Looks really good!

My old water heater died right before Thanksgiving…read more I called home depot's emergency services and their contracted company wanted to up charge me a lot of money for the convenience to install a new water heater. I was interested in using the opportunity to upgrade to a hybrid heat pump water heater and hd's guys said I may need a second electrical panel!? Rather than bite the bullet I opened up trusty yelp and created a 2 new home projects for my water heater and the electical outlet it needed. Tony from ppe saved my day after he contacted me thru yelp. He seemed knowledgeable and was good at explaining things. He vokunteered his elecrician license information for verification. He then came thru to install the 240v outlet in my basement. While there he gave some good advice regarding electrical safety and even fixed some breakers that were inappropriately installed by a prior contractor. He was prompt and even though this all happened right before Thanksgiving, Tony was in touch with me throughout that following weekend. He got it done the following Tuesday. He was a pleasure to work with and his price was fair.

He had the best price and moved his scheduled around to accommodate my current needs (house selling, inspections, etc) He was there early and had finished by the time he was actually supposed to be there. It was a simple outlet issue and instead of charging for the outlet, he showed me that the outlet was good just needed to be rewired. He really could have ran the price up but chose to be genuine and when you have someone like that (much like a good barber or mechanic) you don't go elsewhere and you go out of your way to tell people about them.
