I applaud the speed in which they respond. The email itself reads as follows: "Thank you for reaching out to me regarding your legal matter. This is to advise you that we decline representation of you. This decision does not in any way reflect upon the merits of your case and you are encouraged to speak with other attorneys; one resource is your local bar association's lawyer referral service. As a reminder, all cases have statutes of limitations that limit the amount of time within which a lawsuit may be brought. Therefore, you are encouraged to seek legal counsel as soon as possible if you want to pursue your case. Take care. [The Attorney Name He/Him/His]" I enquired what the reason might be and have yet heard back. I will update here if anything changes. They have a process via a Google Form Survey with various questions related to your case. My guess is that these questions are used as an achor for them to decide whether if you are considered a "good fit" for the firm to help you with your case. My case is in the realm of Employment Law and Overtime related with a tech consulting company. The hours I am disputing is on the lower end, which I speculate is the reason why the firm declined the case. I think it is fair, however, their business model and what they present on their front facing web page is simply incongruent to their final decision. Here is the message: "No matter too large, no issue too small" There are too many establishments out there that only consider profit at all cost and this one is clearly no different. Very unpleasant experience with zero results. Did not advocate for me as a client and let the other side walk all over me. Constantly have to check the attorney's work as it had tons of errors / he does not listen, take notes and this is on your dime. In my experience, this attorney speaks to you as though you are a peasant and not a human being. Be mindful that there are a ton of attorneys that will take your money and get you to the goals you want to achieve at a fraction of the cost. As another person reviewing mentioned, no resolution... but the amount of money I forked over is so large it could have been used for major life-moment purchases. I would not wish my experience on anyone. When I share my experience with attorney friends they are shocked and horrified. Work with an attorney who truly cares about you, and what has happened to you. Ask if he/she truly wants to see you get the situation resolved, if they promise to work with you until the end to get things resolved and what that will look like.
