Knoll & Sons were incredibly pleasant, professional and great to work with... well, I didn't do any of the work, but they sure as heck did, and I did get a ring side show to some fascinating and intricately choreographed work. When they say 'you won't know they were there,' they mean it. Every evening for four days, the street, the alley, the yard, everything looked cleaner and better than when they arrived that morning. As to their note about treating your things like their own... my beloved one of a kind yard swing, hand created and welded by my grandfather for my grandmother, was gently moved even more in the clear than I had done, and put back in pride of place, at the end of the job. The son and Paul's brother both have a chip on their shoulder against those who have worked hard in life. They both believe this gives them license to price gouge and do sloppy work. I won't get into the details of the final time I used their service for an emergency other than I was way over-charged and agreed to the price anyway, thinking that Paul would correct the price after the fact since I've worked with him, in person, several times over the years. Paul did not, in fact he went out of his way to avoid me. I'm fairly confident that the son will run this family grown business into the ground within a few years. That should indicate my feelings towards Trees Plus. My new neighbors hired this company to take down a few large trees in our shared alley. First, they never knocked on the door or anything to tell us they would be completely blocking our car in the garage for consecutive days in a row. Fine, thats whatever don't be considerate thats okay. BUT the reason I am writing this review is because they took down the huge trees, which left many large branches on our roofs and one of the branches ripped our extra room roofing causing a leak into ur laundry room. We have lived here many months and never had an issue with roof leaking, we called out a contractor too see why the roof was leaking and lone behold he showed us the rip. My wife contacted Trees Plus and they said that nothing came close to our house and that there was no they did anything wrong. Which is interesting seeing that if you just ignore that dozens of branches they left on our roof, the debris from cutting down the trees clogged our gutters on that side of the roof, they used our window seals as cup holders for their lunch drinks, and the main contractors son walked all over our flowers killing those too. So it really seems that not only were you close to our property, but you were clearly on it. A couple hundred dollar fix, and I didn't even need any tree service. They finished everything in a day, cleaned our roof of more than their debris and blew and raked the lawn. It was as if I wished the trees away!
