We had an amazing experience here! We learned so much about the whole entire wine-making process, from planting to fermenting. We found it very educational and informative and left feeling satisfied with the sampling's they offered. If you go at an hour that the door is locked, be sure to call one of the numbers posted because they will come and open up for you at almost any hour. This was a complete surprise finding such quality wines in a small town like Miles City but I will be ordering more online and hope everyone continues supporting this wonderful, local, business. We visited this winery for our 19th anniversary. They were having an Italian Art Show and wine tasting with live music being played on the guitar and flute. We were impressed by the depth of knowledge that they had about the entire wine making process and equally, if not more, impressed my the graciousness and hospitality that they showed us. We were given a private tour in one of the rooms they make the wine and told the history of the winery and business. Afterwards we were allowed to roam the vineyard and examine their grapes and other fruits first hand. This place was a delight to visit and their wines are absolutely delicious. read more

If you are interested in an amazing wine experience then stop in at the Tongue River Winery in Miles City. This small family owned winery produces a wonderful variety of wines. They are constantly developing and refining different wines from hardy grapes and fruit that can withstand Montana's harsh winters. Although they produce award winning wines, it has taken time for their wines to be common knowledge in the whole State. Unlike breweries, there are few wineries in Montana. And even fewer wineries that grow, process and bottle wine entirely in Montana. Supporting "made and grown" in Montana wines that are high quality, fun and drinkable is a no brainer. Stayed here during our Harvest Host visit. Most charming place. The owners Marilyn and Bob were wonderful hosts and both spent last evening serving and tasting their wonderful wines with us.
