We've eaten here for years and had no issues, but recently we have become sick from the chicken each time we eat here. Food is typically delicious and very affordable; our family's go-to place to eat. Sadly, we will likely not be eating here again until improvements have been made. Wonderful fried chicken! Some of the best you can get! The fried okra was delightful as well. I don't feel like it's often you can get good fried okra. It's a small place, so maybe order take out versus sitting down. Other than that, this place is a great for fried chicken. read more

Despite being a fried chicken restaurant, I can't offer much in terms of personal experiences with their fried chicken, while I've heard good things about it, I always go to Tom's for the burgers. I have been to many places, traveling for work and otherwise, and I have not found a burger half as good as what you can find at Tom's. Been going here since I was little and the food hasn't changed, and if it did, it got better. The staff are all very friendly. We ate here on the way to a game at Pine Prairie High School. The burgers were really good with hand made patties. I love that they put grilled onions on it. The workers were all very friendly and stayed busy. We were the only people inside, but there was a steady stream of people coming through the drive thru line. We are from Orange County, CA. Whatever you want to eat is here. Fast food, fancy food, expensive food. It's all here!!! Except this all-American diner. Tom's Fried Chicken is a little shack in Bayou Chicot, Louisiana. Google it! Tom's is a little shack in Bayou country serving up fried chicken, po boys, shrimp, fish and salads....Friends, this is real food! The best!! Sure, it's 20 minutes off the highway, but where are you going to find a place like this? Our waitress, Jasmine, was born and raised there. An Acadian jewel! This was her world and we were only visiting. But, the welcome we received was palpable! My catfish was seasoned to perfection, the same as the shrimp. My wife's burger was definitely hand-formed -- juicy and delicious. More than the food was the experience! The neighbors don't go to the Ritz for dinner, they go to Tom's! You should, too!
